Ezekiel 35

1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,

١ وَأَوْحَى إِلَيَّ الرَّبُّ بِكَلِمَتِهِ قَائِلاً:

2 “Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

٢ «يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، الْتَفِتْ بِوَجْهِكَ نَحْوَ جَبَلِ سَعِيرَ وَتَنَبَّأْ عَلَيْهِ.

3 and you have said to it, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, O Mount Seir, And have stretched out My hand against you, And made you a desolation and an astonishment.

٣ وَقُلْ لأَهْلِهِ: هَا أَنَا أَنْقَلِبُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَبَلَ سَعِيرَ وَأُعَاقِبُكَ لأَجْعَلَكَ خَرَاباً مُقْفِراً.

4 I make your cities a ruin, and you are a desolation, And you have known that I [am] YHWH.

٤ أَجْعَلُ مُدُنَكَ أَطْلالاً وَتَكُونُ أَنْتَ مُقْفِراً، فَتُدْرِكُ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ.

5 Because of your having continuous enmity, And you saw the sons of Israel, By the hands of the sword, In the time of their calamity, In the time of the iniquity of the end:

٥ لأَنَّكَ أَضْمَرْتَ فِي نَفْسِكَ بُغْضَةً أَبَدِيَّةً، وَأَسْلَمْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلَى حَدِّ السَّيْفِ فِي أَثْنَاءِ مِحْنَتِهِمْ، فِي سَاعَةِ دَيْنُونَةِ إِثْمِهِمْ.

6 Therefore, [as] I live—a declaration of Lord YHWH, Surely I appoint you for blood, And blood pursues you, If you have not hated blood, Blood also pursues you.

٦ لِذَلِكَ حَيٌّ أَنَا يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ، إِنِّي أُعِدُّكَ لِسَفْكِ الدَّمِ، وَالدَّمُ يَتَعَقَّبُكَ. لأَنَّكَ لَمْ تَمْقُتْ سَفْكَ الدَّمِ فَالدَّمُ يَتَعَقَّبُكَ.

7 And I have given Mount Seir for a desolation and an astonishment, And have cut off from it him who is passing over and him who is returning,

٧ فَأُحَوِّلُ جَبَلَ سَعِيرَ إِلَى أَطْلالٍ وَأَسْتَأْصِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ ذَاهِبٍ وَآيِبٍ.

8 And filled his mountains with his wounded, Your hills, and your valleys, and all your streams, The pierced of the sword fall into them.

٨ وَأَجْعَلُ جِبَالَهُ تَكْتَظُّ بِقَتْلاهُ، فَيَتَسَاقَطُونَ فِي تِلالِكَ وَأَوْدِيَتِكَ وَجَمِيعِ أَنْهَارِكَ صَرْعَى السَّيْفِ.

9 I make you continuous desolations, And your cities do not return, And you have known that I [am] YHWH.

٩ وَأُحِيلُكَ إِلَى خَرَائِبَ أَبَدِيَّةٍ، فَلا يَبْقَى لِمُدُنِكَ أَثَرٌ، فَتُدْرِكُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ.

10 Because of your saying: The two nations and the two lands are mine, and we have possessed it, And YHWH has been there;

١٠ لأَنَّكَ قُلْتَ: إِنَّ هَاتَيْنِ الأُمَّتَيْنِ، وَهَاتَيْنِ الأَرْضَيْنِ تُصْبِحَانِ لِي فَأَمْتَلِكُهُمَا، وَلَوْ كَانَ الرَّبُّ هُنَاكَ.

11 Therefore, [as] I live—a declaration of Lord YHWH, And I have done according to your anger, And according to your envy, With which you have worked, Because of your hatred against them, And I have been known among them when I judge you.

١١ لِذَلِكَ حَيٌّ أَنَا يقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ: لَأُعَامِلَنَّكَ بِمُقْتَضَى غَضَبِكَ وَحَسَدِكَ اللَّذَيْنِ أَبْدَيْتَهُمَا فِي بَغْضَائِكَ لَهُمْ، فَأُعْلِنُ ذَاتِي عِنْدَمَا أَدِينُكَ.

12 And you have known that I [am] YHWH, I have heard all your despisings that you have spoken Against mountains of Israel, saying, A desolation—they were given to us for food.

١٢ فَتُدْرِكُ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ قَدْ سَمِعْتُ كُلَّ إِهَانَتِكَ الَّتِي عَيَّرْتَ بِها جِبَالَ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِلاً: قَدْ أَصْبَحَتْ خَرَاباً وَصَارَتْ لَنَا مَغْنَماً.

13 And you magnify yourselves against Me with your mouth, And have made your words abundant against Me; I have heard.

١٣ قَدْ تَبَاهَيْتُمْ عَلَيَّ بِأَفْوَاهِكُمْ، وَأَكْثَرْتُمْ مِنْ لَغْوِكُمْ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُ.

14 Thus said Lord YHWH: According to the rejoicing of the whole land, I make a desolation of you.

١٤ فَفِي مَوْسِمِ الرَّبِيعِ أَجْعَلُكَ مُقْفِراً

15 According to your joy at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of desolation, So I do to you—you are a desolation, O Mount Seir, and all Edom—all of it, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”

١٥ وَكَمَا فَرِحْتَ لِخَرَابِ مِيرَاثِ شَعْبِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، كَذَلِكَ أَفْعَلُ بِكَ، فَتَصِيرُ يَا جَبَلَ سَعِيرَ خَرَاباً أَنْتَ وَكُلُّ بِلادِ أَدُومَ فَتُدْرِكُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ».
