< Ezekiel 31 >
1 And it comes to pass, in the eleventh year, in the third [month], on the first of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying,
Mfeɛ dubaako mu bosome a ɛtɔ so mmiɛnsa no ɛda a ɛdi ɛkan no, Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ:
2 “Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude: To whom have you been like in your greatness?
“Onipa ba, ka kyerɛ Misraimhene Farao ne ne nipadɔm sɛ: “‘Hwan ho na yɛde wo kɛseyɛ bɛtoto?
3 Behold, Asshur, a cedar in Lebanon, Beautiful in branch, and shading bough, and high in stature, And its foliage has been between thickets.
Dwene Asiria ho, ntweneduro bi a berɛ bi na ɛwɔ Lebanon, Ɔde mman a ɛyɛ fɛ, na ɛhyɛ kwaeɛ so nyini kɔɔ ɔsoro yie, ma ne nkɔn mu boro nhahan a ayɛ kusuu no so.
4 Waters have made it great, The deep has exalted him with its flowings, Going around its planting, And it has sent forth its conduits to all trees of the field.
Nsuo no maa no aduane, nsuwa nsuwa a emu dɔ ma ɛnyini kɔɔ ɔsoro; wɔn asutene fofaa nʼase nyinaa de kɔɔ mfuo no so nnua nyinaa ho.
5 Therefore his stature has been higher than all trees of the field, And his boughs are multiplied, and his branches are long, Because of many waters in his shooting forth.
Enti ɛkɔɔ ɔsorosoro senee mfuo no so nnua nyinaa; ne dubaa dɔɔso ne mman nyini yɛɛ atentene, na nsuo dodoɔ a ɛnyaa no enti ɛdendaneeɛ.
6 Every bird of the heavens has made a nest in his boughs, And every beast of the field has brought forth under his branches, And all great nations dwell in his shade.
Ewiem nnomaa nyinaa yɛɛ wɔn pirebuo wɔ ne dubaa no mu, wiram mmoa nyinaa wowoo mma wɔ ne mman no ase aman akɛseɛ nyinaa tenaa ne nwunu ase.
7 And he is beautiful in his greatness, In the length of his thin shoots, For his root has been by great waters.
Na ne kɛseyɛ no yɛ fɛ, ne dubaa a adendan no enti, na ne nhini nyini kɔɔ fam kɔduruu nsuo bebree mu.
8 Cedars have not hid him in the garden of God, Firs have not been like to his boughs, And plane-trees have not been as his branches, No tree in the garden of God has been like to him in his beauty,
Ntweneduro a ɛwɔ Onyankopɔn turo mu nto no, na pepeaa nnua nso dubaa ne no nyɛ pɛ, na wɔntumi mfa ɔkyɛnkyɛn nnua nso ntoto ne mman ho, dua biara nni Onyankopɔn turo no mu a nʼahoɔfɛ te sɛ no.
9 I have made him beautiful in the multitude of his thin shoots, And all trees of Eden that [are] in the garden of God envy him.
Mebɔɔ no ahoɔfɛ maa no mman bebree, na nnua a ɛwɔ Eden nyinaa Onyankopɔn turo no mu no ani beree no.
10 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Because that you have been high in stature, And he yields his foliage between thickets, And his heart is high in his haughtiness,
“‘Ɛno enti, sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Esiane sɛ ɛnyini kɔɔ soro, maa ne nkɔn mu hyɛɛ nhahan a abunkam soɔ, na afei ɔyɛɛ ahantan wɔ ne tentenyɛ ho enti,
11 I give him into the hand of a god of nations, He deals severely with him, In his wickedness I have cast him out.
mede no hyɛɛ amanaman sodifoɔ nsa, sɛ ɔne no nni no sɛdeɛ nʼamumuyɛ teɛ. Mepoo no,
12 And strangers cut him off, The terrible of nations, and they leave him, His thin shoots have fallen on the mountains and in all valleys, And his boughs are broken at all streams of the land, And all peoples of the land go down from his shade, and they leave him.
na ananafoɔ aman no mu tutugyagu twaa no hwee fam na ɔgyaa no hɔ. Ne dubaa no hwehwee mmepɔ ne mmɔnhwa mu; ne mman mu bubuiɛ wɔ subɔnhwa mu. Asase so aman nyinaa firii ne nwunu ase, na wɔgyaa no hɔ.
13 Every bird of the heavens dwells on his ruin, And all beasts of the field have been on his boughs,
Ewiem nnomaa nyinaa sisii dua a abu no so, na wiram mmoa kɔhyehyɛɛ ne mman mu.
14 In order that none of the trees of the waters May become haughty because of their stature, Nor give their foliage between thickets, Nor any drinking waters stand up to them in their haughtiness, For all of them are given up to death, To the lower earth, In the midst of the sons of men, To those going down to the pit.
Ɛno enti, nnua a ɛwɔ nsuo ho no mu biara renyɛ ahantan, nnyini nkɔ sorosoro, mmoro nhahan a abunkam so. Nnua foforɔ biara a ɛnya nsuo bebree no rennyini nkɔ soro saa bio. Wɔahyɛ sɛ wɔn nyinaa bɛwu akɔ asase ase, wɔ nnipa mma a wɔsiane kɔ amena mu no nkyɛn.
15 Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused mourning in the day of his going down to Sheol, I have covered the deep over him, and diminish its flowings, And many waters are restrained, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field [have been] a covering for him. (Sheol )
“‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Ɛda a wɔde no too damena mu no, mede awerɛhoɔ kataa nsuwansuwa a emu dɔ no so maa no, ma amma ne asutene no antene, na mesii ne nsuo dodoɔ no ɛkwan. Ne enti mede kusuuyɛ firaa Lebanon, na nnua a ɛwɔ ɛserɛ no so nyinaa botooɛ. (Sheol )
16 I have caused nations to shake at the sound of his fall, In My causing him to go down to Sheol, With those going down to the pit, And all trees of Eden are comforted in the lower earth, The choice and good of Lebanon—All drinking waters. (Sheol )
Memaa aman no ho popoeɛ wɔ nʼahweaseɛ nnyegyeeɛ no ho, ɛberɛ a mede no baa damena mu ɛne wɔn a wɔasiane kɔ amena mu no. Afei Eden nnua nyinaa, deɛ ɛte apɔ na ɛyɛ papa wɔ Lebanon, nnua a ɛnya nsuo yie nyinaa nyaa awerɛkyekyerɛ wɔ asase ase. (Sheol )
17 Those with him have also gone down to Sheol, To the pierced of the sword, And—his arm—they dwelt in his shade in the midst of nations. (Sheol )
Wɔn a wɔtenaa ne nwunu ase, ne ne mpamfoɔ a wɔwɔ amanaman no mu nso ne no kɔ damena mu, akɔka wɔn a wɔtotɔɔ wɔ akofena ano no ho. (Sheol )
18 To whom have you been thus like, In glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? And you have been brought down with the trees of Eden, To the lower earth, You lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, With the pierced of the sword. This [is] Pharaoh, and all his multitude, A declaration of Lord YHWH!”
“‘Nnua a ɛwɔ Eden no mu deɛ ɛwɔ he na ɛbɛtumi de ne ho atoto wo ho wɔ animuonyam ne kɛseyɛ mu? Nanso, wo nso wɔbɛsiane wo akɔ fam, wo ne Eden nnua no. Wobɛfra momonotofoɔ mu, wɔn a wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano no. “‘Yei yɛ Farao ne ne nipadɔm no, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.’”
