Ezekiel 30
1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
Ergasii dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
2 “Son of man, prophesy, and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: Howl, Aah! For the day!
“Yaa ilma namaa raaji; akkanas jedhi; ‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: “‘Wawwaadhuutii akkana jedhi; “Guyyaa sanaaf wayyoo!”
3 For a day [is] near, a day [is] near to YHWH! It is a time of cloud [over] the nations.
Guyyaan sun dhiʼoo dha; Guyyaan Waaqayyoo dhiʼoo dha; innis guyyaa duumessaa, sabootaaf immoo yeroo badiisaa ni taʼa.
4 And a sword has come into Egypt, And there has been great pain in Cush, In the falling of the wounded in Egypt, And they have taken its store, And its foundations have been broken down.
Gibxitti goraadeen ni dhufa; Itoophiyaatti immoo dhiphinni ni dhufa. Yommuu warri qalaman Gibxi keessatti kukkufanitti, qabeenyi ishee saamamee fudhatama; hundeewwan ishee immoo ni diigamu.
5 Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mixture, and Chub, And the sons of the land of the covenant fall by sword with them,
Itoophiyaa fi Fuuxi, Luudii fi biyyi Arabaa hundi, Liibiyaa fi uummanni biyya kakuu Gibxi wajjin goraadeedhaan ni dhumu.
6 Thus said YHWH: And those supporting Egypt have fallen, And the arrogance of her strength has come down, From Migdol to Syene, they fall by sword in her, A declaration of Lord YHWH.
“‘Waaqayyo akkana jedha: “‘Tumsitoonni Gibxi ni kufu; humni isheen ittiin boontu ni dadhaba. Migdoolii hamma Aswaanitti, isaan ishee keessatti goraadeedhaan ni dhumu, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.
7 And they have been desolated in the midst of desolate lands, And its cities are in the midst of cities [that are] laid waste.
Isaan biyyoota onan gidduutti, onanii hafu; magaalaawwan isaaniis magaalaawwan diigaman gidduutti argamu.
8 And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving fire against Egypt, And all her helpers have been broken.
Yommuu ani Gibxitti ibidda qabsiisee warri ishee gargaaran hundi barbadaaʼanitti, isaan akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beeku.
9 In that day messengers go forth from before Me in ships, To trouble confident Cush, And there has been great pain among them, As the day of Egypt, for behold, it has come.
“‘Gaafas namoota Itoophiyaa kanneen yaaddoo malee jiraatan sodaachisuuf, ergamoonni dooniidhaan na biraa ni baʼu. Guyyaa badiisa Gibxitti dhiphinni isaan qabata; wanni kun dhugumaan ni dhufaatii.
10 Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused the multitude of Egypt to cease, By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,
“‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: “‘Ani harka Nebukadnezar mooticha Baabiloniin namoota Gibxi hedduu nan barbadeessa.
11 He and his people with him—the terrible of nations, Are brought in to destroy the land, And they have drawn their swords against Egypt, And have filled the land [with] the wounded.
Innii fi loltoonni isaa kanneen saboota keessaa akka malee hamoo taʼan, akka biyyattii balleessaniif ni fidamu. Isaanis goraadee isaanii Gibxitti luqqifatanii reeffaan biyyattii guutu.
12 And I have made floods a dry place, And I have sold the land into the hand of evildoers, And I have made the land desolate, And its fullness, by the hand of strangers, I, YHWH, have spoken.
Ani bishaan Abbayyaa nan gogsa; biyyattiis namoota hamootti nan gurgura; harka alagootaatiin biyyattii fi waan ishee keessa jiru hunda nan onsa. Ani Waaqayyo dubbadheera.
13 Thus said Lord YHWH: And I have destroyed idols, And caused vain things to cease from Noph, And there is no longer a prince of the land of Egypt, And I give fear in the land of Egypt.
“‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: “‘Ani waaqota tolfamoo nan balleessa; fakkiiwwan Memfiis keessa jiranis nan facaasa. Siʼachi Gibxi keessatti bulchaan hin argamu; biyyattii guutuu keessas sodaa nan buusa.
14 And I have made Pathros desolate, And I have given fire against Zoan, And I have done judgments in No,
Phaxroosin nan onsa; Zooʼaanitti ibidda nan qabsiisa; Tebesiin immoo nan adaba.
15 And I have poured out My fury on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, And I have cut off the multitude of No.
Daʼannoo Gibxi jabaa jechuunis Siin irratti dheekkamsa koo nan dhangalaasa; uummata Tebesi hedduu sana illee nan balleessa.
16 And I have given fire against Egypt, Sin is greatly pained, and No is to be broken, And Noph has daily distresses.
Ani Gibxitti ibidda nan qabsiisa; Siin dhiphinaan raafamti. Tebesi dambaliidhaan ni fudhatamti; Memfiis dhiphina wal irraa hin cinneen ni dhiphatti.
17 The youths of Aven and Pi-Beseth fall by sword, And these go into captivity.
Dargaggoonni Aawwenii fi Phii-Beseti goraadeedhaan dhumu; magaalaawwan mataan isaanii iyyuu ni boojiʼamu.
18 And the day has been dark in Tehaphnehes, In My breaking the yokes of Egypt there, And the excellence of her strength has ceased in her, Her! A cloud covers her, And her daughters go into captivity.
Yommuu ani waanjoo Gibxi cabsutti, Tahiphaanheesitti guyyaan ni dukkanaaʼa; humni isheen ittiin boontus ni laafa. Isheen hurriidhaan haguugamti; gandoonni ishee immoo ni boojiʼamu.
19 And I have done judgments in Egypt, And they have known that I [am] YHWH.”
Kanaafuu ani Gibxiin nan adaba; isaanis akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beeku.’”
20 And it comes to pass, in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying, “Son of man,
Waggaa kudha tokkoffaatti, jiʼa tokkoffaa keessa, guyyaa torbaffaatti dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
21 I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And behold, it has not been bound up to give healing, To put a bandage to bind it, To strengthen it—to lay hold on the sword.
“Yaa ilma namaa, ani irree Faraʼoon mooticha Gibxi cabseera. Inni akka fayyuuf hin hidhamne yookaan shambaqqoon hidhamee akka jabaatee goraadee qabachuu dandaʼu hin godhamne.
22 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And I have broken his arms, The strong one and the broken one, And have caused the sword to fall out of his hand,
Kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Ani Faraʼoon mooticha Gibxitti kaʼeera. Ani irree isaa lachanuu, isa fayyaa, isa cabe sana illee cabsee akka goraadeen harka isaatii buʼu nan godha.
23 And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And have spread them through lands,
Ani namoota Gibxi saboota gidduutti nan faffacaasa; biyyoota keessas isaan nan bibittinneessa.
24 And I have strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And have given My sword into his hand, And I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, And he has groaned the groans of a pierced one—before him.
Irree mootii Baabilon nan jabeessa; goraadee koos harka isaa keessa nan kaaʼa; irree Faraʼoon garuu nan cabsa; innis fuula isaa duratti akkuma nama akka malee madaaʼeetti ni aada.
25 And I have strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And the arms of Pharaoh fall down, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, And he has stretched it out toward the land of Egypt.
Irree mootii Baabilon nan jabeessa; irreen Faraʼoon garuu ni laafa. Yommuu ani goraadee koo harka mootii Baabilon keessa kaaʼee inni immoo Gibxitti isa mirmirsutti isaan akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beeku.
26 And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have spread them through lands, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
Ani namoota Gibxi saboota gidduu nan faffacaasa; biyyoota keessas isaan nan bibittinneessa. Isaanis akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beeku.”
