Ezekiel 29
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], on the twelfth of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying,
Im zehnten Jahr, im zehnten Monat, am zwölften des Monats, erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
2 “Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt—all of it.
Menschensohn, richte dein Antlitz gegen den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, und weissage wider ihn und wider ganz Ägypten.
3 Speak, and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who has said, My flood [is] my own, And I have made it [for] myself.
Sprich und sage: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will an dich, Pharao, König von Ägypten, du großes Krokodil, das inmitten seiner Ströme lagert, das da spricht: Mein ist der Nil, ich habe ihn gemacht!
4 And I have put hooks in your jaws, And I have caused the fish of your floods to cleave to your scales, And I have caused you to come up from the midst of your floods, And every fish of your floods cleaves to your scales.
So will ich denn Haken in deine Kinnbacken legen und die Fische deiner Ströme an deine Schuppen ankleben lassen und dich mitten aus deinen Strömen herausziehen samt allen Fischen deiner Ströme, die an deinen Schuppen kleben.
5 And I have left you in the wilderness, You and every fish of your floods, You fall on the face of the field, You are not gathered nor assembled, I have given you for food to the beast of the earth and to the bird of the heavens.
Und ich will dich in die Wüste verstoßen, dich und alle Fische deiner Ströme; auf das freie Feld sollst du hinfallen, wirst nicht aufgehoben noch bestattet werden: den wilden Tieren und den Vögeln unter dem Himmel gebe ich dich zum Fraße.
6 And all inhabitants of Egypt have known That I [am] YHWH, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
Da sollen dann alle Bewohner Ägyptens erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin. Weil du für das Haus Israel nichts als eine Stütze von Schilfrohr bist -
7 In their taking hold of you by your hand, You crush and have torn every shoulder of theirs, And in their leaning on you you are broken, And have caused all their thighs to stand.
wenn sie dich mit der Hand anfassen, knickst du ein und reißest ihnen die ganze Hand auf, und wenn sie sich auf dich stützen, dann brichst du durch und bringst ihre ganzen Hüften zum Wanken! -
8 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am bringing in a sword against you, And have cut off man and beast from you.
darum spricht der Herr Jahwe also: Fürwahr, ich will das Schwert über dich bringen und Menschen und Vieh aus dir hinwegtilgen.
9 And the land of Egypt has been for a desolation and a ruin, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, Because he said: The flood [is] mine, and I made [it].
Und Ägyptenland soll zur Wüste und Öde werden, damit sie erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin. Weil du gesagt hast: “Mein ist der Nil und ich habe ihn gemacht!”
10 Therefore, behold, I [am] against you, and against your floods, And have given the land of Egypt for ruins, A dry place, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And to the border of Cush.
Darum, fürwahr, will ich an dich und an deine Ströme und will Ägypten zu Einöden, zur wüsten Einöde machen von Mygdol bis Syene und bis an die Grenze von Kusch.
11 A foot of man does not pass over into it, Indeed, the foot of beast does not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.
Kein menschlicher Fuß soll es durchwandern, auch keines Tieres Fuß soll es durchwandern: unbewohnt soll es bleiben vierzig Jahre lang.
12 And I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of cities [that are] laid waste, Are a desolation [for] forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.
Und ich will Ägypten zu einer Wüste machen inmitten verwüsteter Länder, und seine Städte sollen wüste liegen inmitten verödeter Städte vierzig Jahre lang, und ich werde die Ägypter unter die Völker zerstreuen und in die Länder versprengen.
13 But thus said Lord YHWH: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples to where they have been scattered,
Denn so spricht der Herr Jahwe: nach Ablauf von vierzig Jahren werde ich die Ägypter wiederum sammeln aus den Völkern, unter die sie zerstreut wurden,
14 And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been a low kingdom there.
und werde das Geschick Ägyptens wenden und sie in das Land Pathros, das Land ihres Ursprungs, zurückbringen; daselbst werden sie ein geringes Reich bilden.
15 It is lowest of the kingdoms, And it does not lift itself up above the nations anymore, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.
Es wird geringer sein, als die üblichen Reiche und sich fortan nicht mehr über die Völker erheben, und ich mache ihre Zahl gering, daß sie nicht mehr über die Völker herrschen können.
16 And it is no longer for confidence to the house of Israel, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I [am] Lord YHWH.”
Dann wird für das Haus Israel ein solcher nicht mehr Gegenstand des Vertrauens sein, der ihre Verschuldung in Erinnerung bringt, wenn sie sich ihnen anschließen; und sie werden erkennen, daß ich Jahwe, der Herr, bin.
17 And it comes to pass, in the twenty-seventh year, in the first [month], on the first of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying,
Im 27. Jahr aber, im ersten Monat, am ersten des Monats, erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
18 “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Has caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head [is] bald—every shoulder peeled, And neither he, nor his force, had reward out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.
Menschensohn! Nebukadrezar, der König von Babel, hat sein Heer eine schwere Arbeit gegen Tyrus verrichten lassen: jeglicher Kopf ist kahl geworden, und jegliche Schulter ist abgeschunden; aber Lohn ist ihm und seinem Heere von Tyrus nicht zu teil geworden, für die Arbeit, die er gegen es verrichtet hat.
19 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, And he has taken away its store, And has taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it has been a reward to his force.
Deshalb spricht der Herr Jahwe also: Fürwahr, ich will Nebukadrezar, dem Könige von Babel, das Land Ägypten schenken, damit er seinen Reichtum fortschleppe und es ausraube und ausplündere: das soll seinem Heer als Lohn werden!
20 I have given to him his wage for which he labored—The land of Egypt, in that they worked for Me, A declaration of Lord YHWH.
Als seinen Sold, um den es Dienst gethan hat, gebe ich ihnen das Land Ägypten, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe.
21 In that day I cause a horn to shoot up for the house of Israel, And I give an opening to your mouth in their midst, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
An jenem Tage will ich dem Hause Israel ein Horn sprossen lassen und dir will ich ein freudiges Aufthun des Mundes in ihrer Mitte verleihen, damit sie erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin.
