Ezekiel 25

1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,

La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:

2 “Son of man, set your face toward the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them;

“Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los hijos de Amón y profetiza contra ellos.

3 and you have said to the sons of Ammon: Hear a word of Lord YHWH! Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of your saying, Aha, to My sanctuary, Because it has been defiled, And to the ground of Israel, Because it has been desolate, And to the house of Judah, Because they have gone into a removal:

Di a los hijos de Amón: “¡Oigan la palabra del Señor Yahvé! El Señor Yahvé dice: “Por cuanto dijisteis: ‘¡Ah!’ contra mi santuario cuando fue profanado, y contra la tierra de Israel cuando fue desolada, y contra la casa de Judá cuando fue en cautiverio,

4 Therefore, behold, I am giving you to sons of the east for a possession, And they set their towers in you, And have placed their dwelling places in you. They eat your fruit, and they drink your milk,

por tanto, he aquí que os entregaré a los hijos del oriente como posesión. Ellos pondrán sus campamentos en ti y harán sus moradas en ti. Comerán tus frutos y beberán tu leche.

5 And I have given Rabbah for a habitation of camels, And the sons of Ammon for the crouching of a flock, And you have known that I [am] YHWH.

Haré de Rabá un establo para los camellos y de los hijos de Amón un lugar de descanso para los rebaños. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.

6 For thus said Lord YHWH: Because of your clapping the hand, And of your stamping with the foot, And you rejoice with all your despite in soul Against the ground of Israel,

Porque el Señor Yahvé dice: “Por haber batido las manos, estampado los pies y alegrado con todo el desprecio de tu alma contra la tierra de Israel,

7 Therefore, behold, I have stretched out My hand against you, And have given you for a portion to nations, And I have cut you off from the peoples, And caused you to perish from the lands; I destroy you, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.

por lo tanto, he aquí que he extendido mi mano sobre ti y te entregaré como botín a las naciones. Te cortaré de entre los pueblos, y te haré perecer de entre los países. Te destruiré. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé”.

8 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the saying of Moab and Seir: Behold, the house of Judah [is] as all the nations;

“‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “Porque Moab y Seir dicen: ‘He aquí que la casa de Judá es como todas las naciones’,

9 Therefore, behold, I am opening the shoulder of Moab—From the cities—from his cities—from his frontier, The beauty of the land, Beth-Jeshimoth, Ba‘al-Meon, and Kiriathaim,

por lo tanto, he aquí que yo abro el costado de Moab desde las ciudades, desde sus ciudades que están en sus fronteras, la gloria del país, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meón y Quiriatáim,

10 To the sons of the east, with the sons of Ammon, And I have given it for a possession, So that the sons of Ammon are not remembered among nations.

a los hijos del oriente, para que vayan contra los hijos de Amón; y se los daré por posesión, para que los hijos de Amón no sean recordados entre las naciones.

11 And I do judgments in Moab, And they have known that I [am] YHWH.

Ejecutaré juicios sobre Moab. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.

12 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Indeed, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them.

“‘Dice el Señor Yahvé: “Por cuanto Edom se ha ensañado con la casa de Judá tomando venganza, y ha ofendido en gran manera, y se ha vengado de ellos”,

13 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off man and beast from it, And given it up—a ruin, from Teman even to Dedan, They fall by sword.

por eso dice el Señor Yahvé: “Extenderé mi mano sobre Edom, y cortaré de ella hombres y animales; y la haré desolada desde Temán. Caerán a espada hasta Dedán.

14 And I have given My vengeance on Edom, By the hand of My people Israel, And they have done in Edom, According to My anger, and according to My fury, And they have known My vengeance, A declaration of Lord YHWH.

Yo pondré mi venganza en Edom por mano de mi pueblo Israel. Harán en Edom según mi cólera y según mi ira. Entonces conocerán mi venganza”, dice el Señor Yahvé.

15 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the doings of the Philistines in vengeance, And they take vengeance with despite in soul, Destruction [with] continuous enmity,

“‘El Señor Yahvé dice: “Por cuanto los filisteos se han vengado, y se han vengado con desprecio del alma para destruir con hostilidad perpetua,”

16 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea,

por lo tanto, el Señor Yahvé dice: “He aquí que yo extiendo mi mano sobre los filisteos, y cortaré a los queretanos, y destruiré el remanente de la costa del mar.

17 And done great vengeance on them with furious reproofs, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving out My vengeance on them!”

Ejecutaré sobre ellos una gran venganza con reprimendas de ira. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé, cuando haga mi venganza contra ellos”.
