Ezekiel 25

1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,

Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:

2 “Son of man, set your face toward the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them;

"Auf, Menschensohn! Dein Antlitz richte gegen Ammons Söhne und prophezeie gegen sie

3 and you have said to the sons of Ammon: Hear a word of Lord YHWH! Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of your saying, Aha, to My sanctuary, Because it has been defiled, And to the ground of Israel, Because it has been desolate, And to the house of Judah, Because they have gone into a removal:

und sprich: 'Über die Söhne Ammons vernehmt ein Wort des Herrn, des Herrn! So spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Weil du im Hohne sprichst von meinem Heiligtum: 'Es ist entweiht', vom Lande Israel: 'Es ist verwüstet', vom Hause Juda: 'In die Verbannung ist's gewandert',

4 Therefore, behold, I am giving you to sons of the east for a possession, And they set their towers in you, And have placed their dwelling places in you. They eat your fruit, and they drink your milk,

drum geb ich dich des Ostens Söhnen zum Besitz, auf daß sie ihre Ringlager in dir errichten und ihre Wohnung in dir nehmen. Sie sollen deine Früchte essen und deine Milch austrinken.

5 And I have given Rabbah for a habitation of camels, And the sons of Ammon for the crouching of a flock, And you have known that I [am] YHWH.

Und zur Kameltrift mache ich Rabbat, das Land der Ammonssöhne zum Schaflagerplatz, daß ihr erkennt: Ich bin der Herr."

6 For thus said Lord YHWH: Because of your clapping the hand, And of your stamping with the foot, And you rejoice with all your despite in soul Against the ground of Israel,

Denn also spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Du klatschtest in die Hände und stampftest mit dem Fuße. Du freutest dich aus tiefstem Herzen über das Land Israel.

7 Therefore, behold, I have stretched out My hand against you, And have given you for a portion to nations, And I have cut you off from the peoples, And caused you to perish from the lands; I destroy you, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.

Drum strecke ich die Hand aus gegen dich und gebe Heidenvölkern dich zur Beute und rotte aus dem Kreis der Nationen dich aus und laß dich aus den Völkern schwinden. Ich tilge dich, auf daß du innewerdest: Ich bin der Herr."'"

8 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the saying of Moab and Seir: Behold, the house of Judah [is] as all the nations;

So spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Weil Moab so wie Seïr spricht: 'Jetzt geht's dem Judahaus wie allen andern Heidenvölkern',

9 Therefore, behold, I am opening the shoulder of Moab—From the cities—from his cities—from his frontier, The beauty of the land, Beth-Jeshimoth, Ba‘al-Meon, and Kiriathaim,

deswegen übergebe ich nun Moabs Hang mit seinen Städten und seinem besten Teile. Das schönste Land, die Landschaft von Bet Jesimot, Baal Meon und Kirjataim

10 To the sons of the east, with the sons of Ammon, And I have given it for a possession, So that the sons of Ammon are not remembered among nations.

verleihe ich des Ostens Söhnen zum Besitz, zum Land der Söhne Ammons noch hinzu, damit der Name der Söhne Ammons bei der Heidenwelt erlösche.

11 And I do judgments in Moab, And they have known that I [am] YHWH.

So will ich auch an Moab ein Gericht vollziehn, damit sie innewerden, daß der Herr ich bin."

12 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Indeed, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them.

So spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Am Judahaus hat Edom rachgierig gehandelt und sich dadurch verschuldet, weil es Rache an ihm nahm."

13 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off man and beast from it, And given it up—a ruin, from Teman even to Dedan, They fall by sword.

"Deshalb", so spricht der Herr, der Herr, "streck ich jetzt gegen Edom meine Hand aus und tilge Mensch und Vieh daraus und mache es zu einer Wüstenei von Teman bis nach Dedan. Sie stürzen durch das Schwert.

14 And I have given My vengeance on Edom, By the hand of My people Israel, And they have done in Edom, According to My anger, and according to My fury, And they have known My vengeance, A declaration of Lord YHWH.

Ich gebe meine Rache an Edom in die Hände meines Volkes Israel. Nach meinem Zorn und Grimm tun sie mit Edom, daß es meine Rache fühlt." Ein Spruch des Herrn, des Herrn.

15 Thus said Lord YHWH: Because of the doings of the Philistines in vengeance, And they take vengeance with despite in soul, Destruction [with] continuous enmity,

So spricht der Herr, der Herr: "Weil die Philister rachegierig handelten und tief verachtend Rache nahmen aus alter Feindschaft bis zur Ausrottung",

16 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea,

darum spricht so der Herr, der Herr, "ich strecke meine Hand aus wider die Philister, um die aus Kreta zu vernichten, den Rest am Meeresstrande zu vertilgen.

17 And done great vengeance on them with furious reproofs, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving out My vengeance on them!”

Ich strafe hart und züchtige im Grimm, damit sie innewerden, daß ich der Herr, wenn ich an ihnen meine Rache nehme."
