Ezekiel 17
1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
2 “Son of man, put forth a riddle, and use an allegory to the house of Israel,
“ए मानिसको छोरो, इस्राएलका घरानालाई एउटा उखान भन् र एउटा दृष्टान्त प्रस्तुत गर् ।
3 and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: The great eagle, great-winged, long-pinioned, Full of feathers, that has diverse colors, Has come to Lebanon, And he takes the foliage of the cedar,
यसो भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः ठुला पखेटा र धैरै रङ्का लामा सुन्दर प्वाँखहरू भएको एउटा ठुलो चील उडेर लेबनानमा आयो, र देवदारुको टुप्पामा बस्यो ।
4 He has cropped the top of its tender twigs, And he brings it to the land of Canaan. He has placed it in a city of merchants.
त्यसले हाँगाहरूका टुप्पाहरू भाँच्यो र ती कनान देशमा लिएर गयो । त्यसले त्यो व्यापारीहरूका एउटा सहरमा रोप्यो ।
5 And he takes of the seed of the land, And puts it in a field of seed, He took [it] by many waters, He has set it in a conspicuous place.
त्यसले देशको केही बिउ लग्यो र ती मलिलो जमिनमा रोप्यो । त्यसले बैंसको बोटजस्तै प्रशस्त पानी भएको ठाउँमा त्यो रोप्यो ।
6 And it springs up, and becomes a spreading vine, humble of stature, To turn its thin shoots toward itself, And its roots are under it, And it becomes a vine, and makes boughs, And sends forth beautiful branches.
तब त्यो उम्य्रो र जमिनमा झुकेर फैलिएको दाखको बोटजस्तो भयो । त्यसका हाँगाहरू ऊतिर फर्किए र त्यसका जराहरूचाहिं भित्रै बढे । यसरी त्यो एउटा दाखको बटो भयो र त्यसका हाँगाहरू र मुनाहरू पलाए ।
7 And there is another great eagle, Great-winged, and abounding with feathers, And behold, this vine has bent its roots toward him, And it has sent out its thin shoots toward him, To water it from the furrows of its planting,
तर त्यहाँ ठुला पखेटा र धेरै प्वाखले भएको अर्को एउटा ठुलो चील थियो । हेर, त्यस दाखको बोटले आफू रोपिएको ठाउँबाट आफ्ना जराहरू त्यो चीलतिर फर्कायो र आफ्ना हाँगाहरू त्यही चीलतिर नै फैलायो, यसरी त्यसले पानी पाउन सकोस् ।
8 On a good field, by many waters, it is planted, to make branches, and to bear fruit, to be for a good vine.
प्रशस्त पानीको छेउमा एउटा राम्रो जमिनमा त्यो लगाइएको थियो, जसले गर्दा एउटा शानदार दाखको बोट हुनलाई त्यसमा हाँगाहरू पलाओस्, फलहरू पलोस् ।’
9 Say, Thus said Lord YHWH: It prospers—does he not draw out its roots, And cut off its fruit, and it is withered? [In] all the leaves of its springing it withers, And not by great strength, or by numerous people, To lift it up by its roots.
मानिसहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः के त्यो सप्रला त? के त्यो जरैसमेत उखेलिंदैन र त्यसका फलहरू टिपिंदैनन्, र त्यो ओइलाउनेछैन र? त्यसलाई जरैसमेत उखेल्नलाई बलियो हात वा धेरै मानिसहरू आवश्यक हुनेछैन् ।
10 And behold, the planted thing—does it prosper? When the east wind comes against it, does it not utterly wither? On the furrows of its springing it withers.”
यसैले हेर्, त्यसलाई रोपेपछि के त्यो बढ्छ र? पूर्वीय बतासले त्यसलाई हानेपछि के त्यो ओइलाउँदैन र? त्यो उम्रेकै बगैंचाको जमिनमा त्यो पूर्ण रूपमा सुक्छ' ।”
11 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
12 “Now say to the house of rebellion, Have you not known what these [are]? Say, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem, And he takes its king, and its princes, And brings them to himself to Babylon.
“विद्रोही घरानालाई भन्, 'यी कुराको अर्थ के हुन्छ भनी तिमीहरू जान्दैनौ? बेबिलोनको राजा यरूशलेममा आयो, र त्यसका राजा र शासकहरूलाई लियो र तिनीहरूलाई आफूसँग बेबिलोनमा लग्यो ।
13 And he takes of the seed of the kingdom, And makes a covenant with him, And brings him into an oath, And he has taken the mighty of the land,
तब त्यसले राजकीय वंशमध्येको एक जनालाई लियो, ऊसित एउटा करार गर्यो र उसलाई शपथले बाँध्यो । उसले देशका शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई लग्यो,
14 That the kingdom may be humble, That it may not lift itself up, To keep his covenant—that it may stand.
यसरी त्यो राज्य निर्बल रहोस् र फेरि खडा हुन नसकोस् । उसको करार पालन गरेर देश रहन सकोस् ।
15 And he rebels against him, To send his messengers to Egypt, To give to him horses, and many people, Does he prosper? Does he who is doing these things escape? And has he broken covenant and escaped?
तर मिश्रदेशबाट घोडाहरू र फौज झिकाउनलाई यरूशलेमका राजाले उसको विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गरेर मिश्रदेशमा आफ्ना राजदूतहरू पठायो । के त्यो सफल हुनेछ र? के यस्ता कुराहरू गर्ने मानिस उम्कन सक्छ र? करार भङ्ग गरेपछि पनि के त्यो उम्कन सक्छ र?
16 [As] I live—a declaration of Lord YHWH, Does he not—in the place of the king who is causing him to reign, Whose oath he has despised, And whose covenant he has broken—die with him in the midst of Babylon?
जस्तो म जीवित छु— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो— उसलाई राजा बनाउने राजाको देशमा नै ऊ मर्नेछ, जुन राजाको शपथलाई उसले तुच्छ ठान्यो र जसको करारलाई उसले भङ्ग गर्यो । बेबिलोनको बिचमा ऊ मर्नेछ ।
17 And not with a great force, and with a numerous assembly, Does Pharaoh maintain him in battle, By pouring out a mound, and in building a fortification, To cut off many souls.
फारोले आफ्ना शक्तिशाली फौज र ठुलो दलको साथमा लडाइँमा उसलाई सहायता गर्नेछैन । त्यति बेला धेरै जना मानिसलाई नाश गर्न ठुला घेरा-मचान तयार गरिन्छन् र घेरा हाल्नलाई पर्खालहरू बनाइन्छन् ।
18 And he despised the oath—to break covenant, And behold, he has given his hand, And all these he has done—he does not escape.
किनकि त्यो राजाले करार भङ्ग गरेर उसको शपथलाई अपमान गर्यो । हेर, उसले प्रतिज्ञा गर्नको निम्ति आफ्नो हात पसार्यो तापनि उसले यी कामहरू गर्यो । ऊ उम्कनेछैन ।
19 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: [As] I live—My oath that he has despised, And My covenant that he has broken, Have I not put it on his head?
यसैकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः जस्तो म जीवित छु, मेरो शपथलाई उसले अपमान गरेको र मेरो करारलाई उसले भङ्ग गरेको होइन र? त्यसैले उसको दण्ड म उसकै शिरमा खन्याइदिनेछु ।
20 And I have spread out My snare for him, And he has been caught in My net, And I have brought him to Babylon, And judged him there [for the] trespass That he has trespassed against Me.
म आफ्नो जाल त्यसमाथि फिंजाउनेछु र मेरो शिकारी जालमा ऊ पर्नेछ । तब म उसलाई बेबिलोनमा लानेछु, र उसले मलाई धोका दिंदा उसले मप्रति गरेको विद्रोहको निम्ति म उसको न्याय गर्नेछु ।
21 And all his fugitives, with all his bands, Fall by sword, and those remaining, They are spread out to every wind, And you have known that I, YHWH, have spoken.
उसका शरणार्थी फौज सबै तरवारले मारिनेछन्, र बाँचेकाहरू चारैतिर तितरबितर हुनेछन् । तब म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तैंले जान्नेछस् । यो हुनेछ भनी मैले घोषणा गरेको हुँ ।
22 Thus said Lord YHWH: I have taken of the foliage of the high cedar, And I have set [it], I crop a tender one from the top of its tender shoots, And I have planted [it] on a high and lofty mountain.
परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'यसैले त्यो देवदारुको सबैभन्दा टुप्पाको भाग म नै लिएर जानेछु, र म त्यसलाई त्यसका कोमल हाँगादेखि टाढा रोप्नेछु । त्यसलाई म भाँच्नेछु र त्यसलाई एउटा उच्च पर्वतमा रोप्नेछु ।
23 In a mountain—the high place of Israel, I plant it, And it has borne boughs, and yielded fruit, And become a good cedar, And every bird of every [kind of] wing has dwelt under it, They dwell in the shade of its thin shoots.
त्यसलाई इस्राएलको पर्वतहरूमा रोप्नेछु, ताकि त्यसमा हाँगाहरू पलाउनेछन् र फल फलाउनेछ, र त्यो एउटा सुन्दर देवदारु होस् ताकि पखेटा भएका हरेक चरा त्योमुनि बस्न सकोस् । त्यसका हाँगाहरूका छायामा तिनीहरूले गुँड लागाउन सकून् ।
24 And all trees of the field have known That I, YHWH, have made the high tree low, I have set the low tree on high, I have dried up the moist tree, And I have caused the dry tree to flourish, I, YHWH, have spoken, and have done [it]!”
तब मैदानका सबै रूखले म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी जान्नेछन् । म अग्लो रूखलाई होचो बनाउनेछु, र होचो रूखलाई अल्गो बनाउनेछु । पानी पाएको रूखलाई म सुकाइदिन्छु र सुकेको रूखलाई म हरियो बनाउँछु । म परमप्रभु हुँ । मैले नै यो कुरा हुनेछ भनी घोषणा गरेको छु । अनि मैले यो गरेको छु ।
