Ezekiel 15

1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,

上主的話傳給我說：「

2 “Son of man, What is the vine-tree more than any tree? The vine-branch that has been, Among trees of the forest?

人子，樹林中這棵葡萄樹，到底有什麼超越其他一切樹木之處﹖

3 Is wood taken from it to use for work? Do they take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it?

豈能取它的木材製造用具，或者能取出它一根枝條，在上面懸掛器具﹖

4 Behold, it has been given to the fire for fuel, The fire has eaten its two ends, And its midst has been scorched! Is it profitable for work?

只有投入火中焚燒；火焚燒了它的兩端，中間也在焚燒；它還能有什麼用途﹖

5 Behold, in its being perfect it is not used for work, How much less when fire has eaten of it, And it is scorched, Has it been used yet for work?”

當它完整時，還不能作什麼用具，何況經火燃燒焚化之後，豈不是更不能製造什麼用具﹖

6 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: “As the vine-tree among trees of the forest, That I have given to the fire for fuel, So I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

為此，吾主上主這樣說：我怎樣把樹林中的葡萄樹投入火中焚燒，也必怎樣對待耶路撒冷的居民。

7 And I have set My face against them, They have gone forth from the fire, And the fire consumes them, And you have known that I [am] YHWH, In My setting My face against them.

我要翻臉打擊他們：他們雖從火中逃出來，仍要為火焚燒。當我翻臉打擊他們時，他們必承認我是上主。

8 And I have made the land a desolation, Because they have committed a trespass,” A declaration of Lord YHWH!

因為他們背信違約，我必使那地方變為荒野──吾主上主的斷語。」
