Ezekiel 14
1 And men from [the] elderly of Israel come to me, and sit before me.
Und es kamen Männer von den Ältesten Israels zu mir, und sie setzten sich vor mir nieder.
2 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
3 “Son of man, these men have caused their idols to go up on their heart, and they have put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their faces; am I inquired of at all by them?
Menschensohn, diese Männer haben ihre Götzen in ihrem Herzen aufkommen lassen und den Anstoß zu ihrer Missetat vor ihr Angesicht gestellt; sollte ich mich wohl von ihnen befragen lassen?
4 Therefore, speak with them, and you have said to them, Thus said Lord YHWH: Everyone of the house of Israel who causes his idols to go up to his heart, and sets the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and has gone to the prophet—I, YHWH, have given an answer to him for this, for the abundance of his idols,
Darum rede mit ihnen und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Jedermann aus dem Hause Israel, der seine Götzen in seinem Herzen aufkommen läßt und den Anstoß zu seiner Missetat vor sein Angesicht stellt, und zu dem Propheten kommt ich, Jehova, werde ihm demgemäß antworten, gemäß der Menge seiner Götzen:
5 in order to catch the house of Israel by their heart, in that they have become estranged from off Me by their idols—all of them.
damit ich das Haus Israel an seinem Herzen fasse, weil sie allesamt durch ihre Götzen von mir abgewichen sind. -
6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus said Lord YHWH: Turn back, indeed, turn back from your idols, and turn back your faces from all your abominations,
Darum sprich zum Hause Israel: So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Kehret um, und wendet euch ab von euren Götzen, und wendet von allen euren Greueln euer Angesicht ab!
7 for everyone of the house of Israel, and of the sojourners who sojourn in Israel, who is separated from after Me, and causes his idols to go up to his heart, and sets the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and has come to the prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I, YHWH, have answered him for Myself;
Denn jedermann aus dem Hause Israel und von den Fremdlingen, die in Israel weilen, welcher sich von mir trennt und seine Götzen in seinem Herzen aufkommen läßt und den Anstoß zu seiner Missetat vor sein Angesicht stellt, und zu dem Propheten kommt, um mich für sich zu befragen ich, Jehova, werde ihm in meiner Weise antworten.
8 and I have set My face against that man, and made him for a sign, and for allegories, and I have cut him off from the midst of My people, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.
Und ich werde mein Angesicht wider selbigen Mann richten, und werde ihn zu einem Denkzeichen und zu Sprichwörtern machen; und ich werde ihn ausrotten aus der Mitte meines Volkes. Und ihr werdet wissen, daß ich Jehova bin. -
9 And the prophet, when he is enticed, and has spoken a word—I, YHWH, have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel.
Wenn aber der Prophet sich bereden läßt und ein Wort redet, so habe ich, Jehova, diesen Propheten beredet; und ich werde meine Hand wider ihn ausstrecken und ihn aus der Mitte meines Volkes Israel vertilgen.
10 And they have borne their iniquity: as the iniquity of the inquirer, so is the iniquity of the prophet;
Und so sollen sie ihre Schuld tragen; wie die Schuld des Fragenden, also wird die Schuld des Propheten sein:
11 so that the house of Israel does not wander from after Me anymore, nor are they defiled with all their transgressions anymore, and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God—a declaration of Lord YHWH.”
damit das Haus Israel nicht mehr von mir abirre und sie sich nicht mehr durch alle ihre Übertretungen verunreinigen; und sie werden mein Volk, und ich werde ihr Gott sein, spricht der Herr, Jehova.
12 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
13 “Son of man, when the land sins against Me to commit a trespass, and I have stretched out My hand against it, and broken the staff of bread for it, and sent famine into it, and cut off man and beast from it—
Menschensohn, wenn ein Land gegen mich sündigt, indem es Treulosigkeit begeht, und ich meine Hand wider dasselbe ausstrecke, und ihm den Stab des Brotes zerbreche und Hunger darein sende, und Menschen und Vieh darin ausrotte,
14 and [despite] these three men [that] have been in its midst: Noah, Daniel, and Job—they [only] deliver their own soul by their righteousness,” a declaration of Lord YHWH.
und diese drei Männer wären in demselben: Noah, Daniel und Hiob, sie würden durch ihre Gerechtigkeit nur ihre eigene Seele erretten, spricht der Herr, Jehova. -
15 “If I cause an evil beast to pass through the land, and it has bereaved, and it has been a desolation, without any passing through because of the beast—
Wenn ich böse Tiere in das Land bringe, damit sie es entvölkern und es eine Wüste werde, so daß wegen der Tiere niemand hindurchzieht:
16 [despite] these three men in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they deliver neither sons nor daughters; they alone are delivered, and the land is a desolation.
Wären diese drei Männer in demselben, so wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, Jehova, sie würden weder Söhne noch Töchter erretten können; sie allein würden errettet, das Land aber würde eine Wüste werden. -
17 Or [if] I bring a sword in against that land, and I have said: Sword, pass over through the land, and I have cut off man and beast from it—
Oder wenn ich das Schwert über selbiges Land bringe und spreche: Schwert, fahre durch das Land! und Menschen und Vieh darin ausrotte,
18 and [despite] these three men in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they do not deliver sons and daughters, for they alone are delivered.
und diese drei Männer wären in demselben: So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, Jehova, sie würden weder Söhne noch Töchter erretten können; sondern sie allein würden errettet werden. -
19 Or [if] I send pestilence to that land, and I have poured out My fury against it in blood, to cut off man and beast from it—
Oder wenn ich die Pest in selbiges Land sende, und meinen Grimm in Blut über dasselbe ausgieße, um Menschen und Vieh darin auszurotten,
20 and [despite] Noah, Daniel, and Job, in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they deliver neither son nor daughter; they, by their righteousness, [only] deliver their own soul.”
und Noah, Daniel und Hiob wären in demselben: So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, Jehova, sie würden weder Sohn noch Tochter erretten können; sie würden durch ihre Gerechtigkeit nur ihre eigene Seele erretten.
21 For thus said Lord YHWH: “Although My four severe judgments—sword, and famine, and wild beast, and pestilence—I have sent to Jerusalem, to cut off man and beast from it,
Denn so spricht der Herr, Jehova: Wieviel mehr, wenn ich meine vier bösen Gerichte, Schwert und Hunger und böse Tiere und die Pest, gegen Jerusalem entsenden werde, um Menschen und Vieh darin auszurotten!
22 yet, behold, there has been left an escape in it, who are brought forth, sons and daughters, behold, they are coming forth to you, and you have seen their way, and their doings, and have been comforted concerning the calamity that I have brought in against Jerusalem, all that which I have brought in against it.
Doch siehe, Entronnene sollen darin übrigbleiben, die herausgeführt werden, Söhne und Töchter; siehe, sie werden zu euch hinausziehen, und ihr werdet ihren Weg und ihre Handlungen sehen; und ihr werdet euch trösten über das Unglück, welches ich über Jerusalem gebracht, alles, was ich über dasselbe gebracht habe.
23 And they have comforted you, for you see their way and their doings, and you have known that I have not done all that which I have done in her for nothing,” a declaration of Lord YHWH.
Und sie werden euch trösten, wenn ihr ihren Weg und ihre Handlungen sehen werdet; und ihr werdet erkennen, daß ich nicht ohne Ursache alles getan habe, was ich an ihm getan, spricht der Herr, Jehova.
