Ezekiel 14
1 And men from [the] elderly of Israel come to me, and sit before me.
ইস্রায়েলের কয়েকজন প্রাচীন আমার কাছে এসে আমার সামনে বসলেন।
2 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
তখন সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,
3 “Son of man, these men have caused their idols to go up on their heart, and they have put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their faces; am I inquired of at all by them?
“হে মানবসন্তান, এই লোকেরা তাদের অন্তরের মধ্যে প্রতিমা স্থাপন করে নিজেদের সামনে মন্দ প্রতিবন্ধক রেখেছে। আমি কি তাদের কখনও আমার কাছে অনুসন্ধান করতে দেব?
4 Therefore, speak with them, and you have said to them, Thus said Lord YHWH: Everyone of the house of Israel who causes his idols to go up to his heart, and sets the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and has gone to the prophet—I, YHWH, have given an answer to him for this, for the abundance of his idols,
অতএব তুমি তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, যখন কোনও ইস্রায়েলী তার অন্তরের মধ্যে প্রতিমা স্থাপন করে নিজেদের সামনে মন্দ প্রতিবন্ধক রাখে এবং ভাববাদীর কাছে যায়, আমি সদাপ্রভু নিজেই তার অনেক প্রতিমাপূজা অনুসারে তাকে উত্তর দেব।
5 in order to catch the house of Israel by their heart, in that they have become estranged from off Me by their idols—all of them.
ইস্রায়েলীদের অন্তর আবার জয় করার জন্যই আমি এটা করব, কারণ তারা সবাই তাদের প্রতিমাগুলির জন্য আমাকে ত্যাগ করেছে।’
6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus said Lord YHWH: Turn back, indeed, turn back from your idols, and turn back your faces from all your abominations,
“অতএব ইস্রায়েল কুলকে তুমি বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, তোমরা মন ফিরাও! তোমাদের প্রতিমাগুলি থেকে ফেরো এবং সকল ঘৃণ্য কাজ ত্যাগ করো!
7 for everyone of the house of Israel, and of the sojourners who sojourn in Israel, who is separated from after Me, and causes his idols to go up to his heart, and sets the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and has come to the prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I, YHWH, have answered him for Myself;
“‘কোনও ইস্রায়েলী কিংবা ইস্রায়েল দেশে বাসকারী কোনও বিদেশি যদি আমার কাছ থেকে আলাদা হয়ে যায় এবং তার অন্তরের মধ্যে প্রতিমা স্থাপন করে নিজেদের সামনে মন্দ প্রতিবন্ধক রাখে এবং আমার কাছে জিজ্ঞাসা করার জন্য ভাববাদীর কাছে যায়, আমি সদাপ্রভু নিজেই তাকে উত্তর দেব।
8 and I have set My face against that man, and made him for a sign, and for allegories, and I have cut him off from the midst of My people, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.
আমি সেই লোকের বিপক্ষে দাঁড়াব এবং তাকে একটি দৃষ্টান্ত ও একটি চলতি কথার মতো করব। আমার লোকদের মধ্য থেকে আমি তাকে ছেঁটে ফেলব। তখন তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।
9 And the prophet, when he is enticed, and has spoken a word—I, YHWH, have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel.
“‘আর যে ভাববাদী প্ররোচিত হয়ে ভাববাণী বলে, আমি, সদাপ্রভুই সেই ভাববাদীকে প্ররোচিত করেছি, এবং আমি আমার হাত তার বিরুদ্ধে বাড়াব এবং আমার লোক ইস্রায়েলীদের মধ্য থেকে তাকে ধ্বংস করব।
10 And they have borne their iniquity: as the iniquity of the inquirer, so is the iniquity of the prophet;
তারা তাদের অন্যায়ের শাস্তি পাবে—সেই ভাববাদী এবং যে তার সঙ্গে পরামর্শ করবে সেও দোষী হবে।
11 so that the house of Israel does not wander from after Me anymore, nor are they defiled with all their transgressions anymore, and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God—a declaration of Lord YHWH.”
তখন ইস্রায়েল কুল আর আমার কাছ থেকে বিপথে যাবে না, এবং তাদের সব পাপ দিয়ে নিজেদের আর অশুচি করবে না। তারা আমার লোক হবে এবং আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।’”
12 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,
13 “Son of man, when the land sins against Me to commit a trespass, and I have stretched out My hand against it, and broken the staff of bread for it, and sent famine into it, and cut off man and beast from it—
“হে মানবসন্তান, যদি কোনও দেশ আমার প্রতি অবিশ্বস্ত হয়ে পাপ করে আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে হাত বিস্তার করে তাদের খাবারের যোগান বন্ধ করে দিই এবং দুর্ভিক্ষ পাঠিয়ে সেখানকার মানুষ ও তাদের পশুদের মেরে ফেলি,
14 and [despite] these three men [that] have been in its midst: Noah, Daniel, and Job—they [only] deliver their own soul by their righteousness,” a declaration of Lord YHWH.
এমনকি এই তিনজন লোক—নোহ, দানিয়েল ও ইয়োব—যদি সেখানে থাকত, তারা তাদের ধার্মিকতার জন্য কেবল নিজেদের রক্ষা করতে পারত, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
15 “If I cause an evil beast to pass through the land, and it has bereaved, and it has been a desolation, without any passing through because of the beast—
“আমি যদি দেশে বুনো পশু পাঠাই আর তারা লোকদের নিঃসন্তান করে এবং দেশকে জনশূন্য করে যেন সেই পশুদের ভয়ে কেউ দেশের মধ্যে দিয়ে যাতায়াত না করতে পারে,
16 [despite] these three men in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they deliver neither sons nor daughters; they alone are delivered, and the land is a desolation.
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য, যদি তিনজন লোক সেখানে থাকত, তারা তাদের নিজেদের ছেলে অথবা মেয়েদেরও রক্ষা করতে পারত না। তারা শুধু নিজেদের বাঁচাতে পারত, কিন্তু দেশ জনশূন্য হত।
17 Or [if] I bring a sword in against that land, and I have said: Sword, pass over through the land, and I have cut off man and beast from it—
“অথবা আমি যদি সেই দেশের বিরুদ্ধে তরোয়াল এনে বলি, ‘দেশের মধ্যে দিয়ে তরোয়াল যাক,’ এবং আমি সেখানকার মানুষ ও তাদের পশুদের মেরে ফেলি,
18 and [despite] these three men in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they do not deliver sons and daughters, for they alone are delivered.
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য, যদি তিনজন লোক সেখানে থাকত, তারা তাদের নিজেদের ছেলে অথবা মেয়েদেরও রক্ষা করতে পারত না। তারা শুধু নিজেদের বাঁচাতে পারত।
19 Or [if] I send pestilence to that land, and I have poured out My fury against it in blood, to cut off man and beast from it—
“অথবা আমি যদি দেশের মধ্যে মহামারি পাঠাই এবং সেখানকার মানুষ ও তাদের পশুদের মেরে ফেলার জন্য আমার ক্রোধ ঢেলে রক্ত বহাই,
20 and [despite] Noah, Daniel, and Job, in its midst—[as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “they deliver neither son nor daughter; they, by their righteousness, [only] deliver their own soul.”
সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য, এমনকি যদি সেখানে নোহ, দানিয়েল ও ইয়োব থাকত, তারা তাদের ছেলে অথবা মেয়েদেরও রক্ষা করতে পারত না। তারা তাদের ধার্মিকতার জন্য কেবল নিজেদের রক্ষা করতে পারত।
21 For thus said Lord YHWH: “Although My four severe judgments—sword, and famine, and wild beast, and pestilence—I have sent to Jerusalem, to cut off man and beast from it,
“কারণ সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন এমন যদি হয় তবে আমি মানুষ ও পশুদের মেরে ফেলার জন্য জেরুশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে আমার চারটে ভয়ংকর শাস্তি পাঠাই—তরোয়াল ও দুর্ভিক্ষ ও বুনো পশু ও মহামারি!
22 yet, behold, there has been left an escape in it, who are brought forth, sons and daughters, behold, they are coming forth to you, and you have seen their way, and their doings, and have been comforted concerning the calamity that I have brought in against Jerusalem, all that which I have brought in against it.
তবুও সেখানকার কয়েকজন বেঁচে যাবে—ছেলে ও মেয়ে যাদের সেখান থাকে বের করে আনা হবে। তারা তোমাদের কাছে আসবে, এবং যখন তোমরা তাদের কাজ ও আচরণ দেখবে, জেরুশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে যে বিপর্যয় আমি নিয়ে এসেছি সে বিষয় তোমরা সান্ত্বনা পাবে—প্রত্যেক বিপর্যয় যা আমি তার উপরে নিয়ে এসেছি।
23 And they have comforted you, for you see their way and their doings, and you have known that I have not done all that which I have done in her for nothing,” a declaration of Lord YHWH.
তাদের কাজ ও আচরণ দেখে তোমরা সান্ত্বনা পাবে, কারণ তোমরা জানতে পারবে যে অকারণে আমি কিছুই করিনি, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।”
