Ezekiel 11
1 And [the] Spirit lifts me up, and it brings me to the east gate of the house of YHWH, that is facing the east, and behold, at the opening of the gate [are] twenty-five men, and I see in their midst Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, heads of the people.
Me levantó el Espíritu y me llevó a la puerta de la Casa de Yavé que mira hacia el oriente. Allí junto a la puerta había 25 varones entre los cuales vi a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, magistrados del pueblo.
2 And He says to me, “Son of man, these [are] the men who are devising iniquity, and who are giving evil counsel in this city;
Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, éstos son los que maquinan perversidades y dan malos consejos en esta ciudad.
3 who are saying, It [is] not near—to build houses, it [is] the pot, and we [are] the flesh.
Ellos dicen: No es tiempo ahora de edificar casas. Esta ciudada es la olla y nosotros, la carne.
4 Therefore prophesy concerning them, prophesy, son of man.”
Por tanto profetiza contra ellos. Hijo de hombre, profetiza.
5 And [the] Spirit of YHWH falls on me, and He says to me, “Say, Thus said YHWH: You have said correctly, O house of Israel, And I have known the steps of your spirit.
El Espíritu de Yavé vino sobre mí y me dijo: Habla: Yavé dice. Oh Casa de Israel, ustedes hablaron así. Pero Yo sé las cosas que surgen en su mente.
6 You multiplied your wounded in this city, And filled its out-places with the wounded.
Ustedes multiplicaron sus asesinatos en esta ciudad y llenaron sus calles de cadáveres.
7 Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Your wounded whom you placed in its midst, They [are] the flesh, and it [is] the pot, And He has brought you out from its midst.
Por tanto ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Los asesinados que ustedes dejaron en medio de ella son la carne, y ella es la olla. Pero Yo los sacaré de ella.
8 You have feared a sword, And I bring in a sword against you, A declaration of Lord YHWH.
Temen la espada, pues la espada traeré sobre ustedes, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.
9 And I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done judgments among you.
Los sacaré a ustedes de la ciudad. Los entregaré en manos de extranjeros y ejecutaré juicios contra ustedes.
10 You fall by the sword, I judge you on the border of Israel, And you have known that I [am] YHWH.
Caerán por la espada. En los límites de Israel los juzgaré. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.
11 It is not for a pot for you, Nor are you for flesh in its midst, I judge you at the border of Israel.
Esta ciudad no será su olla, ni ustedes serán la carne de ella. Yo los juzgaré en la frontera de Israel.
12 And you have known that I [am] YHWH, For you have not walked in My statutes, And you have not done My judgments, And according to the judgments of the nations Who are around you, you have done!”
Así sabrán que Yo soy Yavé. Porque no anduvieron en mis Estatutos ni ejecutaron mis Ordenanzas, sino imitaron las costumbres de las naciones que los rodean.
13 And it comes to pass, at my prophesying, that Pelatiah son of Benaiah is dying, and I fall on my face, and cry—a loud voice—and say, “Aah! Lord YHWH, You are making an end of the remnant of Israel.”
Aconteció que mientras yo profetizaba, murió aquel Pelatías, hijo de Benaía. Entonces caí sobre mi rostro y clamé a gran voz: ¡Ay, ʼAdonay Yavé! ¿Destruirás completamente el remanente de Israel?
14 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
Y la Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:
15 “Son of man, your brothers, your brothers, men of your family, and all the house of Israel—all of it—[are] they to whom inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Keep far off from YHWH;
Hijo de hombre, los habitantes de Jerusalén dicen de tus hermanos y tus familiares, de tus compañeros de exilio y de toda la Casa de Israel: Aléjense de Yavé. A nosotros nos es dada en posesión la tierra.
16 it [is] ours, the land has been given for an inheritance; therefore say, Thus said Lord YHWH: Because I put them far off among nations, And because I scattered them through lands, I am also for a little sanctuary to them, In lands to where they have gone in.
Por tanto dí: ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Aunque Yo los eché lejos entre las naciones, y aunque los dispersé lejos entre los pueblos, sin embargo, soy como un pequeño Santuario para ellos en las naciones adonde fueron.
17 Therefore say, Thus said Lord YHWH: And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which you have been scattered, And I have given the ground of Israel to you.
Por tanto dí: ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Yo los recogeré de los pueblos y los reuniré de las naciones en las cuales fueron esparcidos. Les daré la tierra de Israel.
18 And they have gone in there, And turned aside all its detestable things, And all its abominations—out of it.
Cuando ellos regresen allá, quitarán de ella todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus repugnancias.
19 And I have given one heart to them, And I give a new spirit in your midst, And I have turned the heart of stone out of their flesh, And I have given a heart of flesh to them.
Les daré un corazón y un espíritu nuevo. Quitaré de su carne el corazón de piedra. Les daré un corazón de carne
20 So that they walk in My statutes, And keep My judgments, and have done them, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for God.
para que anden según mis Ordenanzas, guarden mis Estatutos y los cumplan, y me sean pueblo, y Yo les sea ʼElohim.
21 As for those whose heart is going to the heart Of their detestable things and their abominations, I have put their way on their head, A declaration of Lord YHWH.”
Pero con respecto a aquellos cuyo corazón va tras sus cosas detestables y sus repugnancias, Yo traigo sus caminos sobre sus propias cabezas, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.
22 And the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels [are] alongside them, and the glory of the God of Israel [is] over them above.
Los querubines alzaron sus alas, y las ruedas tras ellos. Y la gloria del ʼElohim de Israel estaba sobre ellos.
23 And the glory of YHWH goes up from off the midst of the city, and stands on the mountain, that [is] on the east of the city.
La gloria de Yavé se elevó de en medio de la ciudad y se posó sobre la montaña que está al este de la ciudad.
24 And [the] Spirit has lifted me up, and brings me to Chaldea, to the expulsion, in a vision, by [the] Spirit of God, and the vision that I have seen goes up from off me;
Y el Espíritu me levantó y me devolvió en visión del Espíritu a la tierra de los caldeos, a los cautivos. De este modo la visión que tuve se fue de mí.
25 and I speak to the expulsion all the matters of YHWH that He has showed me.
Entonces conté a los cautivos todas las cosas que Yavé me había mostrado.
