Exodus 9
1 And YHWH says to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, and you have spoken to him, Thus said YHWH, God of the Hebrews: Send My people away, and they serve Me,
Então o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Entra a Faraó, e dize-lhe: o SENHOR, o Deus dos hebreus, diz assim: Deixa ir a meu povo, para que me sirvam;
2 for if you are refusing to send [them] away, and are still keeping hold on them,
Porque se não o queres deixar ir, e os detiverdes ainda,
3 behold, the hand of YHWH is on your livestock which [are] in the field, on horses, on donkeys, on camels, on herd, and on flock—a very grievous pestilence.
Eis que a mão do SENHOR será sobre teus gados que estão no campo, cavalos, asnos, camelos, vacas e ovelhas, com pestilência gravíssima:
4 And YHWH has separated between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and there does not die a thing of all the sons of Israel;
E o SENHOR fará separação entre os gados de Israel e os do Egito, de modo que nada morra de todo o dos filhos de Israel.
5 and YHWH sets an appointed time, saying, Tomorrow YHWH does this thing in the land.”
E o SENHOR assinalou tempo, dizendo: Amanhã fará o SENHOR esta coisa na terra.
6 And YHWH does this thing on the next day, and all the livestock of Egypt die, and of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one has died;
E o dia seguinte o SENHOR fez aquilo, e morreu todo o gado do Egito; mas do gado dos filhos de Israel não morreu um.
7 and Pharaoh sends, and behold, not even one of the livestock of Israel has died, and the heart of Pharaoh is hard, and he has not sent the people away.
Então Faraó enviou, e eis que do gado dos filhos de Israel não havia um morto sequer. Mas o coração de Faraó se agravou, e não deixou ir ao povo.
8 And YHWH says to Moses and to Aaron, “Take for yourselves the fullness of your handfuls—soot of a furnace, and Moses has sprinkled it toward the heavens, before the eyes of Pharaoh,
E o SENHOR disse a Moisés e a Arão: Tomai punhados de cinza de um forno, e espalha-a Moisés até o céu diante de Faraó:
9 and it has become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and it has become on man and on livestock a boil breaking forth [with] blisters in all the land of Egypt.”
E virá a ser pó sobre toda a terra do Egito, o qual originará sarna que cause feridas com ulcerações nos homens e nos animais, por toda a terra do Egito.
10 And they take the soot of the furnace, and stand before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkles it toward the heavens, and it is a boil [with] blisters breaking forth on man and on beast;
E tomaram a cinza do forno, e puseram-se diante de Faraó, e espalhou-a Moisés até o céu; e veio uma sarna que causava feridas com ulcerações tanto nos homens como nos animais.
11 and the enchanters have not been able to stand before Moses because of the boil, for the boil has been on the enchanters, and on all the Egyptians.
E os magos não podiam estar diante de Moisés por causa das feridas, porque houve sarna nos magos e em todos os egípcios.
12 And YHWH strengthens the heart of Pharaoh, and he has not listened to them, as YHWH has spoken to Moses.
E o SENHOR endureceu o coração de Faraó, e não os ouviu; como o SENHOR o disse a Moisés.
13 And YHWH says to Moses, “Rise early in the morning, and station yourself before Pharaoh, and you have said to him, Thus said YHWH, God of the Hebrews: Send My people away, and they serve Me,
Então o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Levanta-te de manhã, e põe-te diante de Faraó, e dize-lhe: o SENHOR, o Deus dos hebreus, disse assim: Deixa ir a meu povo, para que me sirva.
14 for at this time I am sending all My plagues to your heart, and on your servants, and on your people, so that you know that there is none like Me in all the earth,
Porque eu enviarei esta vez todas minhas pragas a teu coração, sobre teus servos, e sobre teu povo, para que entendas que não há outro como eu em toda a terra.
15 for now I have put forth My hand, and I strike you, and your people, with pestilence, and you are hidden from the earth.
Porque agora eu estenderei minha mão para ferir a ti e a teu povo de pestilência, e serás tirado da terra.
16 And yet for this I have caused you to stand, so as to show you My power, and for the sake of declaring My Name in all the earth;
E à verdade eu te pus para declarar em ti meu poder, e que meu Nome seja contado em toda a terra.
17 still you are exalting yourself against My people—so as not to send them away;
Todavia te exaltas tu contra meu povo, para não deixá-los ir?
18 behold, I am raining very grievous hail about [this] time tomorrow, such as has not been in Egypt from the day of its founding and until now.
Eis que amanhã a estas horas eu farei chover granizo muito grave, qual nunca foi em Egito, desde o dia que se fundou até agora.
19 And now, send, strengthen your livestock and all that you have in the field; every man and beast which is found in the field, and is not gathered into the house—the hail has come down on them, and they have died.”
Envia, pois, a recolher teu gado, e tudo o que tens no campo; porque todo homem ou animal que se achar no campo, e não for recolhido a casa, o granizo descerá sobre ele, e morrerá.
20 He who is fearing the word of YHWH among the servants of Pharaoh has caused his servants and his livestock to flee to the houses;
Dos servos de Faraó o que temeu a palavra do SENHOR, fez fugir seus criados e seu gado a casa:
21 and he who has not set his heart to the word of YHWH leaves his servants and his livestock in the field.
Mas o que não pôs em seu coração a palavra do SENHOR, deixou seus criados e seus gados no campo.
22 And YHWH says to Moses, “Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, and there is hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.”
E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Estende a tua mão até o céu, para que venha granizo em toda a terra do Egito sobre os homens, e sobre os animais, e sobre toda a erva do campo na terra do Egito.
23 And Moses stretches out his rod toward the heavens, and YHWH has given voices and hail, and fire goes toward the earth, and YHWH rains hail on the land of Egypt,
E Moisés estendeu sua vara até o céu, e o SENHOR fez trovejar e cair granizo, e o fogo corria pela terra; e choveu o SENHOR granizo sobre a terra do Egito.
24 and there is hail, and fire catching itself in the midst of the hail, very grievous, such as has not been in all the land of Egypt since it has become a nation.
Houve, pois, granizo, e fogo misturado com o granizo, tão grande, qual nunca houve em toda a terra do Egito desde que foi habitada.
25 And the hail strikes all that [is] in the field in all the land of Egypt, from man even to beast, and the hail has struck every herb of the field, and it has broken every tree of the field;
E aquele granizo feriu em toda a terra do Egito todo o que estava no campo, tanto homens como animais; o granizo também feriu toda erva do campo, e quebrou os galhos de todas as árvores daquela terra.
26 only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel [are], there has been no hail.
Somente na terra de Gósen, onde os filhos de Israel estavam, não houve granizo.
27 And Pharaoh sends, and calls for Moses and for Aaron, and says to them, “I have sinned this time—YHWH [is] the righteous, and I and my people [are] the wicked,
Então Faraó mandou chamar a Moisés e a Arão, e lhes disse: Pequei esta vez: o SENHOR é justo, e eu e meu povo ímpios.
28 make supplication to YHWH, and plead that there be no voices of God and hail, and I send you away, and you do not add to remain.”
Orai ao SENHOR: e cessem os trovões de Deus e o granizo; e eu vos deixarei ir, e não vos detereis mais.
29 And Moses says to him, “At my going out of the city, I spread my palms to YHWH—the voices cease, and there is no more hail, so that you know that the earth [is] YHWH’s;
E respondeu-lhe Moisés: Em saindo eu da cidade estenderei minhas mãos ao SENHOR, e os trovões cessarão, e não haverá mais granizo; para que saibas que do SENHOR é a terra.
30 but you and your servants—I have known that you are not yet afraid of the face of YHWH God.”
Mas eu sei que nem tu nem teus servos temereis todavia a presença do Deus o SENHOR.
31 And the flax and the barley have been struck, for the barley [is] budding, and the flax forming flowers,
O linho, pois, e a cevada foram feridos; porque a cevada estava já espigada, e o linho em flor.
32 and the wheat and the rye have not been struck, for they are late.
Mas o trigo e o centeio não foram feridos; porque eram tardios.
33 And Moses goes out from Pharaoh, [from] the city, and spreads his hands to YHWH, and the voices and the hail cease, and rain has not been poured out to the earth;
E saído Moisés da presença de Faraó da cidade, estendeu suas mãos ao SENHOR, e cessaram os trovões e o granizo; e a chuva não caiu mais sobre a terra.
34 and Pharaoh sees that the rain has ceased, and the hail and the voices, and he continues to sin, and hardens his heart, he and his servants;
E vendo Faraó que a chuva havia cessado e o granizo e os trovões, perseverou em pecar, e agravou seu coração, ele e seus servos.
35 and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he has not sent the sons of Israel away, as YHWH has spoken by the hand of Moses.
E o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não deixou ir aos filhos de Israel; como o SENHOR o havia dito por meio de Moisés.
