Exodus 40
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Og Herren talte til Moses og sa:
2 “On the first day of the month, in the first month, you raise up the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
I den første måned, på den første dag i måneden, skal du reise tabernaklet, sammenkomstens telt.
3 and have set the Ark of the Testimony [in] there, and have covered over the Ark with the veil,
Der skal du sette vidnesbyrdets ark og dekke for arken med forhenget.
4 and have brought in the table, and set its arrangement in order, and have brought in the lampstand, and caused its lamps to go up.
Så skal du sette inn bordet, og på det skal du legge alt som skal ligge på det; og du skal bære inn lysestaken og sette op lampene på den.
5 And you have put the golden altar for incense before the Ark of the Testimony, and have put the covering of the opening to the Dwelling Place,
Og du skal sette det gullklædde røkoffer-alter foran vidnesbyrdets ark og henge op teppet for inngangen til tabernaklet.
6 and have put the altar of the burnt-offering before the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
Brennoffer-alteret skal du sette foran inngangen til tabernaklet, sammenkomstens telt.
7 and have put the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and have put water [in] there.
Og tvettekaret skal du sette mellem sammenkomstens telt og alteret og ha vann i det.
8 And you have set the court all around, and have placed the covering of the gate of the court,
Og så skal du sette op forgården rundt omkring og henge op teppet for porten til forgården.
9 and have taken the anointing oil, and anointed the Dwelling Place, and all that [is] in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it has been holy;
Derefter skal du ta salvingsoljen og salve tabernaklet og alt som er i det, og du skal hellige tabernaklet og alt som hører det til, så det blir hellig.
10 and you have anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar has been most holy;
Og du skal salve brennofferalteret og alt som hører det til, og du skal hellige alteret, og alteret skal være høihellig.
11 and you have anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it.
Og du skal salve tvettekaret og dets fotstykke og hellige det.
12 And you have brought Aaron and his sons near to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and have bathed them with water;
Så skal du føre Aron og hans sønner frem til inngangen til sammenkomstens telt Og tvette dem med vann.
13 and you have clothed Aaron with the holy garments, and anointed him, and sanctified him, and he has acted as priest to Me.
Og du skal klæ Aron i de hellige klær og salve ham og hellige ham, og så skal han tjene mig som prest.
14 And you bring his sons near, and have clothed them with coats,
Og hans sønner skal du også føre frem og klæ dem i underkjortlene.
15 and anointed them as you have anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing has been to them for a continuous priesthood throughout their generations.”
Og du skal salve dem, likesom du salvet deres far, og så skal de tjene mig som prester; og denne salving skal gi dem retten til prestedømmet for evig tid, slekt efter slekt.
16 And Moses does according to all that YHWH has commanded him; so he has done.
Og Moses gjorde så; han gjorde i ett og alt således som Herren befalte ham.
17 And it comes to pass, in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, the Dwelling Place has been raised up;
I den første måned i det annet år, på den første dag i måneden, var det tabernaklet blev reist.
18 and Moses raises up the Dwelling Place, and sets its sockets, and places its boards, and places its bars, and raises its pillars,
Da reiste Moses tabernaklet: Han satte ned fotstykkene og stilte op plankene, la tverrstengene inn og reiste stolpene.
19 and spreads the tent over the Dwelling Place, and puts the covering of the tent on it above, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Så bredte han ut dekket over tabernaklet og la varetaket ovenpå, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses.
20 And he takes and puts the Testimony into the Ark, and sets the poles on the Ark, and puts the propitiatory covering on the Ark above;
Derefter tok han og la vidnesbyrdet i arken og satte stengene i og satte nådestolen ovenpå arken.
21 and brings the Ark into the Dwelling Place, and places the veil of the covering, and covers over the Ark of the Testimony, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Og arken satte han inn i tabernaklet og hengte op det dekkende forheng foran vidnesbyrdets ark, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses.
22 And he puts the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the Dwelling Place northward, at the outside of the veil,
Så satte han bordet i sammenkomstens telt ved den nordre vegg av tabernaklet utenfor forhenget
23 and sets in order the arrangement of bread on it, before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
og la brødene i rad på det for Herrens åsyn, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses
24 And he puts the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the Dwelling Place southward,
Lysestaken satte han i sammenkomstens telt midt imot bordet ved den søndre vegg av tabernaklet
25 and causes the lamps to go up before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
og satte op lampene for Herrens åsyn, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses
26 And he sets the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting, before the veil,
Så satte han det gullklædde alter i sammenkomstens telt foran forhenget
27 and makes incense on it—spice-incense—as YHWH has commanded Moses.
og brente velluktende røkelse på det, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses
28 And he sets the covering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place,
Derefter hengte han op teppet for inngangen til tabernaklet.
29 and he has set the altar of the burnt-offering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting, and causes the burnt-offering to go up on it, and the present, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Brennoffer-alteret satte han ved inngangen til tabernaklet, sammenkomstens telt, og ofret brennoffer og matoffer på det, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses
30 And he puts the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and puts water [in] there for washing,
Tvettekaret satte han mellem sammenkomstens telt og alteret og hadde vann i det til å tvette sig med.
31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same;
Og Moses og Aron og hans sønner tvettet sine hender og sine føtter i det.
32 in their going into the Tent of Meeting, and in their drawing near to the altar, they wash, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Når de gikk inn i sammenkomstens telt, og når de trådte nær til alteret, tvettet de sig, således som Herren hadde befalt Moses.
33 And he raises up the court all around the Dwelling Place, and around the altar, and places the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completes the work.
Så reiste han op forgården omkring tabernaklet og alteret og hengte op teppet for porten til forgården. Således fullendte Moses verket.
34 And the cloud covers the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place;
Da dekket skyen sammenkomstens telt, og Herrens herlighet fylte tabernaklet.
35 and Moses has not been able to go into the Tent of Meeting, for the cloud has dwelt on it, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place.
Og Moses kunde ikke gå inn i sammenkomstens telt fordi skyen hvilte over det, og Herrens herlighet fylte tabernaklet.
36 And in the going up of the cloud from off the Dwelling Place the sons of Israel journey in all their journeys;
Og når skyen løftet sig fra tabernaklet, brøt Israels barn op; så gjorde de på alle sine tog.
37 and if the cloud does not go up then they do not journey, until the day of its going up.
Men når skyen ikke løftet sig, brøt de ikke op, men ventet til den dag den atter løftet sig.
38 For the cloud of YHWH [is] on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire is in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeys.
For Herrens sky lå over tabernaklet om dagen, og om natten lyste den som ild, for alle Israels barns øine på alle deres tog.
