Exodus 40
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
OLELO mai la hoi o Iehova ia Mose, i mai la,
2 “On the first day of the month, in the first month, you raise up the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
I ka la mua o ka malama mua, e kukulu oe i ka halelewa o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka:
3 and have set the Ark of the Testimony [in] there, and have covered over the Ark with the veil,
A e waiho oe maloko olaila i ka pahu kanawai, a e uhi i ka pahu i ka paku.
4 and have brought in the table, and set its arrangement in order, and have brought in the lampstand, and caused its lamps to go up.
A e lawe oe i ka papaaina iloko, a e hoonohonoho i na ohana maluna iho; a e lawe mai hoi i ka ipukukui manamana, a e hoa hoi i kona mau ipu aila.
5 And you have put the golden altar for incense before the Ark of the Testimony, and have put the covering of the opening to the Dwelling Place,
A e kau oe i ke kuahu gula no ka mea ala imua o ka pahu kanawai, a e kau aku i ka pale o ka puka o ka halelewa.
6 and have put the altar of the burnt-offering before the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
A e hoonoho oe i ke kuahu no ka mohaikuni imua o ka puka o ka halelewa o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka.
7 and have put the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and have put water [in] there.
A e kau oe i ka ipuanau mawaena o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, a me ke kuahu, a e ninini hoi i ka wai maloko.
8 And you have set the court all around, and have placed the covering of the gate of the court,
A e kukulu oe i ka paku kahua a pau, a e kau aku i ka pale ma ka puka o ke kahua.
9 and have taken the anointing oil, and anointed the Dwelling Place, and all that [is] in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it has been holy;
E lawe no hoi oe i ka aila poni, a e poni iho i ka halelewa, a me na mea a pau maloko, a e hoolaa ia mea, a me kona oihana a pau, a e lilo ia i mea laa.
10 and you have anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar has been most holy;

11 and you have anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it.

12 And you have brought Aaron and his sons near to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and have bathed them with water;

13 and you have clothed Aaron with the holy garments, and anointed him, and sanctified him, and he has acted as priest to Me.
A e hookomo no oe maluna o Aarona i na kahiko laa, a e poni ia ia, a e hoolaa ia ia, i lawelawe oia na'u ma ka oihana kahuna.
14 And you bring his sons near, and have clothed them with coats,

15 and anointed them as you have anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing has been to them for a continuous priesthood throughout their generations.”

16 And Moses does according to all that YHWH has commanded him; so he has done.
Pela o Mose i hana'i: e like me na mea a pau a Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia ia, pela no ia i hana'i.
17 And it comes to pass, in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, the Dwelling Place has been raised up;
A i ka malama mua o ka makahiki alua, i ka la mua o ka malama, ua kukuluia ka halelewa.
18 and Moses raises up the Dwelling Place, and sets its sockets, and places its boards, and places its bars, and raises its pillars,
A kukulu o Mose i ka halelewa, a hoopaa iho la i kona mau kumu, a kukulu hoi i kona mau papa, a hookomo ae la i kona mau auka e paa ai, a kukulu no hoi i kona mau pou.
19 and spreads the tent over the Dwelling Place, and puts the covering of the tent on it above, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A haalii ae la oia i ka halelole maluna o ka halelewa, a kau aku la i ka uhi o ka halelole maluna aku; e like me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
20 And he takes and puts the Testimony into the Ark, and sets the poles on the Ark, and puts the propitiatory covering on the Ark above;
A lawe oia, a waiho aku la i ke kanawai iloko o ka pahu, a hoonoho i ka noho aloha maluna ma ka pahu.
21 and brings the Ark into the Dwelling Place, and places the veil of the covering, and covers over the Ark of the Testimony, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A lawe ae la oia i ka pahu iloko o ka halelewa, a kau aku la maluna i ka paku e uhi ai, a uhi ae la i ka pahu kanawai; e like me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
22 And he puts the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the Dwelling Place northward, at the outside of the veil,
A waiho aku la oia i ka papaaina iloko o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, ma ka aoao akau o ka halelewa, mawaho o ka paku.
23 and sets in order the arrangement of bread on it, before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A hoonohonoho oia i ka berena maluna olaila, imua o Iehova; e like me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
24 And he puts the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the Dwelling Place southward,
A kau aku la oia i ka ipukukui manamana maloko o ka halelewa o ke anaina e ka pono ana i ka papaaina, ma ka aoao hema o ka halelewa.
25 and causes the lamps to go up before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A hoa iho la oia i na kukui imua o Iehova; e like me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
26 And he sets the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting, before the veil,
A waiho aku la oia i ke kuahu gula maloko o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, imua o ka paku.
27 and makes incense on it—spice-incense—as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A puhi iho la oia i ka mea ala maikai maluna olaila; e like me ka Iehova i kanoha mai ai ia Mose.
28 And he sets the covering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place,
A kau aku la oia i ka pale o ka puka o ka halelewa.
29 and he has set the altar of the burnt-offering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting, and causes the burnt-offering to go up on it, and the present, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A waiho aku la oia i ke kuahu o ka mohaikuni ma ka puka o ka halelewa o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, a kaumaha aku la maluna olaila i ka mohaikuni, a me ka mohaiai; e like me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
30 And he puts the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and puts water [in] there for washing,
A kau aku la oia i ka ipuanau mawaena o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, a me ke kuahu, a ninini iho la i ka wai iloko, i mea e holoi ai.
31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same;
A holoi no Mose, a me Aarona, a me kana mau keikikane i ko lakou mau lima, a me ko lakou mau wawae malaila.
32 in their going into the Tent of Meeting, and in their drawing near to the altar, they wash, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
A ia lakou i komo ai iloko o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, a ia lakou i hookokoke ai i ke kuahu, holoi no lakou; me ka Iehova i kauoha mai ai ia Mose.
33 And he raises up the court all around the Dwelling Place, and around the altar, and places the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completes the work.
A kukula no hoi oia i ka paku kahuna a puni ka halelewa a me ke kuahu, a kau aku la i ka pale o ka puka o ke kahua; pela o Mose i hoopau ai i ka hana.
34 And the cloud covers the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place;
Alaila, uhi mai la ke ao i ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, e hoopiha mai la ka nani o Iehova i ka halelewa.
35 and Moses has not been able to go into the Tent of Meeting, for the cloud has dwelt on it, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place.
Aole hiki ia Mose ke komo iloko o ka halelole o ke anaina kanaka, no ka mea, kau mau no ke ao maluna olaila, a hoopiha hoi ka nani o Iehova i ka halelewa.
36 And in the going up of the cloud from off the Dwelling Place the sons of Israel journey in all their journeys;
A i ka pii ana o ke ao mai ka halelewa aku, alaila, hele aku la na mamo a Iseraela i ko lakou hele ana a pau.
37 and if the cloud does not go up then they do not journey, until the day of its going up.
A i ole e pii aku ke ao, alaila, aole lakou i hele, a hiki i ka la i pii aku ai ia.
38 For the cloud of YHWH [is] on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire is in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeys.
No ka mea, aia no maluna o ka halelewa, ua ao la o Iehova i ke ao, a he ahi hoi maluna olaila i ka po, imua o na maka o ko ka hale a pau o ka Iseraela, i ko lakou hele ana a pau.
