Exodus 40
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
2 “On the first day of the month, in the first month, you raise up the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
" Le premier jour du premier mois, tu dresseras la Demeure, la tente de réunion.
3 and have set the Ark of the Testimony [in] there, and have covered over the Ark with the veil,
Tu y placeras l'arche du témoignage, et tu couvriras l'arche avec le voile.
4 and have brought in the table, and set its arrangement in order, and have brought in the lampstand, and caused its lamps to go up.
Tu apporteras la table et tu y disposeras ce qui doit la garnir. Tu apporteras le chandelier et tu poseras dessus ses lampes.
5 And you have put the golden altar for incense before the Ark of the Testimony, and have put the covering of the opening to the Dwelling Place,
Tu placeras l'autel d'or pour le parfum devant l'arche du témoignage, et tu mettras le voile à l'entrée de la Demeure.
6 and have put the altar of the burnt-offering before the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
Tu placeras l'autel des holocaustes devant l'entrée de la Demeure, de la tente de réunion.
7 and have put the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and have put water [in] there.
Tu placeras la cuve entre la tente de réunion et l'autel, et tu y mettras de l'eau.
8 And you have set the court all around, and have placed the covering of the gate of the court,
Tu dresseras le parvis à l'entour, et tu mettras la tenture à la porte du parvis.
9 and have taken the anointing oil, and anointed the Dwelling Place, and all that [is] in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it has been holy;
" Tu prendras l'huile d'onction, tu en oindras la Demeure et tout ce qu'elle renferme; tu la consacreras avec tous ses ustensiles, et elle sera sainte.
10 and you have anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar has been most holy;
Tu oindras l'autel des holocaustes et tous ses ustensiles; tu consacreras l'autel, et l'autel sera très saint.
11 and you have anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it.
Tu oindras la cuve avec sa base, et tu la consacreras.
12 And you have brought Aaron and his sons near to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and have bathed them with water;
" Tu feras avancer Aaron et ses fils près de l'entrée de la tente de réunion, et tu les laveras avec de l'eau.
13 and you have clothed Aaron with the holy garments, and anointed him, and sanctified him, and he has acted as priest to Me.
Puis tu revêtiras Aaron des vêtements sacrés, tu l'oindras et tu le consacreras, et il sera prêtre à mon service.
14 And you bring his sons near, and have clothed them with coats,
Tu feras approcher ses fils et, les ayant revêtus des tuniques,
15 and anointed them as you have anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing has been to them for a continuous priesthood throughout their generations.”
tu les oindras comme tu auras oint leur père, et ils seront prêtres à mon service. Cette onction leur conférera le sacerdoce à perpétuité parmi leurs descendants. "
16 And Moses does according to all that YHWH has commanded him; so he has done.
Moïse fit tout ce que Yahweh lui avait ordonné; il fit ainsi.
17 And it comes to pass, in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, the Dwelling Place has been raised up;
Le premier jour du premier mois de la seconde année, la Demeure fut dressée.
18 and Moses raises up the Dwelling Place, and sets its sockets, and places its boards, and places its bars, and raises its pillars,
Moïse dressa la Demeure; il en posa les socles, il en plaça les planches et les traverses, en dressa les colonnes.
19 and spreads the tent over the Dwelling Place, and puts the covering of the tent on it above, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Il étendit la tente sur la Demeure, et mit par-dessus la couverture de la tente, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
20 And he takes and puts the Testimony into the Ark, and sets the poles on the Ark, and puts the propitiatory covering on the Ark above;
Il prit le témoignage et le plaça dans l'arche; il mit les barres à l'arche et posa le propitiatoire au-dessus de l'arche.
21 and brings the Ark into the Dwelling Place, and places the veil of the covering, and covers over the Ark of the Testimony, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Il porta l'arche dans la Demeure; et, ayant mis le voile de séparation, il en couvrit l'arche du témoignage, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
22 And he puts the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the Dwelling Place northward, at the outside of the veil,
Il plaça la table dans la tente de réunion, au côté septentrional de la Demeure, en dehors du voile,
23 and sets in order the arrangement of bread on it, before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
et il y disposa les pains devant Yahweh, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
24 And he puts the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the Dwelling Place southward,
Il plaça le chandelier dans la tente de réunion, vis-à-vis de la table, au côté méridional de la Demeure,
25 and causes the lamps to go up before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
et il y posa les lampes devant Yahweh, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
26 And he sets the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting, before the veil,
Il plaça l'autel d'or dans la tente de réunion, devant le voile,
27 and makes incense on it—spice-incense—as YHWH has commanded Moses.
et il y fit brûler l'encens, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
28 And he sets the covering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place,
Il plaça le rideau à l'entrée de la Demeure.
29 and he has set the altar of the burnt-offering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting, and causes the burnt-offering to go up on it, and the present, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Il plaça l'autel des holocaustes à l'entrée de la Demeure, de la tente de réunion, et il y offrit l'holocauste et l'oblation, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
30 And he puts the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and puts water [in] there for washing,
Il plaça la cuve entre la tente de réunion et l'autel, et il y mit de l'eau pour les ablutions;
31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same;
Moïse, Aaron et ses fils s'y lavèrent les mains et les pieds.
32 in their going into the Tent of Meeting, and in their drawing near to the altar, they wash, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Lorsqu'ils entraient dans la tente de réunion et qu'ils s'approchaient de l'autel, ils se lavaient, comme Yahweh l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
33 And he raises up the court all around the Dwelling Place, and around the altar, and places the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completes the work.
Il dressa le parvis autour de la Demeure et de l'autel, et il mit la tenture à la porte du parvis. Ce fut ainsi que Moïse acheva cette œuvre.
34 And the cloud covers the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place;
Alors la nuée couvrit la tente de réunion, et la gloire de Yahweh remplit la Demeure.
35 and Moses has not been able to go into the Tent of Meeting, for the cloud has dwelt on it, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place.
Et Moïse ne pouvait plus entrer dans la tente de réunion, parce que la nuée restait dessus, et que la gloire de Yahweh remplissait la Demeure.
36 And in the going up of the cloud from off the Dwelling Place the sons of Israel journey in all their journeys;
Tant que durèrent leurs marches, les enfants d'Israël partaient lorsque la nuée s'élevait de dessus la Demeure;
37 and if the cloud does not go up then they do not journey, until the day of its going up.
et si la nuée ne s'élevait pas, ils ne partaient pas, jusqu'au jour où elle s'élevait.
38 For the cloud of YHWH [is] on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire is in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeys.
Car la nuée de Yahweh reposait pendant le jour sur la Demeure, et, pendant la nuit, il y avait du feu dans la nuée, aux yeux de toute la maison d'Israël, tant que durèrent leurs marches.
