Exodus 40
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
To pacoengah Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah,
2 “On the first day of the month, in the first month, you raise up the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
Kaminawk amkhuenghaih kahni im to, khrah hmaloe koek, ni tangsuek naah sah ah.
3 and have set the Ark of the Testimony [in] there, and have covered over the Ark with the veil,
Hnukung thingkhong loe, to kahni imthung ah suem ah, to thingkhong loe payang ih kahni hoiah khuk ah.
4 and have brought in the table, and set its arrangement in order, and have brought in the lampstand, and caused its lamps to go up.
A thungah caboi suem ah loe, hmuennawk boih caboi nuiah suem ah; to pacoengah hmaithawk paanghaih tung to suem ah loe, hmai to paaang ah.
5 And you have put the golden altar for incense before the Ark of the Testimony, and have put the covering of the opening to the Dwelling Place,
Hmuihoih thlaekhaih hmaicam to hnukung thingkhong hmaa ah suem ah loe, kahni im akunhaih khongkha ah payang ih kahni hoiah pakaa ah.
6 and have put the altar of the burnt-offering before the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting,
Amkhuenghaih kahni im akunhaih khongkha hmaa ah, hmai angbawnhaih hmaicam to suem ah.
7 and have put the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and have put water [in] there.
Kaminawk amkhuenghaih kahni im hoi hmaicam salakah sabae kathuk to suem ah loe, a thungah tui to lawn ah.
8 And you have set the court all around, and have placed the covering of the gate of the court,
Longhma taeng to paka boih ah loe, longhma akunhaih khongkha taengah kahni to payang ah.
9 and have taken the anointing oil, and anointed the Dwelling Place, and all that [is] in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it has been holy;
Tak bawhhaih situi to la ah loe, kahni im hoi a thungah kaom hmuennawk to nok boih ah; to ih hmuennawk to ciimsak boih ah, to tiah ni kahni im to ciim vop tih.
10 and you have anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar has been most holy;
To pacoengah hmai angbawnhaih hmaicam hoi hmuennawk to situi nok boih ah loe, hmaicam to ciimsak ah; to tiah ni kaciim koek hmaicam ah om tih.
11 and you have anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it.
Kathuk sabae hoi pahnuthaih a khok to situi nok ah loe, ciimsak ah.
12 And you have brought Aaron and his sons near to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, and have bathed them with water;
Aaron hoi a caanawk to amkhuenghaih kahni im khongkha ah caehhaih ah loe, tui amhlusak ah.
13 and you have clothed Aaron with the holy garments, and anointed him, and sanctified him, and he has acted as priest to Me.
Aaron hanah kaciim kahni to angkhuksak ah, qaima toksak thai hanah, situi to nok ah loe ciimsak ah.
14 And you bring his sons near, and have clothed them with coats,
Anih ih caanawk to angzo haih ah loe, laihaw kasawk to angkhuksak ah.
15 and anointed them as you have anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing has been to them for a continuous priesthood throughout their generations.”
Kai khaeah qaima tok a sak o thai hanah, ampa situi hoi na bawh baktih toengah, a caanawk doeh bawh ah; a caanawk dung khoek to qaima ah oh poe han ih ni nihcae to situi hoiah na bawh, tiah a naa.
16 And Moses does according to all that YHWH has commanded him; so he has done.
Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Mosi mah hmuennawk to sak boih.
17 And it comes to pass, in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, the Dwelling Place has been raised up;
To pongah saning hnetto haih, khrah tangsuek, ni hmaloe koek ah, Mosi mah kahni im to a sak.
18 and Moses raises up the Dwelling Place, and sets its sockets, and places its boards, and places its bars, and raises its pillars,
Mosi mah kahni im sak naah, akhok pahnuthaih hmuennawk to kacakah a sak, thingphaeknawk to a sak moe, takraenghaih thingnawk to sak pacoengah, tungnawk to a sak.
19 and spreads the tent over the Dwelling Place, and puts the covering of the tent on it above, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
To pacoengah kahni im to payuengh moe, Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, kani im ranuih to a khuk.
20 And he takes and puts the Testimony into the Ark, and sets the poles on the Ark, and puts the propitiatory covering on the Ark above;
Hnukung thingkhong to a lak moe, to thingkhong nuiah aputhaih thing to a hawt pacoengah, palungnathaih tangkhang to a nuiah suek.
21 and brings the Ark into the Dwelling Place, and places the veil of the covering, and covers over the Ark of the Testimony, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Thingkhong to kahni imthung ah a sin moe, Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, hnukung thingkhong to payang ih kahni hoiah a khuk.
22 And he puts the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the Dwelling Place northward, at the outside of the veil,
Mosi mah caboi to amkhuenghaih kahni imthung aluek bang, payang ih kahni tasa bangah a suek.
23 and sets in order the arrangement of bread on it, before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Angraeng hmaa ah takaw to a suek pae.
24 And he puts the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the Dwelling Place southward,
Hmaithawk paaanghaih tung doeh kahni imthung, kahni im aloih bang ah a suek.
25 and causes the lamps to go up before YHWH, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Angraeng hmaa ah hmaiim to paaang.
26 And he sets the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting, before the veil,
Mosi mah sui hmaicam to amkhuenghaih kahni imthung, payang ih kahni hmaa ah a suek.
27 and makes incense on it—spice-incense—as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, to ah hmuihoih to a thlaek.
28 And he sets the covering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place,
To pacoengah kahni im akunhaih thok taengah kahni to payang.
29 and he has set the altar of the burnt-offering [at] the opening of the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Meeting, and causes the burnt-offering to go up on it, and the present, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Kaminawk amkhuenghaih kahni im akunhaih thok taengah hmai angbawnhaih hmacam to a suek moe, Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, to hmaicam nuiah hmai angbawnhaih hoi cang angbawnhaih to a sak.
30 And he puts the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and puts water [in] there for washing,
Amkhuenghaih kahni im hoi hmaicam salakah, sabae kathuk to a suek moe, amsaehhaih tui to a lawn.
31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same;
Mosi, Aaron hoi a caanawk loe to ih tui hoiah khok bannawk to amsaeh o;
32 in their going into the Tent of Meeting, and in their drawing near to the altar, they wash, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
amkhuenghaih kahni imthung ah akun o moe, hmaicam taengah a caeh o naah, Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, nihcae loe tui hoiah amsaeh o.
33 And he raises up the court all around the Dwelling Place, and around the altar, and places the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completes the work.
To pacoengah Mosi mah hmaicam hoi longhma pakaahaih kahni to payang; longhma akunhaih khongkha taengah kahni to payang. To tiah Mosi mah toksakhaih to pacoeng.
34 And the cloud covers the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place;
To naah amkhuenghaih kahni im to tamai mah khuk, kahni im loe Angraeng lensawkhaih hoiah koi.
35 and Moses has not been able to go into the Tent of Meeting, for the cloud has dwelt on it, and the glory of YHWH has filled the Dwelling Place.
Amkhuenghaih kahni im to tamai mah khuk khoep pongah, Mosi loe kahni imthung ah akun thai ai; to naah kahni im loe Angraeng lensawkhaih hoiah koi.
36 And in the going up of the cloud from off the Dwelling Place the sons of Israel journey in all their journeys;
Israel kaminawk kholong caeh o naah, kahni im nui hoiah tamai angkhoeng pacoengah ni a caeh o vop;
37 and if the cloud does not go up then they do not journey, until the day of its going up.
tamai angkhoeng tahang ai nahaeloe, tamai angkhoeng tahang ai karoek to, kholong caeh o ai.
38 For the cloud of YHWH [is] on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire is in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeys.
Israel kaminawk kholong caeh o nathung, nihcae boih mikhnuk ah, athun naah Angraeng ih tamai to kahni im nuiah oh, khoving naah loe tamai nuiah hmai to oh.
