Exodus 34
1 And YHWH says to Moses, “Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and I have written on the tablets the words which were on the first tablets which you have broken;
Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln zu, wie die ersten, und Ich will auf die Tafeln die Worte schreiben, die auf den ersten Tafeln waren, die du zerbrochen hast.
2 and be prepared at morning, and you have come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and have stood before Me there, on the top of the mountain,
Und sei bereit für den Morgen, und steig am Morgen auf den Berg Sinai und stelle dich Mir daselbst auf des Berges Spitze.
3 and no man comes up with you, and also no man is seen in all the mountain, also the flock and the herd do not feed toward the front of that mountain.”
Und niemand steige mit dir hinauf, und soll sich auch niemand auf dem Berge sehen lassen. Auch Kleinvieh und Rind soll nicht vor diesem Berg weiden.
4 And he hews two tablets of stone like the first, and Moses rises early in the morning, and goes up to Mount Sinai as YHWH commanded him, and takes [the] two tablets of stone in his hand.
Und er hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln zu, gleich den ersten, und Mose machte sich früh am Morgen auf und stieg auf den Berg Sinai, wie Jehovah ihm geboten hatte, und nahm die zwei steinernen Tafeln in seine Hand.
5 And YHWH comes down in a cloud, and stations Himself with him there, and calls in the Name of YHWH,
Und Jehovah kam in der Wolke herab und stellte Sich zu ihm daselbst und rief Jehovahs Namen an.
6 and YHWH passes over before his face, and calls: “YHWH, YHWH God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth,
Und Jehovah zog vorüber vor seinem Angesicht und rief: Jehovah, Jehovah, Gott, erbarmungsvoll und gnädig, langmütig und groß an Barmherzigkeit und Wahrheit.
7 keeping kindness for thousands, taking away iniquity, and transgression, and sin, and not entirely acquitting, charging iniquity of fathers on sons and on sons’ sons, on a third and on a fourth [generation].”
Bewahrend Barmherzigkeit Tausenden, tragend Missetat und Übertretung und Sünde, aber nicht ungestraft lassend, heimsuchend die Missetat der Väter an den Söhnen und an der Söhne Söhnen bis ins dritte und vierte Glied.
8 And Moses hurries, and bows to the earth, and pays respect,
Und Mose eilte und verneigte sich zur Erde und betete an.
9 and says, “Now if I have found grace in Your eyes, O my Lord, please let my Lord go in our midst (for it [is] a stiff-necked people), and you have forgiven our iniquity and our sin, and have inherited us.”
Und sprach: Wenn ich doch Gnade fände in Deinen Augen, o Herr, daß der Herr doch in unserer Mitte zöge. Denn es ist ein hartnäckiges Volk; aber vergib unsrer Missetat und unsrer Sünde und mach uns zum Erbe.
10 And He says, “Behold, I am making a covenant. I do wonders before all your people, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation, and all the people in whose midst you [are in] have seen the work of YHWH, for it [is] fearful—that which I am doing with you.
Und Er sprach: Siehe, Ich schließe einen Bund; vor all deinem Volke will Ich Wunder tun, dergleichen nicht geschaffen sind auf der ganzen Erde und unter allen Völkerschaften; und sehen wird das ganze Volk, in dessen Mitte du bist, das Tun Jehovahs; denn furchtbar wird sein, was Ich mit dir tun werde.
11 Observe for yourself that which I am commanding you today. Behold, I am casting out from before you the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite;
Halte dir, was heut Ich dir gebiete. Siehe, Ich vertreibe vor dir den Amoriter und den Kanaaniter, und den Chethiter und den Pherisiter und den Chiviter und den Jebusiter.
12 take heed to yourself lest you make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land into which you are going, lest it become a snare in your midst;
Hüte dich, daß du nicht einen Bund mit dem Einwohner des Landes schließest, in das du kommst; auf daß er nicht zum Fallstrick in deiner Mitte werde.
13 for you break down their altars, and you shatter their standing pillars, and you cut down its Asherim;
Darum sollt ihr ihre Altäre einreißen und ihre Bildsäulen zerbrechen und ihre Ascheren ausrotten.
14 for you do not bow yourselves to another god—for YHWH, whose Name [is] Zealous, is a zealous God.
Denn du sollst keinen anderen Gott anbeten; denn Jehovah, Eiferer ist Sein Name, ein eifriger Gott ist Er.
15 Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, and they have gone whoring after their gods, and have sacrificed to their gods, and [one] has called to you, and you have eaten of his sacrifice,
Daß du keinen Bund schließest mit dem Einwohner des Landes, und sie nachbuhlen ihren Göttern und opfern ihren Göttern, und er dann dich rufe und du essest von ihrem Opfer,
16 and you have taken of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters have gone whoring after their gods, and have caused your sons to go whoring after their gods;
Und nehmest von ihren Töchtern für deine Söhne, und dann ihre Töchter ihren Göttern nachbuhlen, und machen deine Söhne ihren Göttern nachbuhlen.
17 you do not make a molten god for yourself.
Mache dir keine gegossenen Götter.
18 You keep the Celebration of Unleavened Things; [for] seven days you eat unleavened things, as I have commanded you, at an appointed time, [in] the month of Abib: for in the month of Abib you came out from Egypt.
Das Fest des Ungesäuerten sollst du halten, sieben Tage Ungesäuertes essen, wie Ich dir geboten habe, zur bestimmten Zeit des Monats Abib; denn im Monat Abib bist du aus Ägypten ausgegangen.
19 All opening a womb [are] Mine, and every firstling of your livestock born a male, [whether] ox or sheep;
Alles, was die Mutter bricht, ist Mein, und von all deiner Viehherde sollst du das Männliche geben, alles Erstgeborene von Ochs und von Kleinvieh.
20 and you ransom the firstling of a donkey with a lamb; and if you do not ransom, then you have beheaded it; you ransom every firstborn of your sons, and they do not appear before Me empty.
Und das Erstgeborene des Esels sollst du mit einem Lamme einlösen; und wenn du es nicht einlösest, so brich ihm das Genick. Jeden Erstgeborenen deiner Söhne sollst du lösen; und vor Meinem Angesicht soll man nicht leer erscheinen.
21 [For] six days you work, and on the seventh day you rest; in plowing-time and in harvest you rest.
Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten, aber am siebenten Tage feiern; mit dem Pflügen und dem Ernten sollst du feiern.
22 And you observe [the] Celebration of Weeks for yourself, of [the] first-fruits of wheat-harvest; and the Celebration of Ingathering at the revolution of the year.
Und das Fest der Woche sollst du bei dir halten mit den Erstlingen der Weizenernte, und das Fest der Einsammlung im Verlaufe des Jahres.
23 Three times in a year all your males appear before the Lord YHWH, God of Israel;
Dreimal des Jahres erscheine all dein Männliches vor dem Angesicht des Herrn Jehovah, des Gottes Israels.
24 for I dispossess nations from before you, and have enlarged your border, and no man desires your land in your going up to appear before your God YHWH three times in a year.
Denn Ich will die Völkerschaften vor deinem Angesicht austreiben und deine Grenze erweitern, und niemand soll dein Land begehren, wenn du hinaufgehst, dreimal im Jahre das Angesicht Jehovahs, deines Gottes, zu sehen.
25 You do not slaughter the blood of My sacrifice with a fermented thing; and the sacrifice of the Celebration of the Passover does not remain until morning.
Du sollst nicht über Gesäuertem das Blut Meines Opfers schlachten, noch soll über Nacht bis zum Morgen bleiben das Opfer des Passahfestes.
26 You bring the first of the first-fruits of the land into the house of your God YHWH. You do not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.”
Das Erste der Erstlinge deines Bodens sollst du in das Haus Jehovahs deines Gottes bringen. Du sollst nicht kochen das Böcklein in der Milch seiner Mutter.
27 And YHWH says to Moses, “Write these words for yourself, for I have made a covenant with you and with Israel according to the tenor of these words.”
Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Schreibe dir diese Worte auf; denn nach dem Ausspruch dieser Worte schließe Ich einen Bund mit dir und mit Israel.
28 And he is there with YHWH forty days and forty nights; he has not eaten bread, and he has not drunk water; and he writes on the tablets the matters of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
Und er war dort mit Jehovah vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte, er aß kein Brot und trank kein Wasser; und Er schrieb die Worte des Bundes, die Zehn Worte, auf die Tafeln.
29 And it comes to pass, when Moses is coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony [are] in the hand of Moses in his coming down from the mountain), that Moses has not known that the skin of his face has shone in His speaking with him,
Und es geschah, als Mose vom Berge Sinai herabkam, und die zwei Tafeln des Zeugnisses in Moses Hand waren, bei seinem Herabkommen vom Berg, daß Mose nicht wußte, daß die Haut seines Angesichts davon strahlte, daß er mit Ihm geredet hatte.
30 and Aaron sees—all the sons of Israel also—Moses, and behold, the skin of his face has shone, and they are afraid of coming near to him.
Und Aharon und alle Söhne Israels sahen Mose, und siehe, die Haut seines Angesichts strahlte, und sie fürchteten sich, zu ihm herzutreten.
31 And Moses calls to them, and Aaron and all the princes in the congregation return to him, and Moses speaks to them;
Und Mose rief ihnen zu, und Aharon und alle die Fürsten in der Gemeinde kehrten zurück, und Mose redete zu ihnen;
32 and afterward all the sons of Israel have come near, and he charges them with all that YHWH has spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
Und nachher traten alle Söhne Israels herzu und er gebot ihnen alles, was Jehovah mit ihm auf dem Berge Sinai geredet hatte.
33 And Moses finishes speaking with them, and puts a veil on his face;
Und Mose vollendete mit ihnen zu reden, und er tat eine Hülle über sein Angesicht.
34 and in the going in of Moses before YHWH to speak with Him, he turns aside the veil until his coming out; and he has come out and has spoken to the sons of Israel that which he is commanded;
Und wenn Mose hineinging vor Jehovah, mit Ihm zu reden, nahm er die Hülle ab, bis er herausging; und er ging heraus und redete zu den Söhnen Israels, was ihm geboten war.
35 and the sons of Israel have seen the face of Moses, that the skin of the face of Moses has shone, and Moses has put back the veil on his face until his going in to speak with Him.
Und die Söhne Israels sahen das Angesicht Moses, daß die Haut von Moses Ange- sicht strahlte, und Mose tat die Hülle zurück über sein Angesicht, bis er hineinging, mit Ihm zu reden.
