Exodus 24
1 And He said to Moses, “Come up to YHWH, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy from [the] elderly of Israel, and you have bowed yourselves far off”;
Depois disse a Moysés: Sobe ao Senhor, tu e Aarão, Nadab e Abihu, e setenta dos anciãos d'Israel; e inclinae-vos de longe.
2 and Moses has drawn near to YHWH by himself; and they do not draw near, and the people do not go up with him.
E Moysés só se chegará ao Senhor; mas elles não se cheguem, nem o povo suba com elle.
3 And Moses comes in, and recounts to the people all the words of YHWH, and all the judgments, and all the people answer [with] one voice, and say, “All the words which YHWH has spoken we do.”
Vindo pois Moysés, e contando ao povo todas as palavras do Senhor, e todos os estatutos, então o povo respondeu a uma voz, e disseram: Todas as palavras, que o Senhor tem fallado, faremos.
4 And Moses writes all the words of YHWH, and rises early in the morning, and builds an altar under the hill, and twelve standing pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel;
E Moysés escreveu todas as palavras do Senhor, e levantou-se pela manhã de madrugada, e edificou um altar ao pé do monte, e doze monumentos, segundo as doze tribus d'Israel;
5 and he sends the youths of the sons of Israel, and they cause burnt-offerings to ascend, and sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings to YHWH—calves.
E enviou os mancebos dos filhos d'Israel, os quaes offereceram holocaustos, e sacrificaram ao Senhor sacrificios pacificos de bezerros.
6 And Moses takes half of the blood and puts [it] in basins, and he has sprinkled half of the blood on the altar;
E Moysés tomou a metade do sangue, e a poz em bacias; e a outra metade do sangue espargiu sobre o altar.
7 and he takes the Scroll of the Covenant, and proclaims [it] in the ears of the people, and they say, “All that which YHWH has spoken we do, and we obey.”
E tomou o livro do concerto e o leu aos ouvidos do povo, e elles disseram: Tudo o que o Senhor tem fallado faremos, e obedeceremos.
8 And Moses takes the blood and sprinkles [it] on the people, and says, “Behold, the blood of the covenant which YHWH has made with you, concerning all these things.”
Então tomou Moysés aquelle sangue, e espargiu-o sobre o povo, e disse: Eis-aqui o sangue do concerto que o Senhor tem feito comvosco sobre todas estas palavras.
9 And Moses goes up, Aaron also, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy from [the] elderly of Israel,
E subiram Moysés e Aarão, Nadab e Abihu, e setenta dos anciãos d'Isrel,
10 and they see the God of Israel, and under His feet [is] as the work of a pavement of sapphire, and as the substance of the heavens for purity;
E viram o Deus d'Israel, e debaixo de seus pés havia como uma obra de pedra de saphira, e como o parecer do céu na sua claridade.
11 and He has not put forth His hand to those of the sons of Israel who are near, and they see God, and eat and drink.
Porém não estendeu a sua mão sobre os escolhidos dos filhos d'Israel, mas viram a Deus, e comeram e beberam.
12 And YHWH says to Moses, “Come up to Me [on] the mountain and be there, and I give to you the tablets of stone, and the Law, and the command, which I have written to direct them.”
Então disse o Senhor a Moysés: Sobe a mim ao monte, e fica lá: e dar-te-hei taboas de pedra, e a lei, e os mandamentos que tenho escripto, para os ensinar.
13 And Moses rises—his minister Joshua also—and Moses goes up to the mountain of God;
E levantou-se Moysés com Josué seu servidor; e subiu Moysés ao monte de Deus,
14 and he has said to the elderly, “Abide for us in this [place] until we return to you, and behold, Aaron and Hur [are] with you—he who has matters comes near to them.”
E disse aos anciãos: Esperae-nos aqui, até que tornemos a vós: e eis que Aarão e Hur ficam comvosco; quem tiver algum negocio, se chegará a elles.
15 And Moses goes up to the mountain, and the cloud covers the mountain;
E, subindo Moysés ao monte, a nuvem cobriu o monte.
16 and the glory of YHWH dwells on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covers it [for] six days, and He calls to Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.
E habitava a gloria do Senhor sobre o monte de Sinai, e a nuvem o cobriu por seis dias: e ao setimo dia chamou a Moysés do meio da nuvem.
17 And the appearance of the glory of YHWH [is] as a consuming fire on the top of the mountain, before the eyes of the sons of Israel;
E o parecer da gloria do Senhor era como um fogo consumidor no cume do monte, aos olhos dos filhos d'Israel.
18 and Moses goes into the midst of the cloud, and goes up to the mountain, and Moses is on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
E Moysés entrou no meio da nuvem, depois que subiu ao monte: e Moysés esteve no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites.
