Exodus 20
1 And God speaks all these words, saying,
১ঈশ্বৰে এই সকলো কথা ক’লে:
2 “I [am] your God YHWH, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.
২“মই যিহোৱা, তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ, মিচৰ দেশৰ বন্দীঘৰৰ পৰা উলিয়াই অনা তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা ময়েই।
3 You have no other Gods before Me.
৩মোৰ আগত তোমালোকৰ আন কোনো দেৱতা নাথাকক।
4 You do not make a carved image for yourself, or any likeness which [is] in the heavens above, or which [is] in the earth beneath, or which [is] in the waters under the earth.
৪তোমালোকে নিজৰ বাবে, স্বৰ্গত থকা, অথবা পৃথিবীত থকা, বা পানীৰ তলত থকা কোনো আকৃতিৰ মূৰ্ত্তি নাসাজিবা।
5 You do not bow yourself to them, nor serve them: for I, your God YHWH, [am] a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on a third and on a fourth [generation] of those hating Me,
৫সেইবোৰৰ আগত তোমালোকে প্ৰণিপাত নকৰিবা, আৰু সেইবোৰক সেৱাপূজাও নকৰিবা; কাৰণ মই যিহোৱা, তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ। মই ঈৰ্ষাম্বিত ঈশ্বৰ। মোক ঘৃণা কৰা লোকসকলৰ সন্তানসকলক তেওঁলোকৰ পিতৃসকলৰ অপৰাধৰ শাস্তি মই তৃতীয় চতুৰ্থ পুৰুষলৈকে দিওঁ।
6 and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.
৬কিন্তু মোক প্ৰেম কৰা আৰু মোৰ আজ্ঞা পালন কৰা সকলক মই মোৰ বিশ্বাসযোগ্য চুক্তি হাজাৰ হাজাৰ পুৰুষলৈকে দেখাও।
7 You do not take up the Name of your God YHWH for a vain thing, for YHWH does not acquit him who takes up His Name for a vain thing.
৭তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ নাম অনৰ্থকৰূপে নলবা; কিয়নো, যি কোনোৱে তেওঁৰ নাম অনৰ্থকৰূপে লয়, যিহোৱাই তেওঁক নিৰ্দ্দোষী নকৰিব।
8 Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it;
৮মোৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বিশ্ৰাম-দিন সোঁৱৰণ কৰি পবিত্ৰ কৰিবা।
9 six days you labor and have done all your work,
৯ছয় দিন পৰিশ্ৰম কৰি তোমালোকে সকলো কাৰ্য কৰিবা।
10 and the seventh day [is] a Sabbath to your God YHWH; you do not do any work, you, and your son, and your daughter, your manservant, and your handmaid, and your livestock, and your sojourner who is within your gates—
১০কিন্তু সপ্তম দিন তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বিশ্ৰাম-দিন। সেই দিনা তোমালোকে, অথবা তোমালোকৰ পুত্র, ছোৱালী, বা তোমালোকৰ দাস, বা দাসী, বা তোমালোকৰ পশু, বা তোমালোকৰ দুৱাৰৰ ভিতৰত থকা বিদেশী, কোনোৱে একো কাম নকৰিবা।
11 for [in] six days YHWH has made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rests in the seventh day; therefore YHWH has blessed the Sabbath day and sanctifies it.
১১কাৰণ, মই যিহোৱাই আকাশ-মণ্ডল, পৃথিৱী, সমুদ্ৰ, আৰু সেইবোৰত থকা সকলোকে ছয় দিনত নিৰ্মাণ কৰিলোঁ, আৰু তাৰ পাছত সপ্তম দিনা বিশ্ৰাম কৰিলোঁ; এই হেতুকে মই যিহোৱাই মোৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বিশ্ৰাম-দিনক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰি পবিত্ৰ কৰিলোঁ।
12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged on the ground which your God YHWH is giving to you.
১২তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই তোমালোকক যি দেশ দিছে, সেই দেশত তোমালোকৰ আয়ুস দীঘল হ’বলৈ, তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ পিতৃ-মাতৃক সন্মান কৰিবা।
13 You do not murder.
১৩নৰ-বধ নকৰিবা।
14 You do not commit adultery.
১৪কোনো লোকৰ সৈতে ব্যভিচাৰ নকৰিবা।
15 You do not steal.
১৫কাৰো পৰা চুৰ নকৰিবা।
16 You do not answer [with] a false testimony against your neighbor.
১৬তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ চুবুৰীয়াৰ অহিতে মিছা সাক্ষ্য নিদিবা।
17 You do not desire the house of your neighbor, you do not desire the wife of your neighbor, or his manservant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything which [is] your neighbor’s.”
১৭তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ চুবুৰীয়াৰ ঘৰলৈ লোভ নকৰিবা; তোমালোকে তোমালোকৰ চুবুৰীয়াৰ ভার্যালৈ লোভ নকৰিবা, অথবা তেওঁৰ দাস, তেওঁৰ দাসী, তেওঁৰ গৰু, তেওঁৰ গাধ, বা তেওঁৰ আন কোনো বস্তুলৈকে লোভ নকৰিবা।”
18 And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the horn, and the mountain smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand far off,
১৮তেতিয়া লোকসকলে মেঘ-গৰ্জ্জন, বিজুলী, শিঙাধ্বনি, আৰু পৰ্ব্বত ধোঁৱাময় হোৱা দেখিলে। লোকসকলে এইদৰে হোৱা দেখি ভয়ত কম্পমান হৈ তেওঁলোক দূৰত থিয় হ’ল।
19 and say to Moses, “Speak with us, and we hear, and do not let God speak with us, lest we die.”
১৯তেওঁলোকে মোচিক ক’লে, “আপুনিয়ে আমাক কথা কওক; আমি শুনিম। কিন্তু আমাৰ সৈতে ঈশ্বৰক কথা ক’বলৈ নিদিব, নহ’লে আমি মৰিম।”
20 And Moses says to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to try you, and in order that His fear may be before your faces—that you do not sin.”
২০তেতিয়া মোচিয়ে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “ভয় নকৰিব; আপোনালোকে যেন ঈশ্বৰলৈ ভয়ভক্তি ৰাখে আৰু পাপ নকৰে, সেই বাবে আপোনালোকক পৰীক্ষা কৰিবলৈ তেওঁ আপোনালোকৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিল।”
21 And the people stand far off, and Moses has drawn near to the thick darkness where God [is].
২১সেয়ে লোকসকল দূৰত থিয় হৈ আছিল; কিন্তু মোচিয়ে যি ঠাইত ঈশ্বৰ আছিল, সেই ঘোৰ অন্ধকাৰৰ ফালে গতি কৰিলে।
22 And YHWH says to Moses, “Thus you say to the sons of Israel: You have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens;
২২যিহোৱাই মোচিক ক’লে, “তুমি ইস্ৰায়েলী লোকসকলক এই কথা কবা: ‘মই যে স্বৰ্গৰ পৰা তোমালোকৰ সৈতে কথা পাতিলোঁ, তোমালোকে নিজেই তাক দেখিলা।
23 you do not make gods of silver and gods of gold [to be] with Me—you do not make [any idol] for yourselves.
২৩তোমালোকে মোৰ কাষত তোমালোকৰ বাবে আন কোনো ৰূপৰ বা সোণৰ দেৱমূৰ্তি নাসাজিবা।
24 You make an altar of earth for Me, and you have sacrificed on it your burnt-offerings and your peace-offerings, your flock and your herd; in every place where I cause My Name to be remembered I come to you, and have blessed you.
২৪তোমালোকে মোৰ অৰ্থে মাটিৰ যজ্ঞবেদী নিৰ্মাণ কৰিবা, আৰু তাৰ ওপৰতে তোমালোকৰ হোম-বলি, সমজুৱা বলি, মেৰ-ছাগ, আৰু ষাঁড়গৰুবোৰ উৎসৰ্গ কৰিবা। যি ঠাইবোৰত মই মোৰ নাম গৌৰৱম্বানিত কৰিম, সেই সকলো ঠাইতে মই তোমাৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি তোমাক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰিম।
25 And if you make an altar of stones for Me, you do not build them of hewn work; when you have waved your tool over it, then you defile it;
২৫তুমি যদি মোৰ অৰ্থে শিলৰ যজ্ঞবেদী নিৰ্মাণ কৰা, তেনেহলে তুমি সেই বেদী কটা-শিলেৰে নিৰ্মাণ নকৰিবা; কাৰণ তাৰ ওপৰত যদি তুমি তোমাৰ অস্ত্ৰ লগোৱা, তেন্তে তুমি তাক অপবিত্ৰহে কৰিবা।
26 neither do you go up by steps on My altar, that your nakedness is not revealed on it.
২৬তোমাৰ গোপনীয় অংশ যেন দেখা নাযায়, সেই বাবে মোৰ যজ্ঞবেদীলৈ তুমি খটখটিয়েদি নাযাবা’।”
