Exodus 19
1 In the third month of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in this day they have come into the wilderness of Sinai,
౧ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు ఐగుప్తు దేశం నుండి బయలుదేరిన మూడవ నెల మొదటి రోజున సీనాయి ఎడారి ప్రాంతానికి వచ్చారు.
2 and they journey from Rephidim, and enter the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in the wilderness; and Israel encamps there before the mountain.
౨వాళ్ళు రెఫీదీము నుండి బయలుదేరి సీనాయి ఎడారికి వచ్చి అక్కడ పర్వతం ఎదుట ఎడారిలో విడిది చేశారు.
3 And Moses has gone up to God, and YHWH calls to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you say to the house of Jacob, and declare to the sons of Israel:
౩మోషే యెహోవా సన్నిధి ఉన్న కొండపైకి ఎక్కి వెళ్ళాడు. యెహోవా ఆ కొండపై నుండి అతణ్ణి పిలిచాడు. యెహోవా మోషేతో “నువ్వు యాకోబు సంతతితో మాట్లాడి ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలతో ఇలా చెప్పు.
4 You have seen that which I have done to the Egyptians, and [how] I carry you on eagles’ wings and bring you to Myself.
౪‘నేను ఐగుప్తీయులకు ఏమి జరిగించానో, గరుడ పక్షి రెక్కల మీద మోసినట్టు మిమ్మల్ని నా దగ్గరికి ఎలా చేర్చుకొన్నానో మీరు చూశారు.
5 And now, if you really listen to My voice, then you have kept My covenant, and have been a special treasure to Me more than all the peoples, for all the earth [is] Mine;
౫ఇప్పుడు మీరు నా మాట శ్రద్ధగా విని, నా ఒడంబడిక ప్రకారం నడుచుకుంటే అన్ని దేశ ప్రజల్లో నాకు విశేషమైన ఆస్తిగా ఉంటారు. భూమి అంతా నాదే గదా.
6 and you are to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation: these [are] the words which you speak to the sons of Israel.”
౬మీరు యాజక రాజ్యంగా పవిత్రప్రజగా ఉంటారు.’ నువ్వు ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలతో చెప్పాల్సిన మాటలు ఇవే” అన్నాడు.
7 And Moses comes, and calls for [the] elderly of the people, and sets before them all these words which YHWH has commanded him;
౭మోషే కొండ దిగి వచ్చి ప్రజల పెద్దలను పిలిపించాడు. యెహోవా తనకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ఆ మాటలన్నీ వారికి తెలియజేశాడు.
8 and all the people answer together and say, “All that YHWH has spoken we do”; and Moses returns the words of the people to YHWH.
౮అందుకు ప్రజలంతా “యెహోవా చెప్పినదంతా మేము చేస్తాం” అని ముక్తకంఠంతో జవాబిచ్చారు. అప్పుడు మోషే తిరిగి వెళ్లి ప్రజలు చెప్పిన మాటలను యెహోవాకు తెలియజేశాడు.
9 And YHWH says to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in the thickness of the cloud, so that the people hear in My speaking with you, and also believe in you for all time”; and Moses declares the words of the people to YHWH.
౯యెహోవా మోషేతో “ఇదిగో నేను కారుమబ్బులో నీ దగ్గరికి వస్తున్నాను. నేను నీతో మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగా ప్రజలు విని ఎప్పటికీ నీ మీద నమ్మకం ఉంచుతారు” అన్నాడు. మోషే ప్రజల మాటలను యెహోవాతో చెప్పాడు.
10 And YHWH says to Moses, “Go to the people and you have sanctified them today and tomorrow, and they have washed their garments,
౧౦అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేతో “నీవు ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్లి ఈ రోజూ రేపూ వాళ్ళను పవిత్రపరచు. నా రాక కోసం వాళ్ళు సిద్ధం చెయ్యి. వాళ్ళు తమ బట్టలు ఉతుక్కుని
11 and have been prepared for the third day; for on the third day YHWH comes down on Mount Sinai before the eyes of all the people.
౧౧మూడవ రోజుకల్లా సిద్ధంగా ఉండాలి. మూడవ రోజు యెహోవా అనే నేను ప్రజలందరి కళ్ళెదుట సీనాయి కొండ పైకి దిగివస్తాను.
12 And you have made a border [for] the people all around, saying, Take heed to yourselves, going up into the mountain or coming against its extremity; whoever is coming against the mountain is certainly put to death;
౧౨నువ్వు కొండ చుట్టూ హద్దు ఏర్పాటు చెయ్యి. ప్రజలతో, ‘మీరు ఈ కొండ ఎక్కకూడదు. దాని అంచును కూడా ముట్టుకోకూడదు. జాగ్రత్త. ఈ కొండను ముట్టుకున్న ప్రతివాడూ మరణశిక్షకు లోనవుతాడు.
13 a hand does not come against him, for he is certainly stoned or shot through, whether beast or man—it does not live; in the prolonging of the ram’s horn they go up into the mountain.”
౧౩ఎవ్వరూ తమ చేతులతో ముట్టుకున్న వాణ్ణి తాకకూడదు. రాళ్ళతో గానీ బాణాలతో గానీ కచ్చితంగా అతణ్ణి చంపెయ్యాలి. మనిషైనా జంతువైనా మరణ శిక్ష విధించాల్సిందే. సుదీర్ఘమైన బూర శబ్దం వినినప్పుడు వాళ్ళు కొండ పాదానికి చేరుకోవాలి’ అని చెప్పు” అన్నాడు.
14 And Moses comes down from the mountain to the people, and sanctifies the people, and they wash their garments;
౧౪అప్పుడు మోషే కొండ దిగి ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వచ్చి ప్రజలను పవిత్ర పరిచాడు. ప్రజలు తమ బట్టలు ఉతుక్కున్నారు.
15 and he says to the people, “Be prepared for the third day, do not come near to a woman.”
౧౫అప్పుడు మోషే “మూడవ రోజుకల్లా సిద్ధంగా ఉండండి. మీ భార్యల దగ్గరికి వెళ్లొద్దు.” అని చెప్పాడు.
16 And it comes to pass, on the third day, while it is morning, that there are voices, and lightnings, and a heavy cloud on the mountain, and the sound of a very strong horn; and all the people who [are] in the camp tremble.
౧౬మూడవ రోజు తెల్లవారగానే ఆ కొండ మీద దట్టమైన మేఘాలు కమ్మి ఉరుములు, మెరుపులు వచ్చాయి. భీకరమైన బూర శబ్దం వినిపించినప్పుడు శిబిరంలోని ప్రజలంతా భయంతో వణకిపోయారు.
17 And Moses brings out the people from the camp to meet God, and they station themselves at the lower part of the mountain,
౧౭దేవుణ్ణి ఎదుర్కొనడానికి మోషే శిబిరంలో నుండి ప్రజలను బయటకు రప్పించాడు. ప్రజలంతా కొండ పాదం దగ్గర నిలబడ్డారు.
18 and Mount Sinai [is] wholly [in] smoke from the presence of YHWH, who has come down on it in fire, and its smoke goes up as smoke of the furnace, and the whole mountain trembles exceedingly;
౧౮మండుతున్న మంటలతో యెహోవా సీనాయి కొండపైకి దిగి వచ్చాడు. ఆ కొండ అంతా పొగ కమ్మింది. అది కొలిమి పొగలాగా పైకి లేస్తూ ఉంది. ఆ కొండంతా తీవ్రంగా కంపించింది.
19 and the sound of the horn is going on, and [is] very strong; Moses speaks, and God answers him with a voice.
౧౯ఆ బూర శబ్దం మరింత పెరుగుతూ ఉండగా మోషే మాట్లాడుతూ ఉన్నాడు. దేవుడు ఉరుములాంటి కంఠ స్వరంతో అతనికి జవాబిస్తున్నాడు.
20 And YHWH comes down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain, and YHWH calls for Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses goes up.
౨౦యెహోవా సీనాయి కొండ శిఖరం మీదికి దిగి వచ్చాడు. కొండ శిఖరం మీదికి రమ్మని మోషేను పిలిచినప్పుడు మోషే ఎక్కి వెళ్ళాడు.
21 And YHWH says to Moses, “Go down, protest to the people, lest they break through to YHWH to see, and many of them have fallen;
౨౧అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేతో “ఈ ప్రజలు యెహోవాను చూద్దామని హద్దు మీరి వచ్చి వారిలో చాలా మంది నశించిపోకుండేలా నువ్వు కొండ దిగి వెళ్లి వాళ్లను కచ్చితంగా హెచ్చరించు.
22 and also the priests who are coming near to YHWH sanctify themselves, lest YHWH break forth on them.”
౨౨ఇంకా నన్ను సమీపించే యాజకులు సిద్ధపడి నేను వారిని చంపకుండేలా తమను తాము పవిత్ర పరుచుకోవాలని చెప్పు” అన్నాడు.
23 And Moses says to YHWH, “The people [are] unable to come up to Mount Sinai, for You have protested to us, saying, Make a border [for] the mountain, then you have sanctified it.”
౨౩అందుకు మోషే యెహోవాతో “ప్రజలు సీనాయి కొండ ఎక్కలేరు. నువ్వు కొండకు హద్దులు ఏర్పాటు చేసి దాన్ని పవిత్రంగా ఉంచాలని మాకు కచ్చితంగా ఆజ్ఞాపించావు గదా” అన్నాడు.
24 And YHWH says to him, “Go, descend, then you have come up, you and Aaron with you; and the priests and the people do not break through to come up to YHWH, lest He break forth on them.”
౨౪అప్పుడు యెహోవా “నువ్వు కిందకు దిగి వెళ్లు. నువ్వు అహరోనును వెంటబెట్టుకుని తిరిగి రావాలి. అయితే యెహోవా వారి మీద పడకుండా ఉండేలా యాజకులు, ప్రజలు హద్దు మీరి ఆయన దగ్గరికి ఎక్కి రాకూడదు” అని చెప్పాడు.
25 And Moses goes down to the people and speaks to them.
౨౫మోషే ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్లి ఆ మాట వాళ్ళతో చెప్పాడు.
