Exodus 11
1 And YHWH says to Moses, “One more plague I bring in on Pharaoh and on Egypt, afterward he sends you away from this; when he is sending you away, he surely casts you out from this [place] altogether;
Dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “Solo una plaga más haré venir sobre el Faraón y sobre los egipcios; después de la cual os dejará marchar de aquí; y cuando, por fin, os deje salir, lo hará expulsándoos por completo de aquí.
2 now speak in the ears of the people, and they ask—each man from his neighbor, and each woman from her neighbor—[for] vessels of silver and vessels of gold.”
Di, pues, al pueblo que cada hombre pida a su vecino, y cada mujer a su vecina, objetos de plata y objetos de oro.”
3 And YHWH gives the grace of the people in the eyes of the Egyptians; also the man Moses [is] very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of the servants of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of the people.
Pues Yahvé había hecho que el pueblo hallase gracia a los ojos de los egipcios. Además, Moisés era una persona muy grande en la tierra de Egipto, tanto a los ojos de los siervos del Faraón como a los ojos del pueblo.
4 And Moses says, “Thus said YHWH: About midnight I am going out into the midst of Egypt,
Dijo entonces Moisés: “Así dice Yahvé: A medianoche pasaré Yo a través de Egipto;
5 and every firstborn in the land of Egypt has died, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who is sitting on his throne, to the firstborn of the maidservant who [is] behind the millstones, and all the firstborn of beasts;
y morirá en el país de Egipto todo primogénito, desde el primogénito del Faraón que se sienta en su trono, hasta el primogénito de la esclava que está detrás de la muela, y todo primogénito del ganado.
6 and there has been a great cry in all the land of Egypt, such as there has not been, and such as there is not again;
Y se alzará en todo el país de Egipto un alarido grande cual nunca ha habido, y nunca lo habrá.
7 and against all the sons of Israel a dog does not sharpen its tongue, from man even to beast, so that you know that YHWH makes a separation between the Egyptians and Israel.
Pero contra ninguno de los hijos de Israel, contra ningún hombre y ninguna bestia, ni siquiera ladrará un perro; para que sepáis qué distinción hace Yahvé entre los egipcios e Israel.
8 And all these servants of yours have come down to me, and bowed themselves to me, saying, Go out, you and all the people who [are] at your feet; and afterward I go out”; and he goes out from Pharaoh in the heat of anger.
Entonces vendrán a mí todos estos tus siervos, y se postrarán delante de mí, diciendo: Sal tú y todo el pueblo que te sigue. Y después de esto saldré.” Y encendido en cólera se retiró de la presencia del Faraón.
9 And YHWH says to Moses, “Pharaoh does not listen to you, so as to multiply My wonders in the land of Egypt”;
Y dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “No os escuchará el Faraón, para que se multipliquen mis prodigios en la tierra de Egipto.”
10 and Moses and Aaron have done all these wonders before Pharaoh, and YHWH strengthens Pharaoh’s heart, and he has not sent the sons of Israel out of his land.
Moisés y Aarón obraron todos estos prodigios delante del Faraón; pero Yahvé endureció el corazón del Faraón, el cual no dejó salir de su país a los hijos de Israel.
