Esther 10

1 And King Ahasuerus sets a tribute on the land and the islands of the sea;

Y el rey Asuero impuso un impuesto sobre la tierra y sobre las islas del mar.

2 and all the work of his strength, and his might, and the explanation of the greatness of Mordecai with which the king made him great, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of Media and Persia?

Y todos sus actos de poder y su gran fuerza y la historia completa del lugar elevado que el rey dio a Mardoqueo, ¿no están registrados en el libro de la historia de los reyes de Media y Persia?

3 For Mordecai the Jew [is] second to King Ahasuerus, and a great man of the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brothers, seeking good for his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Para Mardoqueo, el judío, era superado solo por el rey Asuero, y grande entre los judíos y respetado por el cuerpo de sus compatriotas; trabajando por el bien de su pueblo, y diciendo palabras de paz a toda su simiente.
