Esther 10

1 And King Ahasuerus sets a tribute on the land and the islands of the sea;

Or le roi Assuérus rendit toute la terre et toutes les îles de la mer tributaires.

2 and all the work of his strength, and his might, and the explanation of the greatness of Mordecai with which the king made him great, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of Media and Persia?

Sa force, et son empire, et la dignité et la grandeur à laquelle il éleva Mardochée, sont écrits dans les livres des Mèdes et des Perses;

3 For Mordecai the Jew [is] second to King Ahasuerus, and a great man of the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brothers, seeking good for his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Et comme Mardochée, de la race judaïque, devint le second après le roi Assuérus, grand parmi les Juifs, et agréable à la foule de ses frères, cherchant le bien pour son peuple, et ne disant que ce qui intéressait la paix de sa race.
