< Ephesians 4 >

1 I, the prisoner of the LORD, then call on you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
Emomiyo akwayou, an ngʼat motwe nikech tich Ruoth, mondo udag dak mowinjore gi luong ma Nyasaye noluongoue.
2 with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,
Kinde duto beduru joma muol chutho, modimbore, kendo ma hore mos ka ukawo tingʼ joweteu kuom hera.
3 being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace;
Temuru duto munyalo mondo urit achiel mar Roho ka usiko e kwe moriwou kaachiel.
4 one body and one Spirit, according as you were also called in one hope of your calling;
Nitie ringruok achiel kod Roho achiel, mana kaka ne un e geno achiel kane oluongu,
5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion,
bende wan gi Ruoth achiel, yie achiel, gi batiso achiel;
6 one God and Father of all, who [is] over all, and through all, and in you all,
Nyasaye achiel kendo Wuon ji duto, en moloyo duto kendo en ema otiyo kuom duto.
7 and to each one of you was given grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ,
Kristo, kaluwore gi dwarone, osemiyo ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomwa ngʼwono.
8 for this reason, it says, “Having gone up on high He led captive captivity, and gave gifts to men.”
Mano emomiyo Ndiko wacho niya, “Kane oidho odhi malo, nodhi kotelo ni joma nomako e lweny, kendo nomiyo ji mich.”
9 And that, He went up, what is it except that He also went down first into the lower parts of the earth?
(To ere tiend wachni, “Nine oidho?” Donge onyiso ni nolor bende mwalo e bwo piny?
10 He who went down is the same who also went up far above all the heavens, that He may fill all things—
Omiyo Jalno mane olor bende ema noidho malo kuma bor moyombo polo duto, mondo opongʼ piny duto gi duongʼne.)
11 and He gave some [as] apostles, and some [as] prophets, and some [as] proclaimers of good news, and some [as] shepherds and teachers,
En bende ema nochiwo mich ni ji koyiero jomoko mondo obedi joote, to jomoko jonabi, to moko joland Injili, to jomoko jokwath gi jopuonj,
12 to the perfecting of the holy ones, for a work of ministry, for a building up of the body of the Christ,
mondo gitieg jo-Nyasaye duto obed molony kuom tiyo tich Kristo, eka ringre Kristo ogerre,
13 until we may all come to the unity of faith and of the recognition of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a measure of stature of the fullness of the Christ,
nyaka chop wan duto wabed achiel e yie mawan-go kuom Wuod Nyasaye kendo wamed ngʼeye chutho. Kamano otimore eka wanabed joma otegno chutho, kendo wanachop e rangʼiny mogik kuom Kristo.
14 that we may no longer be children, being tossed by waves and being carried around by every wind of the teaching, in the cunning of men, in craftiness, to the scheming of leading astray,
Koro ok wanachak wabed kaka nyithindo mayom yom, ma bagni koni gi koni nikech yamb puonj mayoreyore, ma dhano molal siekogo mondo giwuondwago kendo gigolwago oko e yie madiera.
15 and [speaking] truth in love, we may increase to Him [in] all things, who is the head—the Christ;
To wanasiki ka wawacho adiera e hera kendo ka wadongo e gik moko duto kuom Kristo ma en ewi ringruok.
16 from whom the whole body, being fitly joined together and united, through the supply of every joint, according to the working in the measure of each single part, the increase of the body makes for the building up of itself in love.
Kuome ema ringruok duto ochomore, leche omakore gi fuoni ka fuoni, kendo ka fuoni moro ka moro tiyo tichne kaka dwarore. Kuom mano ringruok dongo kendo gerore kuom hera.
17 This, then, I say, and I testify in the LORD: you are no longer to walk, as also the other nations walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Kuom mano, awachonu ka aramo kuom Ruoth, ni neuru ni ok uwuothi kaka jopiny makia Nyasaye wuotho ka pachgi modinore wuondogi.
18 being darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart,
Gin mudho odino pachgi, momiyo gipogore gi ngima mar Nyasaye nikech kia margi mawuok e chunygi.
19 who, having ceased to feel, gave themselves up to the licentiousness, for the working of all uncleanness in greediness;
Kaka parogi mar pogo ber gi rach osetho, koro giwere ni anjawo kod timbe duto ma ok ler ma gigombo timo.
20 and you did not so learn the Christ,
Un to, ne ok ungʼeyo Kristo e yo machal kamano.
21 if [it] so be [that] you heard Him, and were taught in Him, as truth is in Jesus;
Adier, ne uwinjo kuome, kendo ne opuonju wachne, kaluwore gadiera man kuom Yesu.
22 concerning the former behavior you are to put off the old man, that is corrupt according to the desires of the deceit,
Ne opuonju mondo uwe kit ngimau machon kendo ulony dhano machon makelo kethruok nikech gombo maricho mag wuond.
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Mano notimore mondo chunyu maiye mar parou oloki obed manyien,
24 and to put on the new man, which, according to God, was created in righteousness and kindness of the truth.
kendo mondo urwakru gi dhano manyien, mochwe mondo ochal gi Nyasaye kuom ngima makare mar adier kendo maler.
25 For this reason, putting away the lying, each speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members of one another;
Emomiyo, ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu nyaka we miriambo duto kendo wach adiera ne nyawadgi, nikech wan duto wan fuond ringruok achiel.
26 be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
“Kaponi iu owangʼ, to kik utim richo.” Kik uwe chiengʼ podhi ka pod un gi ich wangʼ
27 neither give place to the Devil;
kendo kik imi jachien thuolo mar loyi.
28 whoever is stealing let him no longer steal, but rather let him labor, working the thing that is good with the hands, that he may have to impart to him having need.
Ngʼato ma yande kwalo nyaka koro we kuo chuth, to nyaka oti tich gi lwete owuon mondo okonyrego kendo okony bende joma moko mochando.
29 Let no corrupt word go forth out of your mouth, but what is good to the necessary building up, that it may give grace to the hearers;
Kik uyie weche maricho wuogi e dhou, to mana weche mabeyo manyalo konyo kuom gero ji kaluwore gi dwarogi mondo wecheu okony joma winjo.
30 and do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in which you were sealed to [the] day of redemption.
Bende kik umi Roho Maler mar Nyasaye chuny lit nikech en ema Nyasaye osemiyougo kaka ranyisi ni noresu chiengʼ resruok.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice,
Weuru kecho gi mirima gi ich wangʼ gi gwandruok gi himruok gi ketho nying kod himruok duto.
32 and become kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, according as God also forgave you in Christ.
Beduru mangʼwon kendo gi kech ni joweteu, ka ngʼato ka ngʼato weyo ni nyawadgi richone, mana kaka un bende Nyasaye noweyonu richou kuom Kristo.
