< Ephesians 4 >
1 I, the prisoner of the LORD, then call on you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
Bara nanin meng fa, nafo kucin ncikilari ndin fo minu nachara, sun ucin imusun nllenge na yicila munu.
2 with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,
Nin toltinu liti ichang, Ayi ashew, iseru anit vat nin suu.
3 being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace;
Suing ille imon na iba suu vat inan iso ligawe nan nya nbolu Kutellẹ nin lisosin limang.
4 one body and one Spirit, according as you were also called in one hope of your calling;
Kidowo kirum, duku, infip milau mirum, nafo na iwa yicilla munu nin likara kibineyi nin tikibineyi nyicilu.
5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion,
Tidin cikilariuwa rum, uyinnu sa uyenu urum, usul sunu ulau urum,
6 one God and Father of all, who [is] over all, and through all, and in you all,
Kutellẹ kurum uchifing nvat, ame ulle na adi kitene vat, nan nya nvat a imon vat.
7 and to each one of you was given grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ,
8 for this reason, it says, “Having gone up on high He led captive captivity, and gave gifts to men.”
9 And that, He went up, what is it except that He also went down first into the lower parts of the earth?
Ulle ullire pa, “Awa ghana kitene kani,” din nnufi nworu, se akuru a pira nan nya nchachom kutina?
10 He who went down is the same who also went up far above all the heavens, that He may fill all things—
Ame ullenge na ana tolu nchanchom kitin amere ullenge na anakuru aghana kitene nitene anan kullo imon vat.
11 and He gave some [as] apostles, and some [as] prophets, and some [as] proclaimers of good news, and some [as] shepherds and teachers,
Yisa wasu nafilzinu filzinu fone: among nono kadura, anan nliru nin nnu Kutellẹ, anan nuchu nbellin uliru Kutellẹ, anan libiya, nin nan dursuzu.
12 to the perfecting of the holy ones, for a work of ministry, for a building up of the body of the Christ,
Bara inan kulo nanin nin nimon katah Kutellẹ bara kye kidowon Kristi.
13 until we may all come to the unity of faith and of the recognition of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a measure of stature of the fullness of the Christ,
Tiduru likulung nnit nafo allenge ikuno nin yiru ngono Kutellẹ.
14 that we may no longer be children, being tossed by waves and being carried around by every wind of the teaching, in the cunning of men, in craftiness, to the scheming of leading astray,
Udina ni natiwa libuung lisosin nafo nono. Allenge na ufunu din killu kiti nu ghinu anan yiru nbellu nliru nwultunu kiti.
15 and [speaking] truth in love, we may increase to Him [in] all things, who is the head—the Christ;
Tima bellu kidegen nan nya nsuu me, tinau kuno nan nya mme na amere liteh, amere Kristi.
16 from whom the whole body, being fitly joined together and united, through the supply of every joint, according to the working in the measure of each single part, the increase of the body makes for the building up of itself in love.
Ulle na nidowe nanan ndortine dofin kitine vat, nidowo mine munno tafat nan nati, naffo na kokome kubiri na ina fuloghe katane nan nya kitin nkunju kidowo, bare ukye nanit vat nan nya nsu.
17 This, then, I say, and I testify in the LORD: you are no longer to walk, as also the other nations walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Bara nanere imon ille nan belling munu, indin dursu minu nan nya ncikilari: na iwaa lawan ncine nafo awurme ba nan nya katah mine kalan.
18 being darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart,
Anan kpilizu nan nya nsirti. Alle na ina ina nutun nanin nan nya nlai kutellẹ bara utani ulle na udin nan nya mine nin gbas nibineyi mine.
19 who, having ceased to feel, gave themselves up to the licentiousness, for the working of all uncleanness in greediness;
Alle na itah gbas inani nnapka ati mine nan nya nimon izenzen nan nya nsuu nimon vat bara litime.
20 and you did not so learn the Christ,
Na nanere ina piziru uyinnu mbellen nKristi ba.
21 if [it] so be [that] you heard Him, and were taught in Him, as truth is in Jesus;
Andi ina lanza ikuru idursuzo minu ubelleng ise, nafo na kidegen di nan nya nKristi.
22 concerning the former behavior you are to put off the old man, that is corrupt according to the desires of the deceit,
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Bara inan so apese nan nya nfulu ulau nibineye mine.
24 and to put on the new man, which, according to God, was created in righteousness and kindness of the truth.
Shonon unit upese, ullenge na Kutellẹ. Nakye ghe libo nfiu Kutellẹ nin lau kidegen.
25 For this reason, putting away the lying, each speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members of one another;
Bara nani, sunan kinu belleng atti kidigen, arik tigap kidowo kirumari.
26 be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
Assa ayi nnana munu na iwa ti kulapi ba, “Na iwa yinin uwui diu a iyita nin tinana naye ba.”
27 neither give place to the Devil;
Bara iwa ni shitan ku kiti.
28 whoever is stealing let him no longer steal, but rather let him labor, working the thing that is good with the hands, that he may have to impart to him having need.
29 Let no corrupt word go forth out of your mouth, but what is good to the necessary building up, that it may give grace to the hearers;
Na uliru unanza nwa nuchu tinu mine ba, nworu nani, tigulang ticine to na tiba kye among alle na idin pizure, anan lanze nanse ubolu Kutellẹ.
30 and do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in which you were sealed to [the] day of redemption.
Na iwa lanza ufunu alau Kutellẹ ayi ba, ullenge na ina yaci minu ninge udu lirin tuchu.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice,
Nutunon vat ngbagbai nayi, tinan nayi tikhang, ughantizunu tiwui tinanza nin tizogo nutunong imon ine vat nin katahh kananzang.
32 and become kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, according as God also forgave you in Christ.
