Ephesians 3
1 For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
Derhalben ich, Paulus, der Gefangene Christi Jesu für euch Heiden,
2 if, indeed, you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
nachdem ihr gehöret habt von dem Amt der Gnade Gottes, die mir an euch gegeben ist,
3 that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words]—
daß mir ist kund worden dieses Geheimnis durch Offenbarung, wie ich droben aufs kürzeste geschrieben habe,
4 in regard to which you are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
daran ihr, so ihr's leset, merken könnet meinen Verstand an dem Geheimnis Christi,
5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit—
welches nicht kundgetan ist in den vorigen Zeiten den Menschenkindern, als es nun offenbart ist seinen heiligen Aposteln und Propheten durch den Geist,
6 that the nations are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
nämlich daß die Heiden Miterben seien und mit eingeleibet und Mitgenossen seiner Verheißung in Christo durch das Evangelium,
7 of which I became a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
des ich ein Diener worden bin nach der Gabe aus der Gnade Gottes, die mir nach seiner mächtigen Kraft gegeben ist:
8 to me—the less than the least of all the holy ones—was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news—the untraceable riches of the Christ,
mir, dem allergeringsten unter allen Heiligen, ist gegeben diese Gnade, unter den Heiden zu verkündigen den unausforschlichen Reichtum Christi
9 and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
und zu erleuchten jedermann, welche da sei die Gemeinschaft des Geheimnisses, das von der Welt her in Gott verborgen gewesen ist, der alle Dinge geschaffen hat durch Jesum Christum, (aiōn g165)
10 that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the Assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
auf daß jetzt kund würde den Fürstentümern und HERRSChaften in dem Himmel an der Gemeinde die mannigfaltige Weisheit Gottes
nach dem Vorsatz von der Welt her, welche er beweiset hat in Christo Jesu, unserm HERRN, (aiōn g165)
12 in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him,
durch welchen wir haben Freudigkeit und Zugang in aller Zuversicht durch den Glauben an ihn.
13 for this reason, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Darum bitte ich, daß ihr nicht müde werdet um meiner Trübsal willen, die ich für euch leide, welche euch eine Ehre sind.
14 For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Derhalben beuge ich meine Kniee gegen den Vater unsers HERRN Jesu Christi,
15 of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
der der rechte Vater ist über alles, was da Kinder heißt im Himmel und auf Erden,
16 that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened through His Spirit with might, in regard to the inner man,
daß er euch Kraft gebe nach dem Reichtum seiner HERRLIchkeit, stark zu werden durch seinen Geist an dem inwendigen Menschen,
17 that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
und Christum zu wohnen durch den Glauben in euren Herzen, und durch die Liebe eingewurzelt und gegründet zu werden,
18 that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the holy ones, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
auf daß ihr begreifen möget mit allen Heiligen, welches da sei die Breite und die Länge und die Tiefe und die Höhe,
19 to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
auch erkennen, daß Christum liebhaben viel besser ist denn alles Wissen, auf daß ihr erfüllet werdet mit allerlei Gottesfülle.
20 and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
Dem aber, der überschwenglich tun kann über alles, was wir bitten oder verstehen, nach der Kraft, die da in uns wirket,
