Ephesians 2
1 Also you—being dead in trespasses and sins,
Ustedes estaban muertos en sus transgresiones y pecados,
2 in which you once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
en los cuales vivieron en otro tiempo según la conducta de este mundo, conforme al príncipe de la jurisdicción del aire, el espíritu que ahora obra en los hijos de la desobediencia. (aiōn g165)
3 among whom we also all walked once in the desires of our flesh, doing the wishes of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath—as also the others,
Entre ellos también todos nosotros en otro tiempo fuimos llevados de acá para allá por los deseos apasionados de nuestra naturaleza humana. Hacíamos la voluntad del cuerpo y de la mente. Éramos por naturaleza hijos de ira, como los demás.
4 but God, being rich in kindness, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Pero Dios, Quien es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con el cual nos amó
5 even being dead in the trespasses, made us alive together with the Christ (by grace you are saved),
cuando nosotros aún estábamos muertos en las transgresiones, [nos] dio vida juntamente con Cristo. Por gracia son salvos.
6 and raised [us] up together, and sat [us] together in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus,
En los [planes] celestiales [nos] resucitó y [nos] sentó con Cristo Jesús,
7 that He might show, in the ages that are coming, the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus, (aiōn g165)
para mostrar en los siglos que vienen la superabundante riqueza de su gracia, por bondad hacia nosotros en Cristo Jesús. (aiōn g165)
8 for by grace you are saved, through faith, and this [is] not of yourselves—[it is] the gift of God,
Por gracia son salvos por medio de [la ]fe. Esto no es de ustedes. Es el regalo de Dios.
9 not of works, that no one may boast;
No es por obras, para que nadie [se] enaltezca.
10 for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus on good works, which God prepared before, that we may walk in them.
Porque somos hechura de Él, creados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó con anticipación para que vivamos en ellas.
11 For this reason, remember, that you [were] once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,
Por tanto recuerden que en otro tiempo, ustedes, los gentiles en [el ]cuerpo, los que son llamados [la ]incircuncisión por los circuncidados por manos en [el ]cuerpo,
12 that you were at that time apart from Christ, having been alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope, and without God in the world;
que en aquel tiempo estaban sin Cristo, excluidos de la ciudadanía de Israel y extraños a los Pactos de la promesa. No tenían esperanza ni Dios en el mundo.
13 but now, in Christ Jesus, you being once far off became near in the blood of the Christ,
Pero ahora en Cristo Jesús, ustedes, los que en otro tiempo estaban lejos, fueron acercados por la sangre de Cristo.
14 for He is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of the partition of hostility,
Porque Él mismo es nuestra paz, el que derribó la enemistad, la barrera intermedia de separación, y de ambos hizo uno.
15 the enmity in His flesh, having done away [with] the Law of the commands in ordinances, that He might create the two into one new man in Himself, making peace,
Él abolió en su cuerpo la Ley de los Mandamientos [dados] en Ordenanzas para crear de los dos un solo ser nuevo en Él mismo. Así proclamó [la ]paz,
16 and might reconcile both in one body to God through the Cross, having slain the enmity by it,
reconcilió con Dios a ambos en un solo cuerpo por medio de la cruz y en ella mató la enemistad.
17 and having come, He proclaimed good news—peace to you—the far-off and the near,
Vino y anunció [la ]Buena Noticia: paz a ustedes los que estaban lejos y paz a los que estaban cerca.
18 because through Him we have the access—we both—in one Spirit to the Father.
Porque por [el] mismo Espíritu ambos [pueblos ]tenemos el acceso al Padre por medio de Él.
19 Then, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the holy ones, and of the household of God,
En consecuencia, ya no son extraños y forasteros, sino son conciudadanos con los santos y miembros de la familia de Dios.
20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being chief corner-[stone],
Son edificados sobre el fundamento de los apóstoles y profetas, cuya Piedra Angular es el mismo Cristo Jesús.
21 in whom all the building fitly framed together increases to a holy temple in the LORD,
En Él todo [el] edificio está ensamblado y crece hasta ser [el] Templo Santo en [el] Señor,
22 in whom you also are built together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
en el cual también ustedes son juntamente edificados para morada de Dios en Espíritu.
