< Ecclesiastes 5 >
1 Keep your feet when you go to a house of God, and draw near to hear rather than to give of fools the sacrifice, for they do not know they do evil.
Tandremo ny tongotrao, raha mankao an-tranon’ Andriamanitra ianao; fa ny manatona hihaino no tsara noho ny fanateran’ ny adala fanatitra; fa tsy fantatr’ ireny ho manao ratsy izy.
2 Do not cause your mouth to hurry, and do not let your heart hurry to bring out a word before God, for God is in the heavens, and you on the earth, therefore let your words be few.
Aza haingam-bava, ary aza malaky manonona teny eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra ny fonao; fa Andriamanitra dia any an-danitra ary ianao etỳ an-tany, koa aoka ho vitsy ny teninao.
3 For the dream has come by abundance of business, and the voice of a fool by abundance of words.
Fa ny haben’ ny fisasarana no mahatonga ny nofy; ary ny haben’ ny teny no isehoan’ ny rediredin’ ny adala.
4 When you vow a vow to God, do not delay to complete it, for there is no pleasure in fools; that which you vow—complete.
Raha mivoady amin’ Andriamanitra ianao, aza manao ampitso lava: fa tsy ankasitrahany ny adala; koa efao ny voadinao.
5 Better that you do not vow, than that you vow and do not complete.
Aleo tsy mivoady toy izay mivoady ka tsy mahefa.
6 Do not permit your mouth to cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger that it [is] ignorance. Why is God angry because of your voice and has destroyed the work of your hands?
Aza avela hahatonga heloka amin’ ny tenanao ny vavanao; ary aza manao eo imason’ ny anjely hoe: Niteny tsy nahy aho; nahoana no ho tezitra amin’ ny teninao Andriamanitra ka hanimba ny asan’ ny tananao?
7 For in the abundance of dreams both vanities and words abound; but fear God.
Fa amin’ ny haben’ ny nofy dia misy zava-poana; ary toy izany koa ny haben’ ny teny, fa Andriamanitra no atahory.
8 If oppression of the poor, and violent taking away of judgment and righteousness you see in a province, do not marvel at the matter, for a higher than the high is observing, and high ones [are] over them.
Raha hitanao ny fampahoriana ny malahelo sy ny famadihana ny fitsarana sy ny rariny amin’ ny tany, dia aza gaga amin’ izany; fa misy ambony kokoa mibanjina ny ambony, ary mbola misy ambony noho ireo indray aza.
9 And the abundance of a land is for all. A king for a field is served.
Fa na dia izany rehetra izany aza, dia mahasoa ny tany ny fisian’ ny mpanjaka amin’ izay tany volena.
10 Whoever is loving silver is not satisfied [with] silver, nor he who is in love with stores [with] increase. Even this [is] vanity.
Izay tia vola tsy hety ho voky vola; ary izay fatra-pitia harena be tsy hety ho vokin’ ny fitomboan-karena; fa zava-poana koa izany.
11 In the multiplying of good have its consumers been multiplied, and what benefit [is] to its possessor except the sight of his eyes?
Raha mitombo ny fananana, dia mitombo koa ny mpihinana azy; ary inona no soa azon’ ny tompony, afa-tsy ny mijery maso azy fotsiny ihany?
12 Sweet [is] the sleep of the laborer whether he eat little or much; and the sufficiency of the wealthy is not permitting him to sleep.
Mamy ny torimason’ ny mpiasa, na homan-kely na homam-be izy; fa ny haben’ ny ananan’ ny manan-karena kosa no tsy ahitany tory.
13 There is a painful evil I have seen under the sun: wealth kept for its possessor, for his evil.
Misy ratsy mahory efa hitako atỳ ambanin’ ny masoandro, dia harena tehirizin’ ny tompony, nefa mampidi-doza amin’ ny tenany;
14 And that wealth has been lost in an evil business, and he has begotten a son and there is nothing in his hand!
sady levona izany harena izany noho ny loza manjo; ary miteraka zazalahy ralehilahy nefa tsy misy na inona na inona eny an-tànany,
15 As he came out from the belly of his mother, naked he turns back to go as he came, and he does not take away anything of his labor, that goes in his hand.
Toy ny nivoahany mitanjaka avy tany an-kibon-dreniny, dia toy izay nihaviany ihany no hiverenany; ary tsy hisy na inona na inona ho entin’ ny tànany ho valin’ ny fisasarany.
16 And this also [is] a painful evil, just as he came, so he goes, and what advantage [is] to him who labors for wind?
Dia ratsy mahory koa izany, fa toy izay nihaviany indrindra no handehanany; ary inona no soa azony noho ny nisasarany ho an’ ny rivotra?
17 He also consumes all his days in darkness, and sadness, and wrath, and sickness abound.
Ary koa, homa-maizina amin’ ny androny rehetra izy sady manana alahelo be sy fahoriana ary fahasosorana.
18 Behold, that which I have seen: [It is] good, because beautiful, to eat, and to drink, and to see good in all one’s labor that he labors at under the sun, the number of the days of his life that God has given to him, for it [is] his portion.
Indro, efa hitako izay soa sy izay tsara, dia ny mihinana sy misotro ary mifaly amin’ ny fisasarana rehetra izay isasaran’ ny olona atỳ ambanin’ ny masoandro amin’ izay andro vitsy iainany omen’ Andriamanitra azy; fa izany no anjarany.
19 Every man also to whom God has given wealth and riches, and has given him power to eat of it, and to accept his portion, and to rejoice in his labor, this is a gift of God.
Ary koa, ny olona rehetra izay omen’ Andriamanitra vola aman-karena sady omeny fahefana hihinanany azy sy hahazoany ny anjarany sy hifaliany amin’ ny fisasarana, dia fanomezan’ Andriamanitra izany.
20 For he does not much remember the days of his life, for God is answering through the joy of his heart.
Fa tsy hahatsiaro loatra ny andro niainany izy, satria ny fahafinaretan’ ny fony no avalin’ Andriamanitra azy.
