< Deuteronomy 6 >
1 “And this [is] the command, the statutes and the judgments which your God YHWH has commanded to teach you to do in the land which you are passing over there to possess it,

2 so that you fear your God YHWH, to keep all His statutes and His commands which I am commanding you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all [the] days of your life, and so that your days are prolonged.
Te dongah na BOEIPA Pathen te na rhih tih a khosing neh a olpaek boeih te namah neh na ca long khaw, na ca kah a ca long khaw, na hing tue khuiah ngaithuen sak ham ni kai loh nang kang uen. Te daengah ni na hinglung a vang eh.
3 And you have heard, O Israel, and observed to do [them], that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply exceedingly, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you, [in] the land flowing with milk and honey.
Aw Israel na yaak van coeng dongah na ngai ham te ngaithuen lah. Te long ni nang te khophoeng m'pha sak vetih na pa rhoek kah BOEIPA Pathen loh nang taengah a thui vanbangla suktui neh khoitui aka long khohmuen ah muep na ping eh.
4 Hear, O Israel: Our God YHWH—YHWH [is] one!
Israel aw hnatun lah BOEIPA pakhat bueng ni mamih kah BOEIPA Pathen la aka om.
5 And you have loved your God YHWH with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
Na BOEIPA Pathen te na thinko boeih, na hinglu boeih, na cungkuem boeih neh lungnah lah.
6 And these words which I am commanding you today have been on your heart,
Tihnin ah kai loh nang kang uen olka he nang kah thinko ah rhaehrhong lah saeh.
7 and you have repeated them to your sons, and spoken of them in your sitting in your house, and in your walking in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up,
Na ca rhoek pum dongah pak pah lamtah na im ah na ngol vaengah khaw, long na caeh vaengah khaw, na yalh vaengah khaw, na thoh vaengah khaw thui pah.
8 and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes,
Na kut ah miknoek la cin pah lamtah na mikhmuh ah samtoelrhui bangla om saeh.
9 and you have written them on doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Na im rhungsut neh na vongka dongah khaw daek pah.
10 And it has been, when your God YHWH brings you into the land which He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to you great and good cities which you have not built,
“Tedae nang taengah paek ham na pa rhoek Abraham, Isaak neh Jakob taengah a caeng tangtae na thoong mueh khopuei dangka neh aka then,
11 and houses full of all good things which you have not filled, and wells dug which you have not dug, vineyards and olive-yards which you have not planted, that you have eaten and been satisfied.
na sang pawt dae thennah cungkuem neh aka khawk im la, na vuet pawt dae a vueh tangtae tuito la, misur neh olive khaw na tue pawt dae na caak tih na hah nah khohmuen ah nang aka thak la na BOEIPA Pathen te om bitni.
12 Take heed to yourself lest you forget YHWH who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.
Namah te ngaithuen, Egypt kho lamkah sal imkhui lamloh nang aka khuen BOEIPA te na hnilh ve.
13 You fear your God YHWH, and you serve Him, and you swear by His Name.
Na BOEIPA Pathen te rhih lah. Amah taengah tho na thueng phoeiah ni a ming nen khaw na toemngam eh.
14 You do not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who [are] around you,
Na kaepvai pilnam rhoek kah pathen, hlangtloe pathen hnukah cet boeh.
15 for your God YHWH [is] a zealous God in your midst—lest the anger of your God YHWH burns against you, and He has destroyed you from off the face of the ground.
Na khui kah na Pathen BOEIPA tah thatlai Pathen ni. Na BOEIPA Pathen kah a thintoek he nang taengah ha sai vetih nang te diklai maelhmai dong lamloh m'mit sak ve.
16 You do not try your God YHWH as you tried [Him] in Massah.
Massah ah na noemcai uh bangla na BOEIPA Pathen te noemcai uh boeh.
17 You diligently keep the commands of your God YHWH, and His testimonies and His statutes which He has commanded you,
Na BOEIPA Pathen kah olpaek khaw, a olphong neh a oltlueh nang n'uen te khaw ngaithuen rhoela ngaithuen.
18 and you have done that which is right and good in the eyes of YHWH, so that it is well with you, and you have gone in and possessed the good land which YHWH has sworn to your fathers,
BOEIPA mikhmuh ah a thuem neh a then la saii. Te daengah ni nang te khophoeng m'pha sak phoeiah na pa rhoek taengah BOEIPA loh a caeng khohmuen then te na paan vetih na pang eh.
19 to drive away all your enemies from your presence, as YHWH has spoken.
BOEIPA loh a thui vanbangla na thunkha boeih te na mikhmuh lamloh a thaek ni.”
20 When your son asks you hereafter, saying, What [are] the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments which our God YHWH has commanded you?
“Thangvuen ah na ca loh nang n'dawt tih, ‘Mamih BOEIPA Pathen kah olphong, oltlueh neh laitloeknah te balae,’ a ti ni.
21 Then you have said to your son, We have been servants of Pharaoh in Egypt, and YHWH brings us out of Egypt by a high hand;
Na ca taengah, Egypt ah Pharaoh sal la n'om uh vaengah BOEIPA loh tlungluen kut neh Egypt lamkah mamih n'doek.
22 and YHWH gives signs and wonders, great and severe, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
BOEIPA loh mamih mikhmuh ah Egypt soah, Pharaoh neh a imkhui boeih soah miknoek neh kopoekrhai a len koek neh yoethae te a paek.
23 and He has brought us out from there, in order to bring us in, to give to us the land which He had sworn to our fathers.
Tedae mamih tah a pa rhoek taengah a caeng sut khohmuen te mamih taengah paek ham ni te lamloh n'loh tih n'khuen.
24 And YHWH commands us to do all these statutes, to fear our God YHWH, for good to ourselves [for] all the days, to keep us alive, as [at] this day;
Tihnin kah bangla mamih aka hing sak ham mamih ham khohnin takuem a then dongah mamih kah BOEIPA Pathen rhih ham neh he rhoek kah oltlueh boeih he vai sak ham BOEIPA loh mamih n'uen coeng.
25 and it is righteousness for us when we observe to do all this command before our God YHWH, as He has commanded us.”
Mamih n'uen vanbangla tahae kah olpaek boeih he mamih kah BOEIPA Pathen mikhmuh ah vai ham n'ngaithuen uh atah mamih ham duengnah la om van ni.”
