Deuteronomy 34
1 And Moses goes up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which [is] on the front of Jericho, and YHWH shows him all the land—Gilead to Dan,
UMosi wasekhwela eNtabeni yaseNebho evelela emagcekeni eMowabi esiya phezu kwePhisiga, ngaphetsheya malungana leJerikho. Kukhonale uThixo amtshengisa khona ilizwe lonke, kusukela eGiliyadi kusiya kwelikaDani,
2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah to the Western Sea,
lonke elikaNafithali, ilizwe lika-Efrayimi lelikaManase, lonke ilizwe likaJuda kusiyafika olwandle olungentshonalanga,
3 and the south, and the circuit of the Valley of Jericho, the city of palms, to Zoar.
iNegebi kanye lomhlaba wonke osuka eSigodini seJerikho, iDolobho laMalala, kusiya kude khonale eZowari.
4 And YHWH says to him, “This [is] the land which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I give it to your seed; I have caused you to see with your eyes, but you do not pass over there.”
Ngakho uThixo wathi kuye, “Leli yilo ilizwe engathembisa ngesifungo u-Abhrahama, u-Isaka loJakhobe, lapho engathi khona, ‘Ngizalinika izizukulwane zenu.’ Ngikuvumele ukuthi ulibone ngawakho amehlo, kodwa awusoze uchaphele kulo.”
5 And Moses, servant of the Lord, dies there in the land of Moab, according to the command of YHWH;
Ngakho uMosi inceku kaThixo wafela khonapho kwelamaMowabi, njengokwakutshiwo nguThixo.
6 and He buries him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-Peor, and no man has known his burying place to this day.
Wamngcwaba eMowabi, esigodini esikhangelene leBhethi-Pheyori, kodwa kuze kube lamuhla lokhu kakho loyedwa olaziyo ingcwaba lakhe.
7 And Moses [is] a son of one hundred and twenty years when he dies; his eye has not become dim, nor has his moisture fled.
UMosi wayeseleminyaka elikhulu lamatshumi amabili ekufeni kwakhe, ikanti amehlo akhe ayesabona kuhle njalo engakaphelelwa ngamandla.
8 And the sons of Israel lament Moses in the plains of Moab [for] thirty days; and the days of weeping [and] mourning for Moses are completed.
Abako-Israyeli bamlilela uMosi emagcekeni aseMowabi okwensuku ezingamatshumi amathathu, kwaze kwedlula insuku zokukhala lokulila.
9 And Joshua son of Nun is full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him, and the sons of Israel listen to him, and do as YHWH commanded Moses.
UJoshuwa indodana kaNuni wayegcwele umoya wokuhlakanipha ngoba uMosi wayembeke izandla. Ngakho abako-Israyeli bamlalela njalo benza lokho uThixo ayekulaye uMosi.
10 And there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses anymore, whom YHWH has known face to face,
Kusukela lapho, kakukabi lomunye njalo umphrofethi ko-Israyeli onjengoMosi, owayesaziwa nguThixo ubuso ngobuso,
11 in reference to all the signs and the wonders which YHWH sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
owenza zonke lezozimanga lezibonakaliso ayethunywe nguThixo ukuba ayezenza eGibhithe, kuFaro lakuzo zonke izikhulu zakhe lakulo lonke ilizwe lakhe.
12 and in reference to all the strong hand and to all the great fear which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel.
Ngoba kakho oyake atshengisele amandla amakhulu kangako loba ukwenza izenzo ezesabekayo uMosi azenzayo emehlweni abo bonke abako-Israyeli.
