< Deuteronomy 29 >

1 These [are] the words of the covenant which YHWH has commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, apart from the covenant which He made with them in Horeb.
Te hae kah he Moab kho ah Israel ca rhoek neh moi a boh vaengah tahae kah olka he BOEIPA loh Moses a uen tih Horeb ah khaw amih taengah moi a boh thil bal.
2 And Moses calls to all Israel and says to them, “You have seen all that which YHWH has done before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land—
Te vaengah Israel pum te Moses loh a hueh tih, “BOEIPA loh na mikhmuh ah Egypt kho kah Pharaoh neh a sal rhoek boeih, a diklai boeih a saii te boeih na hmuh uh.
3 the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders.
Noemcainah a len len neh kopoekrhai a len len te na mik loh miknoek la a hmuh coeng.
4 And YHWH has not given to you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, until this day.
Tedae ming thai ham lungbuei, hmuh thainah ham mik, yaak thainah ham nah hna khaw tihnin duela BOEIPA loh nangmih m'pae pawt nim?
5 And I cause you to go in a wilderness [for] forty years; your garments have not been consumed from off you, and your shoe has not worn away from off your foot;
Nangmih te khosoek ah kum likip kam mawt tih na pum dongkah na himbai loh hmawn pawh. Na kho dongkah na khokhom khaw hmawn pawh.
6 you have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine and strong drink, so that you know that I [am] your God YHWH.
Buh na ca uh pawt tih misurtui neh yu na ok uh pawt daengah kai he BOEIPA na Pathen la nan ming uh.
7 And you come to this place, and Sihon king of Heshbon—also Og king of Bashan—comes out to meet us to battle, and we strike them,
Hekah hmuen na pha uh vaengah caemtloek neh mamih doe hamla Heshbon manghai Sihon neh Bashan manghai Oga ha pawk tih amih rhoi te n'tloek uh.
8 and take their land, and give it for an inheritance to the Reubenite, and to the Gadite, and to the half of the tribe of the Manassite;
Amih khohmuen te n'loh uh tih Reuben koca, Gad koca neh Manasseh koca hlangvang taengah rho la m'paek uh.
9 and you have kept the words of this covenant and done them, so that you cause all that you do to prosper.
Te dongah paipi ol he ngaithuen uh lamtah vai uh. Te daengah ni na saii boeih te na cangbam uh thai eh.
10 You are standing today, all of you, before your God YHWH: your heads, your tribes, your elderly, and your authorities, every man of Israel,
Tihnin ah na Pathen BOEIPA mikhmuh kah aka pai nangmih boeih khaw, na boeilu rhoek khaw, namah koca rhoek khaw, nangmih a hamca rhoek neh Israel hlang khaw,
11 your infants, your wives, and your sojourner who [is] in the midst of your camps, from the hewer of your wood to the drawer of your water,
na yuu na ca neh na rhaehhmuen khuiah na thing aka top tih na tui aka than yinlai khaw,
12 for your passing over into the covenant of your God YHWH, and into His oath which your God YHWH is making with you today,
BOEIPA na Pathen kah paipi neh tihnin ah BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang taengah a saii a olcaeng khuila kun puei laeh.
13 in order to establish you to Himself for a people today, and He Himself is your God, as He has spoken to you, and as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Tihnin ah nang te amah kah pilnam la pai sak vetih namah taeng neh na pa rhoek Abraham, Isaak, Jakob taengkah a toemngam tih a thui vanbangla na Pathen la ha om ni.
14 And I am not making this covenant and this oath with you alone,
Tahae kah paipi neh olcaeng he namah neh namah loh na saii pawt tih kamah long ni ka saii.
15 but with him who is here with us, standing before our God YHWH today, and with him who is not here with us today,
Tihnin kah BOEIPA Pathen mikhmuh kah aka pai mamih taengah aka om neh tihnin kah mamih taengah aka om pawt rhoek taengah khaw a saii.”
16 for you have known how you dwelt in the land of Egypt, and how we passed by through the midst of the nations which you have passed by;
Egypt kho ah metla ng'om tih namtom lakli ah na caeh uh vaengah metla na caeh uh khaw namamih loh na ming uh.
17 and you see their abominations, and their idols of wood and stone, silver and gold, which [are] with them,
Amih taengkah a sarhingkoi la thingngo, lungto, sui neh ngun mueirhol te na hmuh uh.
18 lest there be among you a man or woman, or family or tribe, whose heart is turning from our God YHWH today, to go to serve the gods of those nations, lest there be in you a root bearing the fruit of gall and wormwood;
Mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA taeng lamloh a thinko aka maelh tih namtom pathen taengah thothueng hamla aka cet huta, tongpa khaw, huiko neh, pilnam koca he tihnin kah nangmih khuiah om ve. Anrhat neh pantong yung aka pungtai loh nangmih taengah om ve.
19 and it has been, in his hearing the words of this oath, that he has blessed himself in his heart, saying, I have peace, though I go on in the stubbornness of my heart—in order to sweep away the watered with the thirsty.
Te dongah tahae kah thaephoei ol a yaak vaengah a thinko khuiah yoethen pae uh vetih, “Ka lungbuei thinthahnah ah ka pongpa daengah ni khosul tuihalh neh ka khoengvoep vetih kai ham ngaimongnah a om eh,” ti ve.
20 YHWH is not willing to be propitious to him, for then the anger of YHWH smokes, also His zeal, against that man, and all the oath which is written in this scroll has lain down on him, and YHWH has blotted out his name from under the heavens,
BOEIPA loh anih te khodawkngai ham a ngaih moenih. BOEIPA kah thintoek neh amah hlang taengkah a thatlainah tah khuu yoeyah ni. Te dongah he cabu dongkah a daek thaephoeinah boeih he anih soah kol ni. Te vaengah BOEIPA loh anih ming te vaan hmui lamloh a phae ni.
21 and YHWH has separated him for calamity out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the oaths of the covenant which is written in this Scroll of the Law.
Te dongah tahae kah olkhueng cabu khuiah a daek thaephoeinah paipi cungkuem van bangla Israel koca boeih khui kah khaw BOEIPA loh yoethaenah la a boe ni.
22 And the latter generation of your sons who rise after you, and the stranger who comes in from a far-off land, have said, when they have seen the strokes of that land and its sicknesses which YHWH has sent into it:
Te vaengah nangmih hnuk lamkah aka thoo na ca rhoek, lamhnuk kah cadilcahma neh kho hla lamkah aka pai kholong long khaw thui saeh. He khohmuen kah hmasoe neh BOEIPA loh anih soah a tloh sak a tlohtat te hmu uh saeh.
23 The whole land is burned [with] brimstone and salt, it is not sown, nor does it shoot up, nor does any herb go up on it there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim, which YHWH overturned in His anger and in His fury.
Kat neh lungkaeh khohmuen ungkhang boeih he tawn uh pawt vetih baelhing loh pakhat khaw a daih mueh la poe mahpawt. Sodom neh Gomorrah imrhong bangla Admah neh Zeboim khaw BOEIPA loh amah kah kosi thintoek neh a palet ni.
24 Indeed, all the nations have said, Why has YHWH done thus to this land? Why the heat of this great anger?
Te vaengah namtom rhoek loh, “Balae tih khohmuen he BOEIPA loh thintoek thinling neh boeih a saii aih,” a ti uh ni.
25 And they have said, Because that they have forsaken the covenant of YHWH, God of their fathers, which He made with them in His bringing them out of the land of Egypt,
Tedae, “Egypt kho lamkah amih hang khuen vaengah a napa rhoek kah BOEIPA Pathen loh amih neh a saii paipi te a hnoo uh dongah ni te,” a ti uh ni.
26 and they go and serve other gods, and bow themselves to them—gods which they have not known, and which He has not apportioned to them;
Cet uh tih pathen tloe taengah tho a thueng uh dongah amih taengah bakop uh. Te pathen rhoek loh amih te ming uh pawt tih amih ham boe a soep moenih.
27 and the anger of YHWH burns against that land, to bring in on it all the reviling that is written in this scroll,
Te dongah cabu dongkah a daek rhunkhuennah boeih he khuen thil ham BOEIPA kah thintoek tah khohmuen taengah sai coeng.
28 and YHWH plucks them from off their ground in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath, and casts them into another land, as [at] this day.
BOEIPA loh amih te khohmuen khui lamkah thintoek kosi thinhul bat la a phuk vetih kho tloe ah tihnin kah bangla a voeih ni.
29 The things hidden [belong] to our God YHWH, and the things revealed [belong] to us and to our sons for all time, to do all the words of this law.”
Mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA taengah thuh cakhaw kumhal duela vai ham olkhueng ol boeih he mamih taeng neh mamih kah n'ca rhoek taengah ha phoe coeng.
