< Deuteronomy 27 >
1 And Moses and [the] elderly of Israel command the people, saying, “Keep all the command which I am commanding you today;
2 and it has been, in the day that you pass over the Jordan to the land which your God YHWH is giving to you, that you have raised up great stones for yourself, and plastered them with plaster,
3 and written on them all the words of this law in your passing over, so that you go into the land which your God YHWH is giving to you—a land flowing with milk and honey, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you.
4 And it has been, in your passing over the Jordan, you raise up these stones which I am commanding you today, in Mount Ebal, and you have plastered them with plaster,
5 and built an altar there to your God YHWH, an altar of stones; you do not wave iron over them.
Tam boš zgradil oltar Gospodu, svojemu Bogu, oltar iz kamnov. Nobenega železnega orodja ne boš dvignil nadnje.
6 You build the altar of your God YHWH [with] complete stones, and have caused burnt-offerings to ascend on it to your God YHWH,
Iz celih kamnov boš zgradil oltar Gospodu, svojemu Bogu in na njem boš daroval žgalne daritve Gospodu, svojemu Bogu.
7 and sacrificed peace-offerings, and eaten there, and rejoiced before your God YHWH,
Daroval boš mirovne daritve in tam boš jedel in se veselil pred Gospodom, svojim Bogom.
8 and written on the stones all the words of this law, well engraved.”
9 And Moses speaks—the priests, the Levites, also—to all Israel, saying, “Keep silent and hear, O Israel: This day you have become a people for your God YHWH;
Mojzes in duhovniki, Lévijevci, so vsemu Izraelu spregovorili, rekoč: »Pazi in prisluhni, oh Izrael. Ta dan si postal ljudstvo Gospoda, svojega Boga.
10 and you have listened to the voice of your God YHWH, and done His commands and His statutes which I am commanding you today.”
Ubogal boš torej glas Gospoda, svojega Boga in izvrševal njegove zapovedi in njegove zakone, ki ti jih ta dan zapovedujem.«
11 And Moses commands the people on that day, saying,
12 “These stand on Mount Gerizzim to bless the people, in your passing over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
»Ti bodo stali na gori Garizím, da blagoslovijo ljudstvo, ko pridete čez Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isahár, Jožef in Benjamin.
13 And these stand, for the reviling, on Mount Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.”
In ti bodo stali na gori Ebál, da preklinjajo: Ruben, Gad, Aser, Zábulon, Dan in Neftáli.
