< Deuteronomy 27 >
1 And Moses and [the] elderly of Israel command the people, saying, “Keep all the command which I am commanding you today;

2 and it has been, in the day that you pass over the Jordan to the land which your God YHWH is giving to you, that you have raised up great stones for yourself, and plastered them with plaster,
Kuzakuthi-ke mhla lichapha iJordani lisiya elizweni iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho ekunika lona, uzazimisela amatshe amakhulu, uwahuqe ngekalaga,
3 and written on them all the words of this law in your passing over, so that you go into the land which your God YHWH is giving to you—a land flowing with milk and honey, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you.
ubhale kuwo wonke amazwi alumlayo nxa usuchaphile, ukuze ungene elizweni iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho ekunika lona, ilizwe eligeleza uchago loluju, njengalokho iNkosi uNkulunkulu waboyihlo ikhulumile kuwe.
4 And it has been, in your passing over the Jordan, you raise up these stones which I am commanding you today, in Mount Ebal, and you have plastered them with plaster,
Kuzakuthi-ke selichaphile iJordani, limise lamatshe engililaya ngawo lamuhla, entabeni yeEbhali, liwahuqe ngekalaga.
5 and built an altar there to your God YHWH, an altar of stones; you do not wave iron over them.
Wakhele khona iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho ilathi, ilathi lamatshe. Ungasebenzisi insimbi phezu kwawo.
6 You build the altar of your God YHWH [with] complete stones, and have caused burnt-offerings to ascend on it to your God YHWH,
Wakhele iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho ilathi ngamatshe apheleleyo. Unikele phezu kwalo iminikelo yokutshiswa eNkosini uNkulunkulu wakho,
7 and sacrificed peace-offerings, and eaten there, and rejoiced before your God YHWH,
uhlabe iminikelo yokuthula, udle lapho, uthokoze phambi kweNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho.
8 and written on the stones all the words of this law, well engraved.”
Futhi ubhale phezu kwamatshe wonke amazwi alumlayo, kukhanye kuhle.
9 And Moses speaks—the priests, the Levites, also—to all Israel, saying, “Keep silent and hear, O Israel: This day you have become a people for your God YHWH;
UMozisi labapristi abangamaLevi basebekhuluma kuIsrayeli wonke besithi: Thula ulalele, Israyeli; lamuhla usuyisizwe seNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho.
10 and you have listened to the voice of your God YHWH, and done His commands and His statutes which I am commanding you today.”
Ngakho uzalalela ilizwi leNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho, wenze imilayo yayo lezimiso zayo engikulaya zona lamuhla.
11 And Moses commands the people on that day, saying,
UMozisi wasebalaya abantu ngalolosuku esithi:
12 “These stand on Mount Gerizzim to bless the people, in your passing over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
Laba bazakuma entabeni yeGerizimi ukubusisa abantu nxa selichaphe iJordani: OSimeyoni, loLevi, loJuda, loIsakari, loJosefa, loBhenjamini.
13 And these stand, for the reviling, on Mount Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.”
Lalaba bazakuma entabeni yeEbhali phezu kwesiqalekiso: ORubeni, uGadi, loAsheri, loZebuluni, uDani, loNafithali.
14 And the Levites have answered and said to every man of Israel [with] a loud voice:
LamaLevi azaphendula athi kuwo wonke amadoda akoIsrayeli ngelizwi eliphakemeyo:
15 “Cursed [is] the man who makes a carved and molten image, an abomination [to] YHWH, work of the hands of a craftsman, and has put [it] in a secret place.” And all the people have answered and said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe umuntu owenza isithombe esibaziweyo lesibunjwe ngokuncibilikisa, isinengiso eNkosini, umsebenzi wezandla zomuntu oyingcitshi, asibeke ensitha. Labo bonke abantu bazaphendula bathi: Ameni.
16 “Cursed [is] he who is making light of his father and his mother.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe odelela uyise lonina. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
17 “Cursed [is] he who is removing his neighbor’s border.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe otshedisa isikhonkwane somngcele kamakhelwane wakhe. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
18 “Cursed [is] he who is causing the blind to err in the way.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe oduhisa isiphofu endleleni. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
19 “Cursed [is] he who is turning aside the judgment of fatherless, sojourner, and widow.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe ophambula isahlulelo sowemzini, intandane, lomfelokazi. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
20 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his father’s wife, for he has uncovered his father’s skirt.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe olala lomkayise, ngoba embule umphetho wesembatho sikayise. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
21 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with any beast.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe olala laloba yiyiphi inyamazana. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
22 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his sister, daughter of his father or daughter of his mother.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe olala lodadewabo, indodakazi kayise loba indodakazi kanina. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
23 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his mother-in-law.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe olala loninazala. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
24 “Cursed [is] he who is striking his neighbor in secret.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe otshaya umakhelwane wakhe ensitha. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
25 “Cursed [is] he who is taking a bribe to strike a person, innocent blood.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe owemukela isivalamlomo sokutshaya umuntu, igazi elingelacala. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
26 “Cursed [is] he who does not establish the words of this law, to do them.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
Kaqalekiswe ongaqinisi amazwi alumlayo ukuwenza. Labo bonke abantu bazakuthi: Ameni.
