< Deuteronomy 27 >
1 And Moses and [the] elderly of Israel command the people, saying, “Keep all the command which I am commanding you today;
Awo Musa ng’ali n’abakulu abakulembeze ba Isirayiri n’alagira abantu nti, “Ebiragiro byonna bye mbategeeza leero mubikuumenga.
2 and it has been, in the day that you pass over the Jordan to the land which your God YHWH is giving to you, that you have raised up great stones for yourself, and plastered them with plaster,
Bwe mumalanga okusomoka omugga Yoludaani n’oyingira mu nsi Mukama Katonda wo gy’akuwa, oddiranga amayinja amanene n’ogategeka n’ogakubako omuyiko ogw’ennoni ng’etabuddwamu omusenyu.
3 and written on them all the words of this law in your passing over, so that you go into the land which your God YHWH is giving to you—a land flowing with milk and honey, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you.
Ogawandiikangako ebigambo bino byonna eby’amateeka, ng’omaze okusomoka, ng’oyingidde mu nsi Mukama Katonda wo gy’akuwa, y’ensi omukulukutira amata n’omubisi gw’enjuki, nga Mukama Katonda wa bajjajjaabo bwe yakusuubiza.
4 And it has been, in your passing over the Jordan, you raise up these stones which I am commanding you today, in Mount Ebal, and you have plastered them with plaster,
Bw’otyo, bw’olimala okusomoka omugga Yoludaani, otegekanga amayinja ago ku Lusozi Ebali nga bwe mbalagira kaakano, era ogakubangako omuyiko ogw’ennoni ng’etabuddwamu omusenyu.
5 and built an altar there to your God YHWH, an altar of stones; you do not wave iron over them.
Era Mukama Katonda wo olimuzimbira eyo ekyoto n’amayinja amalamba agatali matemeko na kyuma.
6 You build the altar of your God YHWH [with] complete stones, and have caused burnt-offerings to ascend on it to your God YHWH,
Olizimbira eyo Mukama Katonda wo ekyoto n’amayinja amalamba n’oweerako ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa eri Mukama Katonda wo.
7 and sacrificed peace-offerings, and eaten there, and rejoiced before your God YHWH,
Oliwaayo ebiweebwayo olw’emirembe, n’obiriira eyo ng’osanyukira mu maaso ga Mukama Katonda wo.
8 and written on the stones all the words of this law, well engraved.”
Era ku mayinja ago g’oliba otegese oliwandiikako n’obwegendereza ebigambo byonna eby’amateeka gano.”
9 And Moses speaks—the priests, the Levites, also—to all Israel, saying, “Keep silent and hear, O Israel: This day you have become a people for your God YHWH;
Awo Musa ng’ali n’Abaleevi, bakabona, n’agamba Abayisirayiri bonna nti, “Sirika owulire ggwe Isirayiri! Ku lunaku lwa leero lwennyini ofuuse eggwanga lya Mukama Katonda wo.
10 and you have listened to the voice of your God YHWH, and done His commands and His statutes which I am commanding you today.”
Noolwekyo ogonderanga Mukama Katonda wo n’okwatanga amateeka ge n’ebiragiro bye, bye nkulagira leero.”
11 And Moses commands the people on that day, saying,
Ku lunaku lwe lumu Musa yakuutira abantu bw’ati nti,
12 “These stand on Mount Gerizzim to bless the people, in your passing over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
Bwe mulimala okusomoka omugga Yoludaani, ab’omu bika bino baliyimirira ku Lusozi Gerizimu ne basabira abantu omukisa: Simyoni, ne Leevi, ne Yuda, ne Isakaali, ne Yusufu, ne Benyamini.
13 And these stand, for the reviling, on Mount Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.”
Ate ab’omu bika bino baliyimirira ku Lusozi Ebali ne balangirira ebikolimo: Lewubeeni, ne Gaadi, ne Aseri, ne Zebbulooni, ne Ddaani, ne Nafutaali.
14 And the Levites have answered and said to every man of Israel [with] a loud voice:
Awo Abaleevi balirangirira n’eddoboozi ddene eri abantu bonna Abayisirayiri nti:
15 “Cursed [is] the man who makes a carved and molten image, an abomination [to] YHWH, work of the hands of a craftsman, and has put [it] in a secret place.” And all the people have answered and said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akola ekifaananyi ekitali Katonda oba abumba ekintu ng’ekyo kyonna Mukama ky’akyayira ddala nga kikolebwa omukozi nnakinku, omuntu oyo n’abaako ne wakiyimiriza mu kyama.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
16 “Cursed [is] he who is making light of his father and his mother.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atassaamu kitiibwa kitaawe oba nnyina.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
17 “Cursed [is] he who is removing his neighbor’s border.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akyusa ekituuti ekiraga ensalo ya muliraanwa we.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
18 “Cursed [is] he who is causing the blind to err in the way.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna aggya omuzibe w’amaaso mu kkubo ettuufu n’amubuza.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
19 “Cursed [is] he who is turning aside the judgment of fatherless, sojourner, and widow.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atalaga bwenkanya eri bannamawanga, oba bamulekwa oba bannamwandu.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
20 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his father’s wife, for he has uncovered his father’s skirt.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne muka kitaawe, kubanga ekitanda kya kitaawe akimalamu ekitiibwa.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
21 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with any beast.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akola ebyobukaba n’ensolo.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
22 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his sister, daughter of his father or daughter of his mother.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne mwannyina omuwala wa kitaawe, oba muwala wa nnyina.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
23 “Cursed [is] he who is lying with his mother-in-law.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne nnyina wa mukazi we.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
24 “Cursed [is] he who is striking his neighbor in secret.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atemula munne.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
25 “Cursed [is] he who is taking a bribe to strike a person, innocent blood.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akkiriza okugulirirwa atte munne ataliiko musango.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
26 “Cursed [is] he who does not establish the words of this law, to do them.” And all the people have said, “Amen.”
“Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atagondera bigambo ebiri mu mateeka gano.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
