Deuteronomy 22
1 “You do not see the ox of your brother or his sheep driven away, and have hidden yourself from them, you certainly turn them back to your brother;
Wenn du einen Ochsen oder ein Schaf deines Volksgenossen irre gehen siehst, sollst du ihnen deine Hilfe nicht vorenthalten, sondern sie vielmehr deinem Volksgenossen zurückbringen.
2 and if your brother [is] not near to you, and you have not known him, then you have removed it to the midst of your house, and it has been with you until your brother seeks it, and you have given it back to him;
Und wenn dein Volksgenosse nicht in deiner Nähe wohnt oder wenn er dir nicht bekannt ist, so sollst du es in dein Haus aufnehmen und bei dir behalten, bis dein Volksgenosse es sucht, und sollst es ihm dann zurückgeben.
3 and so you do to his donkey, and so you do to his garment, and so you do to any lost thing of your brother’s, which is lost by him, and you have found it; you are not able to hide yourself.
Ebenso sollst du verfahren mit seinem Esel; ebenso sollst du mit seinem Kleidungsstücke verfahren und ebenso sollst du mit jedem verlorenen Gegenstande verfahren, der deinem Volksgenossen abhanden gekommen ist, und den du gefunden hast; du darfst ihm deine Fürsorge nicht vorenthalten.
4 You do not see the donkey of your brother, or his ox, falling in the way, and have hid yourself from them; you certainly raise [them] up for him.
Wenn du siehst, daß ein Esel oder ein Ochse deines Volksgenossen auf dem Wege gestürzt ist, so sollst du ihnen deine Hilfe nicht vorenthalten, vielmehr sollst du sie ihm aufrichten helfen.
5 Anything of a man is not on a woman, nor does a man put on the garment of a woman, for anyone doing these [is] an abomination [to] your God YHWH.
Ein Weib soll nicht Männertracht tragen, und ein Mann soll nicht Weiberkleider anziehen; denn jeder, der solches thut, ist Jahwe, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.
6 When a bird’s nest comes before you in the way, in any tree, or on the earth, [with] brood or eggs, and the mother is sitting on the brood or on the eggs, you do not take the mother with the young ones;
Wenn dir zufällig auf dem Weg auf irgend einem Baum oder am Boden ein Vogelnest mit Jungen oder mit Eiern zu Gesichte kommt, während die Mutter auf den Jungen oder den Eiern sitzt, so sollst du nicht die Mutter samt den Jungen nehmen;
7 you certainly send the mother away, and take the young ones for yourself, so that it is well with you and you have prolonged days.
vielmehr sollst du die Mutter fliegen lassen und dir nur die Jungen nehmen, damit es dir wohl gehe und du lange lebest.
8 When you build a new house, then you have made a parapet for your roof, and you do not put blood on your house when one falls from it.
Wenn du ein neues Haus baust, so sollst du an deinem Dach ein Geländer anbringen, damit du nicht Blutschuld auf dein Haus ladest, falls jemand von demselben herunterfallen sollte.
9 You do not sow your vineyard [with] two kinds [of seed], lest the fullness of the seed which you sow and the increase of the vineyard be separated.
Du sollst in deinem Weinberge nicht zweierlei pflanzen; sonst ist das Ganze dem Heiligtume verfallen, die Saat, die du angesät hast, und der Ertrag des Weinbergs.
10 You do not plow with an ox and with a donkey together.
Du sollst nicht Ochse und Esel zusammen zum Pflügen verwenden.
11 You do not put on mixed material, wool and linens together.
Du sollst nicht Kleider anziehen, die aus zweierlei Fäden, aus Wolle und Flachs, zusammengewirkt sind.
12 You make fringes for yourself on the four skirts of your covering with which you cover [yourself].
Du sollst dir Quasten an den vier Zipfeln deines Oberkleides, mit dem du dich umhüllst, anbringen.
13 When a man takes a wife, and has gone in to her, and hated her,
Wenn jemand, nachdem er eine Frau heimgeführt und ihr beigewohnt hat, Widerwillen gegen sie empfindet
14 and laid evil deeds of words against her, and brought out an evil name against her, and said, I have taken this woman, and I draw near to her, and I have not found proofs of virginity in her;
und ihr schändliche Dinge zur Last legt und sie so in üblen Ruf bringt, indem er behauptet: Ich habe diese Frau heimgeführt, aber bei der Beiwohnung sie nicht als Jungfrau erfunden,
15 then the father of the girl, and her mother, have taken and brought out the girl’s proofs of virginity to [the] elderly of the city in the gate,
so sollen die Eltern der jungen Person die Zeichen der Jungfrauschaft der jungen Person nehmen und hinaus zum Thore vor die Vornehmsten der Stadt bringen,
16 and the father of the girl has said to the elderly, I have given my daughter to this man for a wife, and he hates her;
und der Vater der jungen Frau soll zu den Vornehmsten sagen: Ich habe meine Tochter diesem Manne zur Frau gegeben, und da er nun Widerwillen gegen sie empfindet,
17 and behold, he has laid evil deeds of words, saying, I have not found proofs of virginity for your daughter—and these [are] the proofs of virginity of my daughter! And they have spread out the garment before [the] elderly of the city.
legt er ihr schändliche Dinge zur Last, indem er behauptet: Ich habe deine Tochter nicht als Jungfrau erfunden; hier aber ist der Beweis für die Jungfrauschaft meiner Tochter! und sie sollen zugleich das Betttuch vor den Vornehmsten der Stadt ausbreiten.
18 And [the] elderly of that city have taken the man, and discipline him,
Darauf sollen die Vornehmsten jener Stadt den Mann nehmen und ihn züchtigen lassen;
19 and fined him one hundred pieces of silver, and given [them] to the father of the girl, because he has brought out an evil name on a virgin of Israel; and she is to him for a wife—he is not able to send her away [for] all his days.
auch sollen sie ihm eine Geldbuße von hundert Silbersekeln auferlegen, um sie dem Vater der jungen Frau einzuhändigen. Denn er hat eine israelitische Jungfrau in bösen Ruf gebracht und er soll sie zur Frau behalten und sein Leben lang nicht das Recht haben, sich von ihr zu scheiden.
20 And if this thing has been truth—proofs of virginity have not been found for the girl—
Wenn aber solche Nachrede auf Wahrheit beruht, wenn die Jungfrauschaft der jungen Frau nicht erwiesen werden kann,
21 then they have brought out the girl to the opening of her father’s house, and the men of her city have stoned her with stones and she has died, for she has done folly in Israel, to go whoring [in] her father’s house; and you have put away evil out of your midst.
so soll man die junge Person vor die Thüre ihres väterlichen Hauses führen, und die Leute aus ihrer Stadt sollen sie zu Tode steinigen, weil sie eine schwere Schandthat in Israel begangen hat, indem sie im väterlichen Hause Unzucht trieb. So sollst du das Böse aus deiner Mitte hinwegtilgen.
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them have died—the man who is lying with the woman, and the woman; and you have put away evil out of Israel.
Wenn jemand dabei betroffen wird, daß er einer verheirateten Frau beiwohnt, so sollen sie alle beide sterben, sowohl der Mann, der der Frau beiwohnte, als auch die Frau. So sollst du das Böse aus Israel hinwegtilgen.
23 When there is a girl, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and a man has found her in a city and lain with her,
Wenn jemand mit einer Jungfrau, die einem Manne verlobt ist, innerhalb der Stadt zusammentrifft und ihr beiwohnt,
24 then you have brought them both out to the gate of that city, and stoned them with stones, and they have died: the girl, because that she has not cried in a city; and the man, because that he has humbled his neighbor’s wife; and you have put away evil out of your midst.
so sollt ihr sie beide zum Thore der betreffenden Stadt hinausführen und sie zu Tode steinigen, das Mädchen, weil sie nicht, wie sie in der Stadt konnte, um Hilfe geschrieen hat, und den Mann, weil er das Weib seines Nächsten geschwächt hat. So sollst du das Böse aus deiner Mitte hinwegtilgen.
25 And if the man finds the girl who is betrothed in a field, and the man has laid hold on her, and lain with her, then the man who has lain with her has died alone;
Wenn aber der Mann die verlobte Jungfrau auf freiem Felde angetroffen und der Mann ihr Gewalt angethan und ihr beigewohnt hat, so soll der Mann, der ihr beigewohnt hat, allein sterben.
26 and you do not do anything to the girl—the girl has no deadly sin; for as a man rises against his neighbor and has murdered him, [taking] a life, so [is] this thing;
Dem Mädchen aber soll man nichts anhaben, denn das Mädchen hat kein todeswürdiges Verbrechen begangen; es verhält sich mit diesem Falle so, wie wenn einer seinen Nächsten überfällt und totschIägt.
27 for he found her in a field, [and when] she has cried—the girl who is betrothed—then she has no savior.
Denn da er sie auf freiem Felde angetroffen hat, kann die verlobte Jungfrau geschrieen haben, ohne daß ihr jemand zu Hilfe kommen konnte.
28 When a man finds a girl, a virgin who is not betrothed, and has caught her, and lain with her, and they have been found,
Wenn jemand eine Jungfrau, die nicht verlobt ist, antrifft, sie ergreift und ihr beiwohnt, und sie ertappt werden,
29 then the man who is lying with her has given fifty pieces of silver to the father of the girl, and she is to him for a wife; because that he has humbled her, he is not able to send her away [for] all his days.
so hat der Mann, der ihr beigewohnt hat, dem Vater des Mädchens fünfzig Silbersekel zu bezahlen; sie aber soll ihm als Frau angehören, weil er sie geschwächt hat, und er soll sein Leben lang nicht das Recht haben, sich von ihr zu scheiden.
30 A man does not take his father’s wife, nor uncover his father’s skirt.”
Niemand soll das Weib seines Vaters heiraten und so die Decke seines Vaters aufheben. Wer aus der Gemeinde Gottes auszuschließen sei. Reimhaltung des Kriegslagers.
