< Deuteronomy 22 >
1 “You do not see the ox of your brother or his sheep driven away, and have hidden yourself from them, you certainly turn them back to your brother;
Na sopi bongchal ham khat tou avah mang na mua ahileh, hichu nakimu mosah lou diu, don-nahsah mo’a na koi lou diu, ama vang namu chan uchu nasopi henga nahin kailut joh diu ahi.
2 and if your brother [is] not near to you, and you have not known him, then you have removed it to the midst of your house, and it has been with you until your brother seeks it, and you have given it back to him;
Hiche gancha neipa chu nangma inlam toh kigam lha a um ahia, achenna nahet lou'uva ahileh agancha chu nanghon na inlam uva nahin kai diu, aneipa na sopipan ahung hol kahsea na ventup peh diu ahung hol tengleh phate chaa na lepeh diu ahi.
3 and so you do to his donkey, and so you do to his garment, and so you do to any lost thing of your brother’s, which is lost by him, and you have found it; you are not able to hide yourself.
Asangan ham khat namu tah ujongleh hitia chu nabol diu, asangkhol ham namu ujongleh hiti ma achu nabol peh diu ahi. Ipi thil le lo hijongleh nanghon nasopi thil namu khah tah’uva ahileh nale peh cheh cheh diu, hitia chu nakithopi diu ahi.
4 You do not see the donkey of your brother, or his ox, falling in the way, and have hid yourself from them; you certainly raise [them] up for him.
Na sopi khat sangan ham, bongchal ham khat chu lampia alhusa namu khah’uva ahileh, hichu napanpi tei diu ahi. Na sopi gancha alhua chu na phoh doh peh diu, nahuh doh diu ahi.
5 Anything of a man is not on a woman, nor does a man put on the garment of a woman, for anyone doing these [is] an abomination [to] your God YHWH.
Chule nalah’uva numeiyin pasal chunga kaisa akivonna ponsil chu kivonnaa aman thei louhel ding, hitobanga chon chan chu Pakai, Pathen dinga thet umtah ahi.
6 When a bird’s nest comes before you in the way, in any tree, or on the earth, [with] brood or eggs, and the mother is sitting on the brood or on the eggs, you do not take the mother with the young ones;
Vabu hamkhat chu na tokhah’uva hichu tollham ham thing chung ham khat a um, vabu sunga chu atuiham anou ham khat chu vapin aop khum lai ahileh, hichu anousen puma namat thauva nasuh gam loudiu ahi.
7 you certainly send the mother away, and take the young ones for yourself, so that it is well with you and you have prolonged days.
Ahinlah vapi chu nadel mang'uva ahileh, anou chengse chu nakilo thei diu ahi, achutileh phat theina jong nachan diu chule nangho dinga hinkho sotnaa pang ding ahi.
8 When you build a new house, then you have made a parapet for your roof, and you do not put blood on your house when one falls from it.
Chule nanghon in thah nasah teng ujongleh, bilha nunga kona mi akhih lhahna lou ding, thisan jal'a themmona achuhna lou dinga, bilha gol jousea aki-tanden nading nasem peh diu ahi.
9 You do not sow your vineyard [with] two kinds [of seed], lest the fullness of the seed which you sow and the increase of the vineyard be separated.
Chule na lengpi lei laiyuva muchi ni natu kop thei lou diu, muchi ni natu kop’uva ahileh hichu munthenga katdoh dinga ki sang thei lou ding ahi.
10 You do not plow with an ox and with a donkey together.
Bongchal ham sangan ham khat chu, lou kainaa naman kop thei lou diu ahi.
11 You do not put on mixed material, wool and linens together.
Tupat kihel leh pat chom kihel khom jong mangchaa, kisilna a naman thei lou diu ahi.
12 You make fringes for yourself on the four skirts of your covering with which you cover [yourself].
Na kivonnau ding na sangkhol chol'u mong ning lam lia chu, pat hol khat cheh naba diu ahi.
13 When a man takes a wife, and has gone in to her, and hated her,
Pasal khat chun numei aji dinga akipuija, alup khompia chujou le numeinu chu athet bol jeng lou ding ahi.
14 and laid evil deeds of words against her, and brought out an evil name against her, and said, I have taken this woman, and I draw near to her, and I have not found proofs of virginity in her;
Hiche numei nu chu jachat naleh jumna dimset’a alha jenga, hiche numei nu chu kaji ding in kapuiyin kaluppin ahileh, atheng lou mitoh lum khomsa ahitai, ti asei khah ngei ngeiya ahileh,
15 then the father of the girl, and her mother, have taken and brought out the girl’s proofs of virginity to [the] elderly of the city in the gate,
Hiche numei nu chu anu leh apan jong khopi sung lam kelkot’a thutan vaihom ho henga chu apui lut lhon ding, amanu hi atheng mong mong ahi nai ti, photchetna aga bol lhon ding ahi.
16 and the father of the girl has said to the elderly, I have given my daughter to this man for a wife, and he hates her;
Chuteng numeinu pan jong hitia hi aphondoh ding, hiche pasalpa toh'hin kicheng ding mong monga kana pehdohsa chu ahitai. Ahinlah pasalpan vang muda in solmang ding agoe, tia asei ding ahi.
17 and behold, he has laid evil deeds of words, saying, I have not found proofs of virginity for your daughter—and these [are] the proofs of virginity of my daughter! And they have spread out the garment before [the] elderly of the city.
Chugoh keu hilouvin, amanu chunga hin jachatna tampi alhunsah in, “Hiche nachanu chunga hin nungah thengsel ahina ima kamu doh tapoi,” tia asei ding ahi. Chuteng apan jong ka chanu hi nungah theng mong mong ahi, tiphot chetna hicheng hi ahiye tia asei ding, ajehchu hitobang phot chetna dinga chu numeinu anu leh apan jong khopi kelkot thutan vaihom ho, henga aphondoh lhonna pon asil lhon ding ahi.
18 And [the] elderly of that city have taken the man, and discipline him,
Chujou tengleh khopi sunga upa hon jong, hiche pasalpa chu amat uva ajep diu ahi.
19 and fined him one hundred pieces of silver, and given [them] to the father of the girl, because he has brought out an evil name on a virgin of Israel; and she is to him for a wife—he is not able to send her away [for] all his days.
Chule pasalpa chu dangka shekel jakhat a aleu sah diu, hiche dangka shekel jakhat chu nu ngahnu pa chang ding ahi. Ajeh chu hiche pasalpa chun Israel nungah khat aminset sah jeh ahi. Chule numeinu jong jia anei ding, ahinkho lhum keiya dinga ajia pang ding ahi.
20 And if this thing has been truth—proofs of virginity have not been found for the girl—
Amavang nungahnu chunga chu, athenge tiphot chetna aum tah louva ahileh,
21 then they have brought out the girl to the opening of her father’s house, and the men of her city have stoned her with stones and she has died, for she has done folly in Israel, to go whoring [in] her father’s house; and you have put away evil out of your midst.
Amaho chun hiche nungahnu chu apa in kot phunga kona ahin kai doh diu, chuteng khopi sunga cheng josuen amanu chu songa aselih jeng diu ahi. Ajeh chu hiche numeinu chu chondih louna mangchan aki ngolsah tan, Israel insunga, apa insunga hiti chun ana chon tan ahi. Hitobanga chon chan phalou jouse chu nasuh dih jing diu ahi.
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them have died—the man who is lying with the woman, and the woman; and you have put away evil out of Israel.
Chule pasal khat chun pasal dang jikhat chu aluppi khah tah'a ahileh, numeinu ahin pasal pa ahin anigel lhonna thina chang lhon ding ahi. Hitobang achu Israel sunga thil dihlou chonna jouse nasuh bei diu ahi.
23 When there is a girl, a virgin, betrothed to a man, and a man has found her in a city and lain with her,
Chule khopi sunga nungah thengsel khat chu pasal khat touvin, kholai dung ham khat a chu aki timatpi jeng tah'a ahileh,
24 then you have brought them both out to the gate of that city, and stoned them with stones, and they have died: the girl, because that she has not cried in a city; and the man, because that he has humbled his neighbor’s wife; and you have put away evil out of your midst.
Hitobanga chon teni chu ani lhonna khopi sung lam kelkot phunga nahin kaidoh diu, ani lhona songa na selih jeng diu ahi. Ajeh chu numeinu jong chu apanpi thei mi tampi kho sunga aum in, ahinlah ama peng doh louhel in aum in, pasal pan jong aheng akom chu asuh set jeng ahin, hitobang chondan dih lou jouse hi nalah uva kona nasuh thengsel diu ahi.
25 And if the man finds the girl who is betrothed in a field, and the man has laid hold on her, and lain with her, then the man who has lain with her has died alone;
Hinlah nungah khat chu mitoh lumkhomsa ama chu gamlah a pasal khat touvin ana lupkhom pia, pasalpa chun numeinu chu tha guma amat chah a aki timat pia ahileh, hiche dinmuna vang hi pasal pa bouseh thina chang ding ahi.
26 and you do not do anything to the girl—the girl has no deadly sin; for as a man rises against his neighbor and has murdered him, [taking] a life, so [is] this thing;
Hitobang dinmun thilsoh chung chang hi, numeinu ima kilo theilou ding ahi. Ajeh chu numeinu chunga hin thina chan gotna pehna ding aum pon, pasal khat in asopipa lam ajot lutna thina achansah tobang ahi.
27 for he found her in a field, [and when] she has cried—the girl who is betrothed—then she has no savior.
Ajeh chu hiche numeinu chu pasal pan gamlah a adel khum a aki timatpi ahin, numei khangdong nun jong kithopi ding ngaicha in apeng in, hinlah koiman ajah peh lou ahi.
28 When a man finds a girl, a virgin who is not betrothed, and has caught her, and lain with her, and they have been found,
Chule pasal khat touvin nungah theng tah khat chu alup pi khah tah a, thahat husana amanu chu aki timat pia alup pettah lhon akimat doh a ahileh,
29 then the man who is lying with her has given fifty pieces of silver to the father of the girl, and she is to him for a wife; because that he has humbled her, he is not able to send her away [for] all his days.
Hiche pasalpa, nungahnu ki timatpi pa chun numeinu pachu dangka shekel somnga apeh ding ahi, ajeh chu amapa chun numeinu chu aki timatpisa ahitan, a hinkho lhum keiya ji dinga aki puiya hinkho aman ding ahi.
30 A man does not take his father’s wife, nor uncover his father’s skirt.”
Koitobang pasal khat chun, apa jinu chu jia agel thei louhel ding chule apa ji khat chu anih aho peh thei lou ding ahi.
