< Deuteronomy 21 >
1 “When one is found slain, fallen in a field on the ground which your God YHWH is giving to you to possess it, [and] it is not known who has struck him,
Pakai, Pathen in napeh'u nachennau gamsunga chu thise khat tou auma, ahivanga hiche thise chu koitha pen ham ti, aki hedoh thei lou aum a,
2 then your elderly and yours [of those] judging have gone out and measured to the cities which [are] around the slain one,
hitobang dinmun chu aum khah tah a ahileh, na upateu leh vaihom natong chengse chu hung diu, nakhopiu leh akim vel'a khopi chengse chu phatah atetoh soh kei diu ahi.
3 and it has been, the city which [is] near to the slain one, even [the] elderly of that city have taken a heifer of the herd, which has not been worked with, which has not drawn in a yoke,
Hitia chu abol diu thise tohpa umna akona chu, khopi akinaipi pen chu mo kichan ding ahi. Bong ala khat lou natong kha loulai hichu agakai diu ahi.
4 and [the] elderly of that city have brought down the heifer to a hard valley, which is not tilled nor sown, and have beheaded the heifer there in the valley.
Hiche mochanga khopi sung mite chun, bongla chu phaicham lah khat a ahin kai diu, hiche phaicham chu lou natohnaa kimang khalou hi ding, phaicham muna chu bongla gol chu angong chang aheboh diu ahi.
5 And the priests, sons of Levi, have come near—for your God YHWH has fixed on them to serve Him and to bless in the Name of YHWH, and by their mouth is every strife and every stroke—
Chuteng Levi thempuho abonchauva ama sang lama hung masa diu ahi. Ajeh chu Pakai, Pathen in amaho chu akin natong dinga alhen dohsa ahin, Levi thempu ho thusah bang banga kinopmona leh kinah boutam jouse aboncha thu chaina um ding ahi.
6 and all [the] elderly of that city, who are near to the slain one, wash their hands over the heifer which is beheaded in the valley,
Thisepa umna toh kinaina muna bongla kithana muna chu, khopi sunga upa ho jousen twiya akhut akisop cheh diu ahi.
7 and they have answered and said, Our hands have not shed this blood, and our eyes have not seen—
Hichu amaho dinga hettohsahnaa pang ding, “Keiho khut a kona hiche thise hi thisan kiso ahipoi, thisan kiso pet jeng jong kamu hih hel uve,” tia seina diu ahi.
8 receive atonement for Your people Israel, whom You have ransomed, O YHWH, and do not permit innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel; and the blood has been pardoned to them,
O Pakai, nangman nahuh dohsa nami Israel mite hi ngaidam tan, hiche themmona thisan kisona ho jal'in nami Israelte chunga lethuhna neihih helin, thisan kiso jal'a amaho chunga lethuhna achan nalou dinga, taona anei peh teitei diu ahi.
9 and you put away the innocent blood out of your midst, for you do that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH.
Hitia chu nangman jong mona beihela thisen kiso na chung changa kona Pakai, mitmua adih a natohna chu nabol tenguleh suhtheng najong nanei diu ahi.
10 When you go out to battle against your enemies, and your God YHWH has given them into your hand, and you have taken captive its captivity,
Namel mateu toh gal kisat dinga nakon doh tenguleh Pakai, Pathen in na melmateu chu nangho henga ahinpeh doh khah tah’a ahileh, nangman jong amaho chu gal hinga nahin kai ding ahi.
11 and have seen a woman of beautiful form in the captivity, and have delighted in her, and have taken [her] to yourself for a wife,
Chule hiche gal hing lah’a kona chu numei melhoitah nakimu doh’uva ahileh, nangmhon jong hiche numei chu naji diuva na kipui jeng theiyu ahi.
12 then you have brought her into the midst of your household, and she has shaved her head, and prepared her nails,
Chuteng hiche numei chu nangho inlama nahin puidiu, asam jouse natan peh diu chule atin jouse jong natan mui peh diu ahi.
13 and turned aside the raiment of her captivity from off her, and has dwelt in your house, and lamented her father and her mother [for] a month of days, and afterward you go in to her and have married her, and she has been to you for a wife.
Hiche numei nu jong chun soh kivonna chu akoiya, nangho insunga chu cheng jing ding lhani jen anu leh apa pul adou ding ahi. Hitia chu nangho jong numeinu henga na galut diu, nangho jong ama dia ajipa nahi thei diu, nupa naum thei diu ahi.
14 And it has been, if you have not delighted in her, that you have sent her away at her desire, and surely you do not sell her for money; you do not tyrannize over her, because that you have humbled her.
Amanu chunga hi lungkim louna naneiyuva ahileh, nang hon jong amanu chu achena nom chana nasol jeng theiyu ahi. sum leh paiya jong najoh doh thei lou diu chule soh ki bolna bang banga jong nabol louhel diu ahi. Ajeh chu nanghon amanu hi na luppi sau ahitai.
15 When a man has two wives, one loved and the other hated, and they have borne sons to him (the loved one and the hated one), and the firstborn son has been to the hated one,
Koitobang pasal khat chun numei ji ni akop a, khatnu adeiya khatnu vang chu adeimo joh’a, ahivanga anigel lhona cha ahin lhon tah a, adeimo nu chun cha pasal ahin khat tah a ahileh,
16 then it has been, in the day of his causing his sons to inherit that which he has, he is not able to declare firstborn the son of the loved one, in the face of the son of the hated one—the firstborn.
ajipa chun kho nunga achapate thil leh lo ahin hoppeh nikho tengleh, adeimo johnu chapa sanga chu adeinu chapa chu gel khohna aneiya langnei na jong anei thei lou ding, apeng masa chu apeng masa bang bang abol thou thou ding ahi.
17 But the firstborn, son of the hated one, he acknowledges, to give to him a double portion of all that is found with him, for he [is] the beginning of his strength; to him [is] the right of the firstborn.
Adeimo johnu chapa chu achapa lah a atah pen ahi tia aphon doh ding, anei agou jouse lah’a chan nia tam joa apeh ding ahi. Ajeh chu ama dia chapa masapen ahin, mi-upa chan ding chu achansah thou thou ding ahi.
18 When a man has a son apostatizing and being rebellious—he is not listening to the voice of his father and to the voice of his mother, and they have disciplined him, and he does not listen to them—
Chapa khat touvin Pakai thungai lou chule anu, apa thujong ngai louva doumah jenga achona ahileh,
19 then his father and his mother have laid hold on him, and they have brought him out to [the] elderly of his city, and to the gate of his place,
Hiche chapa chu anu leh apan jong khopi kelkot lama, thutan vaihom ho henga ahin puilut jeng lhon ding ahi.
20 and have said to [the] elderly of his city, Our son—this one—is apostatizing and being rebellious; he is not listening to our voice—a glutton and drunkard.
Chuteng anu leh apan jong hiche ka chapa hi doumah jeng aboldoh tan chule kathu lhon jong angai hih hel in, milop tah le phatseh a jukhamnaa hinkho mang jeng ahitai, ati lhon ding ahi.
21 Then all the men of his city have stoned him with stones and he has died, and you have put away the evil out of your midst, and all Israel hears and fears.
Chutengleh hitobang miphalou chu khopi sunga cheng mipi ho chun songa aselih jeng diu ahi. Hiche hi Israel pum pin amu soh kei uva, kichaa umdiu ahi.
22 And when there is a sin in a man [with] a judgment of death, and he has been put to death, and you have hanged him on a tree,
Mihem khat touvin thina chan gotna pehna thei chonset a alhah khah tah a, amapa chu tha teitei ding ahi tah leh, ama chu thing chunga kona na khai lih jeng theiyu ahi.
23 his corpse does not remain on the tree, for you certainly bury him in the day—for he who is hanged [becomes] a curse of God—and you do not defile your ground which your God YHWH is giving to you [for] an inheritance.”
Amavang hiche na khai lihpau chu khovah chana na khai den thei lou diu, nakho vahsah ngei ngeiyuva ahileh nang hon Pakai, Pathen in nagoulo dinga napeh nau gamsung nasuh boh'u ahitan, hijeh achu nakho vahsah louhel diu ahi.
