< Deuteronomy 18 >

1 “There is not for the priests, the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—a portion and inheritance with Israel; they eat fire-offerings of YHWH, even His inheritance,
“Mwet tol ac mwet nukewa ke sruf lal Levi ac fah wangin ip lalos ke facl lun mwet Israel; a elos ac moulkin mwe sang ac mwe kisa saya ma itukyang nu sin LEUM GOD.

Ac fah wangin acn selos, tia oana sruf ngia. Ip lalos pa elos mukena sriyukla in oru orekma lun mwet tol lun LEUM GOD, oana ke LEUM GOD El wulela.
3 And this is the priest’s right from the people, from those sacrificing a sacrifice, whether ox or sheep, he has even given to the priest the leg, and the two cheeks, and the stomach;
“Pacl nukewa ac kisakinyuk cow ku sheep, na in itukyang nu sin mwet tol finpisa, likintupa luo, ac fotowa.
4 you give to him the first of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your flock;
Elos ac fah eis pac ip se emeet ke wheat, wain, oil in olive ac unen sheep.
5 for your God YHWH has fixed on him, out of all your tribes, to stand to serve in the Name of YHWH—him and his sons continually.
Inmasrlon sruf lowos nukewa, LEUM GOD El srela sruf lal Levi in kulansupwal in oru orekma lun mwet tol nwe tok.
6 And when the Levite comes from one of your cities, out of all Israel where he has sojourned, and has come with all the desire of his soul to the place which YHWH chooses,
“Kutena mwet Levi su lungse in kulansap in mwet tol, el ku in tuku liki kutena siti el muta we in Israel, ac som nu ke acn se ma LEUM GOD El sulela mwet uh in alu nu sel we,

9 When you are coming into the land which your God YHWH is giving to you, you do not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.
“Pacl se kowos utyak nu in facl se ma LEUM GOD lowos El asot nu suwos uh, nimet etai ouiya na koluk lun mwet in mutunfacl we, su mwe srungayuk.
10 There is not found in you one causing his son and his daughter to pass over into fire, a user of divinations, an observer of clouds, and an enchanter, and a sorcerer,

12 For everyone doing these [is] an abomination [to] YHWH, and because of these abominations your God YHWH is dispossessing them from your presence.

13 You must be perfect with your God YHWH,
Kowos in arulana pwayena nu sin LEUM GOD.”
14 for these nations whom you are possessing listen to observers of clouds and to diviners; but you—your God YHWH has not permitted you so.
Na Moses el fahk, “In facl se su kowos apkuran in eis, mwet we lulalfongi kas lun mwet susfa ac fweni lalos, tusruktu LEUM GOD lowos El tia lela nu suwos in oru ma inge.
15 Your God YHWH raises up for you a Prophet like me out of your midst, out of your brothers—you must listen to Him,
A El fah supwaot sie mwet palu liki inmasrlon mwet lowos, su oana nga, na kowos in aksol.
16 according to all that you asked from your God YHWH in Horeb, in the day of the assembly, saying, Do not let me add to hear the voice of my God YHWH, and do not let me see this great fire anymore, and I do not die;
“Ke len se kowos tuh toeni pe Eol Sinai, kowos tuh kwafe kowos in tia sifil lohng pusren LEUM GOD, ku sifil liye e na lulap sac, mweyen kowos tuh nunku mu kowos ac misa.
17 and YHWH says to me, They have done well [in] what they have spoken;
Ouinge LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, ‘Elos orala sulela na lalmwetmet se.
18 I raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers, and I have given My words in His mouth, and He has spoken to them all that which I command Him;

19 and it has been [that] the man who does not listen to My words which He speaks in My Name, I require [it] of him.
El fah kaskas inek, ac nga fah kai kutena mwet su tia aksol.
20 Only, the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, and who speaks in the name of other gods, indeed, that prophet has died.
Tusruktu fin oasr sie mwet palu su nunku in sulkakin sie kas inek ke nga tia sapkin elan fahk, el fah misa kac, na ac fah oapana nu sin mwet palu su fahkak ke inen god saya!
21 And when you say in your heart, How do we know the word which YHWH has not spoken?
“Sahp kowos ac suk lah kowos ac etu fuka lah ma sie mwet palu el fahk tia ma tuku sin LEUM GOD.
22 That which the prophet speaks in the Name of YHWH, and the thing is not, and does not come—it [is] the word which YHWH has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it in presumption; you are not afraid of him.”
Sie mwet palu fin kaskas ke Inen LEUM GOD ac ma el fahk uh tia sikyak oana, na kas lal tia ma sin LEUM GOD me. Mwet palu sac el kaskas ke ku na lal sifacna, na kowos fah tia sangeng sel.
