< Deuteronomy 16 >
1 “Observe the month of Abib, and you have made a Passover to your God YHWH, for in the month of Abib your God YHWH has brought you out of Egypt by night;

2 and you have sacrificed a Passover to your God YHWH, of the flock and of the herd, in the place which YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell there.
Te dongah saelhung neh boiva te, BOEIPA loh amah ming phuk thil hamla a coelh hmuen ah, BOEIPA na Pathen kah Yoom la ngawn.
3 You do not eat any fermented thing with it; [for] seven days you eat unleavened things with it, bread of affliction (for you have come out of the land of Egypt in haste), so that you remember the day of your coming out of the land of Egypt all [the] days of your life;
Egypt kho lamloh phacipphabaem neh tokrhat la na nong dongah vaidamding buh te hnin rhih ca lamtah tolrhu caak thil boeh. Te daengah ni Egypt kho lamloh na nong tue te na hing tue khuiah na poek eh.
4 and leaven is not seen with you in all your border [for] seven days, and there does not remain [any] of the flesh which you sacrifice at evening on the first day until morning.
Na taengkah loh hnin rhih tah, na khorhi pum ah tolrhu hmu boel saeh. A cuek khohnin hlaemhmah kah na ngawn maeh te mincang duela rhaeh boel saeh.
5 You are not able to sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which your God YHWH is giving to you,
BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang m'paek vongka carhui dongah Yoom te na ngawn ham coeng thai mahpawh.
6 except at the place which your God YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell—there you sacrifice the Passover in the evening, at the going in of the sun, the season of your coming out of Egypt;
Egypt lamloh na lo vaengkah khoning bangla, khomik a tlak thuk, hlaemhmah vaengah a ming phuk thil ham BOEIPA na Pathen loh a coelh hmuen ah Yoom te dawk ngawn.
7 and you have cooked and eaten in the place on which your God YHWH fixes, and have turned in the morning and gone to your tents;
Te phoeiah thong lamtah BOEIPA na Pathen loh amah ham a coelh hmuen ah ca. Mincang ah mael lamtah namah kah dap la cet.
8 [for] six days you eat unleavened things, and on the seventh day [is] a restraint to your God YHWH; you do no work.
Vaidamding te hnin rhuk ca lamtah a hnin rhih dongkah BOEIPA na Pathen ham pahong vaengah bitat saii boeh.
9 You number seven weeks for yourself; you begin to number seven weeks from the beginning of the sickle among the standing grain,
A yalh rhih te namah loh tae. Canghli la vin a tawn lamloh tong lamtah yalh rhih duela tae.
10 and you have observed the Celebration of Weeks to your God YHWH, a tribute of a free-will offering of your hand, which you give as your God YHWH blesses you.
BOEIPA na Pathen taengah Yalh khat Khotue te na saii ni. BOEIPA na Pathen loh yoethen m'paek vanbangla na kut dongkah na kothoh te a khawknah hil pae.
11 And you have rejoiced before your God YHWH, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your handmaid, and the Levite who [is] within your gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] in your midst, in the place which your God YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell there,
Te vaengah namah neh na capa na canu, na salnu neh na salpa, na vongka khuikah Levi neh yinlai, na khui kah cadah nuhmai loh BOEIPA na Pathen loh a ming phuk thil ham a coelh nah hmuen kah BOEIPA na Pathen kah mikhmuh ah na kohoe sakuh.
12 and you have remembered that you have been a servant in Egypt, and have observed and done these statutes.
Egypt ah sal la na om te poek lamtah he rhoek kah oltlueh na vai ham khaw ngaithuen van.
13 You observe the Celebration of Shelters for yourself [for] seven days, in your ingathering of your threshing-floor and of your wine-vat;
Na canghlom neh na va-am na than phoeikah a hnin rhih vaengah Pohlip Khotue na saii ni.
14 and you have rejoiced in your celebration, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your handmaid, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within your gates.
Namah kah khotue van vaengah tah namah neh na capa neh na canu khaw, na salnu neh na salpa khaw, na vongka khuikah Levi neh yilai khaw, cadah neh nuhmai khaw na kohoe uh saeh.
15 [For] seven days you celebrate before your God YHWH in the place which YHWH chooses, for your God YHWH blesses you in all your increase and in every work of your hands, and you have been only rejoicing.
BOEIPA kah a hmuen coelh dongah BOEIPA na Pathen te hnin rhih khuiah na lam thil ni. Te vaengah na cangvuei boeih neh na kut dongkah bitat boeih dongah nang te BOEIPA na Pathen loh yoethen m'paek vetih kohoe la na om taktak ni.
16 Three times in a year all of your males appear before your God YHWH in the place which He chooses: in the Celebration of Unleavened Things, and in the Celebration of Weeks, and in the Celebration of Shelters; and they do not appear before YHWH empty;
Na khuikah tongpaca boeih loh kum khat ah voei thum, vaidamding khotue, yalh rhoek khotue, pohlip khotue, vaengah BOEIPA hmuen coelh kah BOEIPA na Pathen mikhmuh ah phoe saeh. Tedae BOEIPA mikhmuh ah kuttling la phoe boel saeh.
17 each [gives] according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of your God YHWH, which He has given to you.
BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang taengah m'paek yoethennah te a kut dongah kutdoe la rhip hang khuen saeh.
18 You set for yourself judges and authorities within all your gates which your God YHWH is giving to you, for your tribes; and they have judged the people [with] a righteous judgment.
BOEIPA na Pathen loh namah koca rhoek ham nang taengah m'paek na vongka khui boeih ah namah ham lai aka tloek la rhoiboei khueh lamtah pilnam taengah duengnah neh a tiktamnah la laitloek uh saeh.
19 You do not turn aside judgment; you do not discern faces, nor take a bribe, for the bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
Laitloeknah te haeh sak boeh. maelhmai khaw so boeh. Kapbaih loh hlang cueih kah a mik he a dael sak tih hlang dueng kah olka pataeng a paimaelh thai dongah kapbaih na ca mahpawh.
20 Righteousness—you pursue righteousness, so that you live and have possessed the land which your God YHWH is giving to you.
Duengnah te duengnah bangla na hloem daengah ni na hing vetih BOEIPA na Pathen loh nang ham a khueh khohmuen te na pang eh.
21 You do not plant an Asherah of any trees for yourself near the altar of your God YHWH, which you make for yourself,
Asherah thing boeih tah namah loh BOEIPA na Pathen kah hmueihtuk na saii kaepah namah ham ling boeh.
22 and you do not raise up any standing image for yourself which your God YHWH is hating.”
BOEIPA na Pathen loh a hmuhuet kaam te khaw namah ham thoh boeh.
