Deuteronomy 16
1 “Observe the month of Abib, and you have made a Passover to your God YHWH, for in the month of Abib your God YHWH has brought you out of Egypt by night;
আবীব মাসে তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তোমরা নিস্তারপর্ব পালন করবে, কারণ আবীব মাসেই রাতের বেলায় তিনি তোমাদের মিশর থেকে বের করে এনেছিলেন।
2 and you have sacrificed a Passover to your God YHWH, of the flock and of the herd, in the place which YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell there.
সদাপ্রভু নিজের নামের জন্য যে বাসস্থান মনোনীত করবেন সেখানে তোমরা তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তোমাদের গরু বা মেষের পাল থেকে পশু নিয়ে নিস্তারপর্বে উৎসর্গ করবে।
3 You do not eat any fermented thing with it; [for] seven days you eat unleavened things with it, bread of affliction (for you have come out of the land of Egypt in haste), so that you remember the day of your coming out of the land of Egypt all [the] days of your life;
সেই পশুর মাংস তোমরা খামিরযুক্ত রুটির সঙ্গে খাবে না, কিন্তু সাত দিন খামিরবিহীন রুটি খাবে, তা দুঃখের সময়ের রুটি, কারণ তোমরা দ্রুত মিশর থেকে বেরিয়ে এসেছিলে—যেন সারা জীবন মিশর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার সময় তোমরা মনে রাখতে পারো।
4 and leaven is not seen with you in all your border [for] seven days, and there does not remain [any] of the flesh which you sacrifice at evening on the first day until morning.
এই সাত দিন সারা দেশে তোমাদের মধ্যে যেন খামির পাওয়া না যায়। প্রথম দিনের সন্ধ্যাবেলা তোমরা যে মাংস উৎসর্গ করবে তা যেন সকাল পর্যন্ত পড়ে না থাকে।
5 You are not able to sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which your God YHWH is giving to you,
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দেওয়া আর কোনও নগরে তোমরা নিস্তারপর্বের পশু উৎসর্গ করবে না
6 except at the place which your God YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell—there you sacrifice the Passover in the evening, at the going in of the sun, the season of your coming out of Egypt;
যে জায়গাটি তিনি নিজেকে প্রকাশ করবার জন্য তাঁর বাসস্থান হিসেবে মনোনীত করবেন কেবল সেখানেই তা উৎসর্গ করবে। যেদিন তোমরা মিশর দেশ থেকে বের হয়ে এসেছ প্রত্যেক বছর সেদিনে সেখানে তোমরা সন্ধ্যাবেলায় নিস্তারপর্বের পশু উৎসর্গ করবে, যখন সূর্য ডুবে যাবে।
7 and you have cooked and eaten in the place on which your God YHWH fixes, and have turned in the morning and gone to your tents;
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর মনোনীত জায়গায় সেই মাংস রান্না করে খাবে। তারপর সকালে নিজেদের তাঁবুতে ফিরে যাবে।
8 [for] six days you eat unleavened things, and on the seventh day [is] a restraint to your God YHWH; you do no work.
ছয় দিন ধরে তোমরা খামিরবিহীন রুটি খাবে আর সাত দিনের দিন তোমরা তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে শেষ দিনে পবিত্র সভার আয়োজন করবে এবং কোনও কাজ করবে না।
9 You number seven weeks for yourself; you begin to number seven weeks from the beginning of the sickle among the standing grain,
মাঠের ফসলে প্রথম কাস্তে দেওয়া আরম্ভ করা থেকে তোমরা সাত সপ্তাহ গণনা করবে।
10 and you have observed the Celebration of Weeks to your God YHWH, a tribute of a free-will offering of your hand, which you give as your God YHWH blesses you.
তারপর তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর আশীর্বাদ অনুযায়ী সংগতি থেকে নিজের ইচ্ছায় উপহার দিয়ে সপ্তাহের উৎসব পালন করবে।
11 And you have rejoiced before your God YHWH, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your handmaid, and the Levite who [is] within your gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] in your midst, in the place which your God YHWH chooses to cause His Name to dwell there,
আর তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নিজের নামের বাসস্থানের জন্য যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন সেখানে—তুমি, তোমার ছেলেমেয়ে, তোমার দাস-দাসীরা, তোমার নগরের লেবীয়রা ও বিদেশিরা, পিতৃহীনেরা ও বিধবারা যারা তোমাদের মধ্যে বাস করে সবাই আনন্দ করবে।
12 and you have remembered that you have been a servant in Egypt, and have observed and done these statutes.
মনে রাখবে তোমরাও মিশরে দাস ছিলে, এবং এসব অনুশাসন যত্নের সঙ্গে পালন করবে।
13 You observe the Celebration of Shelters for yourself [for] seven days, in your ingathering of your threshing-floor and of your wine-vat;
তোমাদের খামার এবং আঙুর মাড়াই করবার জায়গা থেকে সবকিছু তুলে রাখবার পরে তোমরা কুটিরবাস-পর্ব পালন করবে।
14 and you have rejoiced in your celebration, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your handmaid, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within your gates.
তোমাদের উৎসবে আনন্দ করবে—তুমি, তোমার ছেলেমেয়ে, তোমার দাস-দাসীরা, তোমার নগরের লেবীয়রা ও বিদেশিরা, পিতৃহীনেরা ও বিধবারা যারা তোমাদের মধ্যে বসবাস করে সবাই।
15 [For] seven days you celebrate before your God YHWH in the place which YHWH chooses, for your God YHWH blesses you in all your increase and in every work of your hands, and you have been only rejoicing.
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন সেখানেই তোমরা তাঁর উদ্দেশে সাত দিন ধরে এই উৎসব পালন করবে। কারণ তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের সমস্ত ফসলে ও হাতের সমস্ত কাজে আশীর্বাদ করবেন, এবং তোমাদের আনন্দ সম্পূর্ণ হবে।
16 Three times in a year all of your males appear before your God YHWH in the place which He chooses: in the Celebration of Unleavened Things, and in the Celebration of Weeks, and in the Celebration of Shelters; and they do not appear before YHWH empty;
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর মনোনীত জায়গায় তাঁর সামনে তোমাদের সব পুরুষ বছরে তিনবার উপস্থিত হবে খামিরবিহীন রুটির উৎসব, সপ্তাহের উৎসব এবং কুটিরবাস-পর্ব। সদাপ্রভুর সামনে কেউ খালি হাতে আসবে না
17 each [gives] according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of your God YHWH, which He has given to you.
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের যে পরিমাণ আশীর্বাদ করছেন তা বুঝে তোমাদের প্রত্যেকেই যেন কিছু না কিছু নিয়ে আসে।
18 You set for yourself judges and authorities within all your gates which your God YHWH is giving to you, for your tribes; and they have judged the people [with] a righteous judgment.
তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের যেসব নগর দিতে যাচ্ছেন তার প্রত্যেকটিতে প্রত্যেক গোষ্ঠীর জন্য তোমরা বিচারক ও কর্মকর্তা নিযুক্ত করবে, এবং তারা ন্যায়ভাবে লোকদের বিচার করবে।
19 You do not turn aside judgment; you do not discern faces, nor take a bribe, for the bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
অন্যায় বিচার করবে না কিংবা কারোর পক্ষ নেবে না। ঘুস নিয়ো না, কারণ ঘুস জ্ঞানীদের চোখ অন্ধ করে এবং নির্দোষ লোকদের কথা পরিবর্তন করে।
20 Righteousness—you pursue righteousness, so that you live and have possessed the land which your God YHWH is giving to you.
ন্যায্য কেবল ন্যায্যরই অনুগামী হবে, যেন তোমরা বেঁচে থেকে তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যে দেশ দেবেন তা অধিকার করতে পারো।
21 You do not plant an Asherah of any trees for yourself near the altar of your God YHWH, which you make for yourself,
তোমরা তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে যে যজ্ঞবেদি তৈরি করবে তার পাশে কোনোরকম কাঠের আশেরা-খুঁটি পুঁতবে না,
22 and you do not raise up any standing image for yourself which your God YHWH is hating.”
এবং কোনো পবিত্র পাথর খাড়া করবে না, কারণ তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু এসব ঘৃণা করেন।
