< Deuteronomy 15 >

1 “At the end of seven years you make a release,
Ku buli nkomerero y’omwaka ogw’omusanvu, amabanja gonna onoogasonyiwanga.
2 and this [is] the matter of the release: every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he lifts up against his neighbor, he does not exact of his neighbor and of his brother, but has proclaimed a release to YHWH;
Okusonyiwa okwo kunaabeeranga bwe kuti: buli muntu eyawola munne ebbanja, anaasazangamu ebbanja eryo lye yamuwola. Temubanjanga Bayisirayiri bannammwe, kubanga ebiro Mukama by’anaabanga ataddewo eby’okusonyiwagana amabanja binaabanga bimaze okulangirirwa.
3 of the stranger you may exact, but that which is yours with your brother your hand releases,
Onooyinzanga okubanja munnaggwanga akusasule, naye ebbanja muganda wo ly’akulinako onoolimusonyiwanga.
4 except there is an end [when] no poor [are] with you; for YHWH greatly blesses you in the land which your God YHWH is giving to you [for] an inheritance to possess it,
Naye tewaabeerengawo mwavu mu mmwe kubanga ng’otuuse mu nsi Mukama Katonda wo gy’akuwa okugyefunira ng’obutaka bwo obw’enkalakkalira n’akuyiwangako emikisa gye emingi,
5 only if you listen diligently to the voice of your God YHWH, to observe to do all this command which I am commanding you today.
kasita onoogonderanga ddala Mukama Katonda wo, n’ogoberera n’obwegendereza ebiragiro bino byonna bye nkuwa leero.
6 For your God YHWH has blessed you as He has spoken to you; and you have lent [to] many nations, but you have not borrowed; and you have ruled over many nations, but they do not rule over you.
Kubanga Mukama Katonda wo agenda kukuyiwako emikisa gye nga bwe yakusuubiza. Amawanga mangi onoogawolanga naye ggwe tojjanga kugeewolako. Onoofuganga amawanga mangi, naye go tegaakufugenga.
7 When there is with you any poor of one of your brothers, in one of your cities, in your land which your God YHWH is giving to you, you do not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your needy brother;
Bw’onoobanga oli mu bibuga by’omu nsi Mukama Katonda wo gy’akuwa, mu mmwe bwe munaabangamu munno omwavu ali mu kwetaaga tokakanyazanga mutima gwo wadde okukodowaliranga muganda wo oyo omwavu.

Omwanjululizanga engalo zo, n’omuwolanga n’okwagala kyonna ky’anaabanga yeetaaga okumuwewulako obuzibu bwe.
9 Take heed to yourself lest there be a worthless word in your heart, saying, The seventh year [is] near, the year of release; and your eye is evil against your needy brother, and you do not give to him, and he has called to YHWH concerning you, and it has been sin in you;
Weekuumenga nnyo olemenga kubeeranga na ndowooza eno embi mu mutima gwo nti, “Omwaka ogw’omusanvu ogw’okusonyiwa amabanja gusembedde,” muganda wo n’omukwatirwa ettima n’otobaako ky’omuwa. Muganda wo ayinza okujulira eri Mukama n’osangibwanga ng’ogudde mu kibi.
10 you certainly give to him, and your heart is not sad in your giving to him, for because of this thing your God YHWH blesses you in all your works and in every putting forth of your hand;
Muwenga n’okwagala n’obutajuliriranga, kubanga olw’omwoyo ng’ogwo, Mukama Katonda wo ajjanga kukuwanga omukisa mu mirimu gyo gyonna, ne mu buli kintu ky’onootuusangako engalo zo.
11 because the poor does not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding you, saying, You certainly open your hand to your brother, to your poor and to your needy one in your land.
Olwokubanga mu nsi temuubulengamu baavu abali mu kwetaaga, kyenva nkulagira nti muganda wo omwavu era ali mu kwetaaga omwanjululizanga engalo zo bulijjo mu nsi yo.
12 When your brother is sold to you, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he has served you [for] six years, then in the seventh year you send him away free from you.
Omusajja Omwebbulaniya oba omukazi Omwebbulaniya gw’onoobanga oguze okukuweerezanga, bw’anaamalangako emyaka omukaaga, mu mwaka ogw’omusanvu onoomuddizanga eddembe lye.
13 And when you send him away free from you, you do not send him away empty;
Era bw’onoomutanga tomusiibulanga ngalo nsa.
14 you certainly adorn him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your wine-vat; you give to him [from] that which your God YHWH has blessed you [with],
Omuwangako, nga teweebalira, ku magana go, ne ku mmere yo ey’empeke, ne ku wayini wo. Omuwanga nga Mukama Katonda wo bw’anaabanga akuwadde omukisa.
15 and you have remembered that you have been a servant in the land of Egypt, and your God YHWH ransoms you; therefore I am commanding you this thing today.
Ojjukiranga nga wali muddu mu nsi y’e Misiri, Mukama Katonda wo n’akununulayo. Noolwekyo kyenva nkuwa ekiragiro kino leero.
16 And it has been, when he says to you, I do not go out from you, because he has loved you and your house, because [it is] good for him with you,
Naye omuddu bw’anaakugambanga nti, “Sijja kuva wano,” kubanga akwagala nnyo ggwe n’abali mu maka go, era nga bw’abeera naawe aba bulungi;
17 then you have taken the awl, and have put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he has been a perpetual servant to you; and you also do so to your handmaid.
kale nno, onoomulazanga awali oluggi, n’oddira olukato n’olufumitanga mu kutu kwe okw’ebweru ne luyingira ne mu luggi; olwo anaabanga afuuse muweereza wo ennaku zonna ez’obulamu bwe bwonna. N’omuweereza wo omukazi naye onoomuyisanga bw’otyo.
18 It is not hard in your eyes in your sending him away free from you; for [his worth has been] double the hire of a hired worker [when] he has served you six years; and your God YHWH has blessed you in all that you do.
Tolowoozanga nti omukwatiddwa ekisa kubanga akuweerezza okumala emyaka mukaaga, nga buli mulimu gw’akola gwandikoleddwanga abaweereza ab’empeera babiri balamba. Era mu byonna by’onookolanga, Mukama Katonda wo anaakuwanga omukisa.
19 Every firstling that is born in your herd and in your flock—you sanctify the male to your God YHWH; you do not work with the firstling of your ox, nor shear the firstling of your flock;
Buli bibereberye ebisajja ebinaazaalibwanga mu ggana lyo ne mu kisibo kyo, onoobitukuzanga era binaabanga bya Mukama Katonda wo. Ente zo ennume embereberye tozikozesanga mirimu, n’endiga zo embereberye tozisalangako byoya.
20 you eat it before your God YHWH year by year, in the place which YHWH chooses, you and your house.
Ebibereberye ebyo onoobiryanga buli mwaka, buli mwaka, ggwe n’ab’omu nju yo bonna, nga mubiriiranga mu maaso ga Mukama Katonda wo, mu kifo Mukama ky’anaabanga yeerondedde.
21 And when there is a blemish in it, [or it is] lame or blind, [or has] any evil blemish, you do not sacrifice it to your God YHWH;
Ekisolo bwe kinaabeerangako akamogo, gamba nga kirema, oba nga kizibe kya maaso, oba nga kiriko ekikyamu kyonna ekinene, tokireetanga ng’ekiweebwayo eri Mukama Katonda wo.
22 you eat it within your gates, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe and as the deer.
Onookiriiranga mu bibuga byo. Omulongoofu n’atali mulongoofu mwenna munaabiryanga nga bwe munaalyanga empeewo oba enjaza.
23 Only, you do not eat its blood—you pour it on the earth as water.”
