< Deuteronomy 15 >

1 “At the end of seven years you make a release,
Nʼọgwụgwụ afọ asaa ọbụla, ị ga-akagbu ụgwọ niile mmadụ ji gị.
2 and this [is] the matter of the release: every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he lifts up against his neighbor, he does not exact of his neighbor and of his brother, but has proclaimed a release to YHWH;
3 of the stranger you may exact, but that which is yours with your brother your hand releases,
Mgbaghara a erughị nʼebe ndị ọbịa nọ, ma ị ghaghị ịkagbu ụgwọ ọbụla nwanna gị ji gị.
4 except there is an end [when] no poor [are] with you; for YHWH greatly blesses you in the land which your God YHWH is giving to you [for] an inheritance to possess it,
Otu ọ dị, o kwesighị ka ndị ogbenye dịrị nʼetiti gị, nʼihi nʼala ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị na-enye gị ka inweta dịka ihe nketa gị, ọ ga-agọzi gị nke ukwuu,

ma ọ bụrụ na i rube isi nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ma lezie anya debe iwu ndị a niile m na-enye gị taa.
6 For your God YHWH has blessed you as He has spoken to you; and you have lent [to] many nations, but you have not borrowed; and you have ruled over many nations, but they do not rule over you.
7 When there is with you any poor of one of your brothers, in one of your cities, in your land which your God YHWH is giving to you, you do not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your needy brother;
Ma mgbe ị banyere nʼala ahụ Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu na-enye gị, a sị na e nwee onye ogbenye nʼetiti gị, nke bụ onye Izrel ibe gị, ị gaghị emechi obi gị maọbụ kechie aka gị megide ya,
8 for you certainly open your hand to him, and certainly lend him sufficiency for his lack which he lacks.
ị ghaghị ịgbazinye ya ihe dị ka o si chọọ.
9 Take heed to yourself lest there be a worthless word in your heart, saying, The seventh year [is] near, the year of release; and your eye is evil against your needy brother, and you do not give to him, and he has called to YHWH concerning you, and it has been sin in you;
Lezie anya ka ị ghara inwe ụdị echiche ọjọọ a nʼobi gị sị, “Afọ mgbaghara ụgwọ na-abịa nso,” nʼihi ya, i kechie obi gị jụ ibinye nwanna gị nọ na mkpa ihe ọ chọrọ. Ọ bụrụ na onye ahụ nọ na mkpa akwaa akwa kpọkuo Onyenwe anyị, a ga-agụ gị dịka onye ikpe mmehie mara.
10 you certainly give to him, and your heart is not sad in your giving to him, for because of this thing your God YHWH blesses you in all your works and in every putting forth of your hand;
Ị ghaghị inye ha site nʼafọ ofufu, meekwa nke a na-enweghị obi ilu, mgbe ahụ, nʼihi nke a, Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị ga-agọzi gị nʼọrụ gị niile nakwa ihe niile nke ị tinyere aka na ya.
11 because the poor does not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding you, saying, You certainly open your hand to your brother, to your poor and to your needy one in your land.
A ghaghị inwe ndị ogbenye nʼetiti unu, ọ bụ ya mere iwu a jiri dị mkpa. Gbasapụ aka nʼebe nwanna gị na nʼebe ndị ogbenye na ndị nọ na mkpa nọ.
12 When your brother is sold to you, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he has served you [for] six years, then in the seventh year you send him away free from you.
Ọ bụrụ na onye Hibru ibe gị, ndị nwoke maọbụ ndị nwanyị, eresi gị onwe ha, gbakwaara gị odibo afọ isii, nʼafọ nke asaa, ị ghaghị ịhapụ ha ka ha nwere onwe ha.
13 And when you send him away free from you, you do not send him away empty;
Mgbe ọ hapụrụ ụlọ gị, ezipụkwala ya nʼaka efu!
14 you certainly adorn him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your wine-vat; you give to him [from] that which your God YHWH has blessed you [with],
Ị ga-esite nʼigwe anụ ụlọ gị, na nʼebe ịzọcha ọka gị, na nʼebe ịzọcha vaịnị gị, nye ya onyinye pụrụ iche iji sị ya laa nʼudo. Nye ya onyinye a dịka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị si gọzie gị.
15 and you have remembered that you have been a servant in the land of Egypt, and your God YHWH ransoms you; therefore I am commanding you this thing today.
Cheta na ị bụrị ohu nʼala Ijipt ma Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke gị gbapụtara gị. Ọ bụ nʼihi ya ka m ji na-enye gị iwu a taa.
16 And it has been, when he says to you, I do not go out from you, because he has loved you and your house, because [it is] good for him with you,
Ma ọ bụrụ na ohu gị asị gị, “Achọghị m ịhapụ gị,” nʼihi na ọ hụrụ gị na ndị ụlọ gị nʼanya, hụkwa na ihe na-agara gị na ya nke ọma, mgbe gị na ya nọ.
17 then you have taken the awl, and have put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he has been a perpetual servant to you; and you also do so to your handmaid.
Were agịga kpọpuo ntị ya nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ gị. Ọ ga-abụkwara gị ohu ogologo ndụ ya niile. Otu aka ahụ kwa ka ị ga-eme ohu gị nwanyị.
18 It is not hard in your eyes in your sending him away free from you; for [his worth has been] double the hire of a hired worker [when] he has served you six years; and your God YHWH has blessed you in all that you do.
Enwela obi mwute mgbe ọbụla ị na-ahapụ ohu gị ka o nwere onwe ya, nʼihi na ị ga-echeta na ọ rụụrụ gị ọrụ afọ isii, ihe i mefukwara erughị ọkara ihe ị gaara eji goo ndị ọrụ. Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-agọzikwa gị nʼihe niile ị na-eme.
19 Every firstling that is born in your herd and in your flock—you sanctify the male to your God YHWH; you do not work with the firstling of your ox, nor shear the firstling of your flock;
Nwa oke ehi ọbụla maọbụ nwa atụrụ ọbụla maọbụ nwa ewu ọbụla e bụ ụzọ mụọ nʼime igwe anụ ụlọ gị ka ị ga-edo nsọ nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, ejila nwa mbụ nke ehi gị e buru ụzọ mụọ arụ ọrụ ubi, akpachakwala ajị nwa ewu maọbụ nwa atụrụ ọbụla e buru ụzọ mụọ dị nʼime igwe ewu na atụrụ gị.
20 you eat it before your God YHWH year by year, in the place which YHWH chooses, you and your house.
Gị na ezinaụlọ gị ga-eri anụ ndị a nʼihu Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị afọ ọbụla nʼebe ọ họpụtara.
21 And when there is a blemish in it, [or it is] lame or blind, [or has] any evil blemish, you do not sacrifice it to your God YHWH;
Ma ọ bụrụ na nwa anụ ọbụla e buru ụzọ mụọ nwere nkwarụ, dịka ngwụrọ maọbụ ìsì maọbụ nkwarụ ọbụla nke jọrọ njọ, ị gaghị eji ya achụ aja nye Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị.
22 you eat it within your gates, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe and as the deer.
Kama, ka ọ bụrụ ihe oriri nye ezinaụlọ gị nʼime ụlọ gị. Onye ọbụla, ma ndị dị ọcha ma onye rụrụ arụ nʼoge ahụ ga-eri ya, dịka onye ọbụla pụrụ iri anụ ele maọbụ anụ mgbada.
23 Only, you do not eat its blood—you pour it on the earth as water.”
Ma erila ọbara ya. Wụsa ya nʼala dịka mmiri.
