< Deuteronomy 13 >

1 “When a prophet or a dreamer of a dream arises in your midst, and he has given a sign or wonder to you,
Bí wòlíì tàbí alásọtẹ́lẹ̀ nípa àlá lílá bá farahàn láàrín yín, tí ó sì ń kéde iṣẹ́ àmì tàbí iṣẹ́ ìyanu,
2 and the sign and the wonder has come to pass, which he has spoken of to you, saying, Let us go after other gods (which you have not known) and serve them,
bí iṣẹ́ àmì tàbí iṣẹ́ ìyanu tí ó sọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ bá ṣẹ tí òun sì wí pé, “ẹ wá ẹ jẹ́ kí a tẹ̀lé ọlọ́run mìíràn” (àwọn ọlọ́run tí ẹ kò mọ̀ rí) “kí ẹ sì jẹ́ kí a máa sìn wọ́n,”
3 you do not listen to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of the dream, for your God YHWH is trying you to know whether you are loving your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul;
ẹ má fetí sí ọ̀rọ̀ wòlíì tàbí àlá náà, Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ń dán an yín wò ni, láti mọ̀ bóyá ẹ fẹ́ràn rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú gbogbo àyà yín àti gbogbo ọkàn an yín.
4 you walk after your God YHWH, and you fear Him, and you keep His commands, and you listen to His voice, and you serve Him, and you cleave to Him.
Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ni kí ẹ tẹ̀lé, Òun ni kí ẹ bu ọlá fún, ẹ pa òfin rẹ̀ mọ́ kí ẹ sì gbọ́ tirẹ̀, ẹ sìn ín, kí ẹ sì dìímú ṣinṣin.
5 And that prophet or that dreamer of the dream is put to death, for he has spoken apostasy against your God YHWH (who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, and has ransomed you out of a house of servants), to drive you out of the way in which your God YHWH has commanded you to walk, and you have put away evil from your midst.
Wòlíì náà tàbí alálàá náà ni kí ẹ pa, nítorí pé wàásù ìṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín, tí ó mú yín jáde láti Ejibiti wá, tí ó sì rà yín padà lóko ẹrú. Ó ti gbìyànjú láti fà yín kúrò lójú ọ̀nà tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín ti pàṣẹ fún un yín láti máa rìn. Ẹ gbọdọ̀ yọ ibi náà kúrò láàrín yín.
6 When your brother, son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who [is] as your own soul, moves you in secret, saying, Let us go and serve other gods (which you have not known, you and your fathers,
Bí arákùnrin tìrẹ gan an ọmọ ìyá rẹ tàbí ọmọ rẹ ọkùnrin tàbí obìnrin, aya tí o fẹ́ràn jù, tàbí ọ̀rẹ́ tímọ́tímọ́ bá tàn ọ́ jẹ níkọ̀kọ̀ wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí a lọ sin ọlọ́run mìíràn” (ọlọ́run tí ìwọ tàbí baba rẹ kò mọ̀,
7 of the gods of the peoples who [are] around you, who are near to you, or who are far off from you, from the end of the earth even to the [other] end of the earth),
ọlọ́run àwọn tí ó wà láyìíká yín, yálà wọ́n jìnnà tàbí wọ́n wà nítòsí, láti òpin ilẹ̀ kan dé òmíràn),
8 you do not consent to him, nor listen to him, nor does your eye have pity on him, nor do you spare, nor do you cover him over.
má ṣe fetí sí i, má sì dá sí i, má ṣe dáàbò bò ó.
9 But you surely kill him; your hand is on him in the first place to put him to death, and the hand of all the people last;
Ṣùgbọ́n pípa ni kí o pa á. Ọwọ́ rẹ ni yóò kọ́kọ́ wà lára rẹ̀ láti pa á, lẹ́yìn náà ọwọ́ gbogbo ènìyàn.
10 and you have stoned him with stones and he has died, for he has sought to drive you away from your God YHWH, who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants;
Sọ ọ́ ní òkúta pa nítorí pé ó gbìyànjú láti fà ọ́ kúrò lẹ́yìn Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, tí ó mú ọ jáde ti Ejibiti wá kúrò ní oko ẹrú.
11 and all Israel hears and fears, and does not add to do like this evil thing in your midst.
Gbogbo Israẹli yóò sì gbọ́, ẹ̀rù yóò sì bà wọ́n, kò sì sí ẹnikẹ́ni nínú yín tí yóò dán irú ibi bẹ́ẹ̀ wò mọ́.
12 When you hear [someone] in one of your cities, which your God YHWH is giving to you to dwell there, saying,
Bí ẹ̀yin bá gbọ́ tí a sọ nípa èyíkéyìí nínú àwọn ìlú u yín tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín fún un yín láti máa gbé,
13 Men, sons of worthlessness, have gone out of your midst, and they force away the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods (which you have not known),
pé àwọn ènìyàn búburú, ti farahàn láàrín yín, tí ó sì ti mú kí àwọn ènìyàn ìlú wọn ṣìnà lọ, tí wọ́n wí pé, “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a lọ sin ọlọ́run mìíràn.” (àwọn ọlọ́run tí ẹ kò mọ̀.)
14 then you have inquired, and searched, and asked diligently, and behold, [if] truth, the thing is established; this abomination has been done in your midst—
Kí ẹ wádìí, ẹ béèrè, kí ẹ sì tọpinpin ọ̀rọ̀ náà dájúṣáká, bí ó bá jẹ́ òtítọ́ ni, tí ó sì hàn dájú pé ìwà ìríra yìí ti ṣẹlẹ̀ láàrín yín.
15 you surely strike the inhabitants of that city by the mouth of the sword, devoting it and all that [is] in it, even its livestock, by the mouth of the sword.
Gbogbo àwọn tí ó ń gbé ìlú náà ni kí ẹ fi idà run pátápátá. Ẹ run ún pátápátá, àti ènìyàn àti ẹran ọ̀sìn inú rẹ̀.
16 And you gather all its spoil into the midst of its broad place, and have completely burned the city and all its spoil with fire for your God YHWH, and it has been a continuous heap, it is not built anymore;
Ẹ kó gbogbo ìkógun ìlú náà, sí àárín gbogbo ènìyàn, kí ẹ sun ìlú náà àti gbogbo ìkógun rẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹbọ sísun sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ. Ó gbọdọ̀ wà ní píparun láéláé, ẹnikẹ́ni kò gbọdọ̀ tún un kọ.
17 and nothing from any of that [which is] devoted stays in your hand, so that YHWH turns back from the fierceness of His anger, and has given mercies to you, and loved you, and multiplied you, as He has sworn to your fathers,
A kò gbọdọ̀ rí ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ohun ìyàsọ́tọ̀ fún ìparun wọ̀n-ọn-nì lọ́wọ́ yín, kí Olúwa ba à le yípadà kúrò nínú ìbínú gbígbóná rẹ̀, yóò sì ṣàánú fún un yín, yóò sì bá a yín kẹ́dùn, yóò sì mú kí ẹ pọ̀ sí i, bí ó ti fì búra ṣèlérí fún àwọn baba ńlá yín.
18 because you listen to the voice of your God YHWH, to keep all his commands which I am commanding you today, to do that which [is] right in the eyes of your God YHWH.”
Nítorí pé ẹ̀yin gbọ́rọ̀ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín, tí ẹ̀yin sì ń pa òfin rẹ̀ mọ́, tí mo ń fún un yín lónìí yìí, tí ẹ̀yin sì ń ṣe ohun tí ó tọ́ lójú rẹ̀.
