Deuteronomy 13
1 “When a prophet or a dreamer of a dream arises in your midst, and he has given a sign or wonder to you,
Nangmouh koe profet hoehpawiteh, mang ka mang thai e buetbuet touh tâcawt boilah, mitnoutnae hoehpawiteh, kângairunae na poe awh teh,
2 and the sign and the wonder has come to pass, which he has spoken of to you, saying, Let us go after other gods (which you have not known) and serve them,
hote mitnoutnae hoehpawiteh kângairunae hah akuep nakunghai, nang ni na panue hoeh e alouke cathut koe cet awh sei, bawk awh sei telah ahni ni dei pawiteh,
3 you do not listen to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of the dream, for your God YHWH is trying you to know whether you are loving your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul;
hote e profet hoehpawiteh, mang ka mang e lawk hah na tarawi mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nangmouh teh nangmae BAWIPA Cathut hah na lungthin buemlahoi thoseh, na hringnae buemlahoi thoseh lung na pataw ou, pataw hoeh ou tie hah panue nahanelah nangmae BAWIPA Cathut ni nangmouh na tanouknae doeh.
4 you walk after your God YHWH, and you fear Him, and you keep His commands, and you listen to His voice, and you serve Him, and you cleave to Him.
Nangmae BAWIPA Cathut hnuk na kâbang awh han. Takinae lung hoi kâpoelawknaw hah na tarawi awh han. A lawk ngâi laihoi na bawk awh vaiteh, BAWIPA dawk rek na kâhnai awh han.
5 And that prophet or that dreamer of the dream is put to death, for he has spoken apostasy against your God YHWH (who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, and has ransomed you out of a house of servants), to drive you out of the way in which your God YHWH has commanded you to walk, and you have put away evil from your midst.
San lah na onae hmuen Izip ram hoi nangmouh na katâcawtkhai e nangmae BAWIPA Cathut koehoi phen sak hanelah thoseh, nangmae BAWIPA Cathut ni lawk na thui e lam dawk hoi phen sak hanelah a dei awh dawkvah, hote profet hai thoseh, mang ka mang thai e hai thoseh, a due nahanelah na thei awh han. Hottelah nangmouh koehoi yonnae hah na takhoe awh han.
6 When your brother, son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who [is] as your own soul, moves you in secret, saying, Let us go and serve other gods (which you have not known, you and your fathers,
Nang ni na panue hoeh e, na mintoenaw ni hai a panue hoeh e alouke cathutnaw koe, cet awh sei, bawk awh sei, telah a dei teh, na hmaunawngha, na capanaw, na canunaw
7 of the gods of the peoples who [are] around you, who are near to you, or who are far off from you, from the end of the earth even to the [other] end of the earth),
Talai apoutnae koehoi avanglah apoutnae koe totouh, na tengpam vah, a hnai ahlanae koe kaawm e taminaw e cathutnaw ni na ka tacuek nakunghai thoseh,
8 you do not consent to him, nor listen to him, nor does your eye have pity on him, nor do you spare, nor do you cover him over.
nang ni na tarawi mahoeh. A lawk na ngâi pouh mahoeh. Na mit ni pahren mahoeh. Ahni hah na pasai mahoeh. Na hrawk mahoeh.
9 But you surely kill him; your hand is on him in the first place to put him to death, and the hand of all the people last;
Na thei roeroe han. Na thei nahanelah na kut hmaloe na pho vaiteh, hathnukkhu tami pueng ni kut a pho awh van han.
10 and you have stoned him with stones and he has died, for he has sought to drive you away from your God YHWH, who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants;
Santoungnae koe Izip ram hoi nangmouh na katâcawtkhai e na BAWIPA Cathut koehoi pâlei hanelah a kâcai dawkvah, ahni hah talung hoi na dei vaiteh na thei han.
11 and all Israel hears and fears, and does not add to do like this evil thing in your midst.
Hote kamthang hah Isarelnaw pueng ni a thai awh vaiteh, hot patetlah e hno hah nangmouh thung dawk bout sak laipalah ao awh nahane doeh.
12 When you hear [someone] in one of your cities, which your God YHWH is giving to you to dwell there, saying,
Tami kahawi hoeh naw teh nangmouh thung hoi a tâco awh teh, nangmouh ni na panue awh hoeh e alouke cathut koe cei awh vaiteh bawk awh sei telah a dei awh teh,
13 Men, sons of worthlessness, have gone out of your midst, and they force away the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods (which you have not known),
ahnimouh ni khocanaw a dum awh e hah, nange BAWIPA Cathut ni na o nahanelah na poe e kho buetbuet touh dawk kamthang na thai pawiteh, hote kong hah kamcengcalah na pacei han.
14 then you have inquired, and searched, and asked diligently, and behold, [if] truth, the thing is established; this abomination has been done in your midst—
Kamthang na thai e patetlah kamceng boilah, hot patet e panuettho e hno sak katang pawiteh,
15 you surely strike the inhabitants of that city by the mouth of the sword, devoting it and all that [is] in it, even its livestock, by the mouth of the sword.
hote khocanaw hah tahloi hoi na thei han. Khopui hoi khopui dawk kaawm e tami hoi saringnaw pueng koung na raphoe han.
16 And you gather all its spoil into the midst of its broad place, and have completely burned the city and all its spoil with fire for your God YHWH, and it has been a continuous heap, it is not built anymore;
Na lawp awh e hnopainaw pueng kho lungui lam dawk na hmouk awh vaiteh, hote khopui dawk hoi na lawp awh e pueng, nangmae BAWIPA Cathut hanelah hmai na sawi awh han. Hote khopui teh songnawng lah pou ao han. A hnukkhu bout kangdout mahoeh toe.
17 and nothing from any of that [which is] devoted stays in your hand, so that YHWH turns back from the fierceness of His anger, and has given mercies to you, and loved you, and multiplied you, as He has sworn to your fathers,
BAWIPA ni a lungkhueknae hue a roum sak teh, na mintoenaw koe lawkkam e patetlah na rungngang vaiteh na pungdaw sak nahanelah, thoebo e hno buet touh boehai lat laipalah, abuemlahoi na tâkhawng han.
18 because you listen to the voice of your God YHWH, to keep all his commands which I am commanding you today, to do that which [is] right in the eyes of your God YHWH.”
Sahnin kai ni lawk na thui e patetlah BAWIPA Cathut e lawk hah ngâi awh nateh, kâpoelawk pueng hah na tarawi vaiteh, BAWIPA Cathut e hmalah, kalan e hno hah sak awh nateh, BAWIPA Cathut e lawk hah tarawi awh.
