< Deuteronomy 12 >

1 “These [are] the statutes and the judgments which you observe to do in the land which YHWH, God of your fathers, has given to you to possess it, all the days that you are living on the ground.
Long ah na hing o thung, nam panawk ih Angraeng Sithaw mah toep han paek ih prae thungah na oh o naah, acoehaih hoiah na pazui o han ih zaehhoihaih daannawk hoi lokcaekhaihnawk loe hae tiah oh.
2 You utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you are dispossessing served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the heights, and under every green tree;
Na toep o han ih acaengnawk mah mae sang, maesom hoi kahing thing tlim boih ah sak o ih, sithaw bokhaih ahmuennawk to phrae oh;
3 and you have broken down their altars, and shattered their standing pillars, and you burn their Asherim with fire, and you cut down carved images of their gods, and have destroyed their name out of that place.
nihcae ih hmaicamnawk to phrae oh loe, a thlingh o ih thlungnawk to va pae o phaeng ah; Asherah tungnawk to hmai hoiah thlaek pae oh; ban hoi a sak o moe, sithaw ah a bok o ih krangnawk to paro pae oh loe, to ahmuen ih ahminnawk to phrae oh.
4 You do not do so to your God YHWH;
Nangcae loe to tiah na Angraeng Sithaw to bok han om ai.
5 rather—that you seek after the place which your God YHWH chooses out of all your tribes to put His Name there, for His Dwelling Place, and you have entered there,
Angmah ih ahmin to caksak hanah, nangcae loe nangmacae Angraeng Sithaw mah acaengnawk boih thung hoiah qoih ih a ohhaih ahmuen to pakrong oh loe, to ahmuen ah caeh oh.
6 and have brought in there your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the raised-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your free-will offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock;
To ahmuen ah hmai angbawnhaih, hmuen tathlanghaih, hato thungah maeto paek ih hmuennawk, tangqum ah paek ih hmuennawk, paek han lokkam ih hmuennawk, palung angthawkhaih hoiah paek ih hmuennawk, tapen tangsuek maitawnawk hoi tuucaanawk to sin oh;
7 and you have eaten there before your God YHWH, and have rejoiced in every putting forth of your hand, you and your households, with which your God YHWH has blessed you.
to ahmuen ah na Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah caa oh; na sak o ih hmuen boih ah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han tahamhoihaih paek pongah, nangmah hoi na imthung takoh boih anghoe oh.
8 You do not do according to all that we are doing here today—each [doing] anything that is right in his own eyes—
Nangcae loe vaihniah haeah a sak o ih hmuen baktiah to ah sah o hmah; haeah loe kami boih mah a mik hoiah hnuk ih kahoih hmuen baktih toengah a sak o.
9 for until now you have not come to the rest and to the inheritance which your God YHWH is giving to you.
Nangcae loe Angraeng Sithaw mah qawktoep hanah paek ih anghakhaih prae thungah na pha o ai vop.
10 When you have passed over the Jordan, and have dwelt in the land which your God YHWH is causing you to inherit, and He has given rest to you from all your surrounding enemies, and you have dwelt confidently,
Toe Jordan vapui to nang kat o moe, na Angraeng Sithaw mah qawktoep hanah paek ih prae thungah na kun o pacoeng naah loe, na taengah kaom na misanawk salak hoiah anghakhaih to na paek o ueloe, misa monghaih hoiah kho na sah o tih;
11 then it has been, the place on which your God YHWH fixes to cause His Name to dwell there, there you bring in all that which I am commanding you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the raised-offering of your hand, and all the choice of your vows which you vow to YHWH.
to pacoengah na Angraeng Sithaw ih ahmin to oh hanah, a qoih ih ahmuen ah kang thuih o ih hmuennawk boih to sin oh; hmai angbawnhaih, hmuen tathlanghaihnawk, hato thungah maeto paek ih hmuennawk, palung angthawkhaih hoiah paek ih hmuennawk, na tawnh o ih hmuenmae thung hoiah lokkamhaih sak pacoengah, Angraeng han paek ih hmuennawk boih to sin oh:
12 And you have rejoiced before your God YHWH, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your handmaids, and the Levite who [is] within your gates, for he has no part and inheritance with you.
na Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah, nangmah hoi na canu na capanawk, na tamna nongpa hoi nongpatanawk, angmah taham tawn ai, qawk doeh toep ai ah, nangcae salakah kaom, Levi kaminawk hoi nawnto anghoe oh.
13 Take heed to yourself lest you cause your burnt-offerings to ascend in any place which you see;
Na hnuk o ih ahmuen kruekah, hmai angbawnhaih to sah o hmah;
14 rather—that in the place which YHWH chooses in one of your tribes, there you cause your burnt-offerings to ascend, and there you do all that which I am commanding you.
nangmacae acaeng thung hoiah Angraeng mah qoih ih ahmuen khue ah hmai angbawnhaih to sah oh; kang thuih o ih loknawk boih, to ahmuen ah sah oh.
15 Nevertheless, you slaughter anything of the desire of your soul, and have eaten [its] flesh according to the blessing of your God YHWH which He has given to you in all your gates; the unclean and the clean eat it, as [if] the roe and as [if] the deer.
Toe na Angraeng Sithaw mah tahamhoihaih paek baktih toengah, na ohhaih ahmuen kruekah caak na koeh o nahaeloe, moi to bop oh loe caa oh; tasuk hoi sakhinawk loe kaciim kami mah doeh, kaciim ai kami mah doeh caak thaih.
16 Only, you do not eat the blood—you pour it on the earth as water;
Toe athii loe caa o hmah; tui baktiah long ah krai oh.
17 you are not able to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, and of your new wine, and your oil, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock, and any of your vows which you vow, and your free-will offerings, and a raised-offering of your hand;
Hato thungah maeto paek ih cang maw, to tih ai boeh loe misurtui hoi situinawk maw, to tih ai boeh loe tapen tangsuek maitaw caanawk hoi tuucaanawk, lokkam ih baktiah paek ih hmuennawk maw, palung angthawk hoiah paek ih hmuennawk maw, tangqum ah paek ih hmuennawk maw, to tih ai boeh loe abomhhaih ah paek ih hmuennawk loe nangmacae vangpui khongkha thungah caa o hmah;
18 but you eat it before your God YHWH in the place which your God YHWH fixes on, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your handmaid, and the Levite who [is] within your gates, and you have rejoiced before your God YHWH in every putting forth of your hand;
to baktih hmuennawk loe, na Angraeng Sithaw mah qoih ih ahmuen ah, na Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah caa oh; nangmah hoi na canu, na capanawk, na tamna nongpa hoi nongpatanawk, na vangpui thungah kaom Levinawk hoi nawnto caa oh; na sak o ih hmuen boih ah, na Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah anghoe oh.
19 take heed to yourself lest you forsake the Levite [for] all your days on your ground.
Long nuiah na hing o thung, Levi acaengnawk pahnawt sut han ai ah acoe oh.
20 When your God YHWH enlarges your border, as He has spoken to you, and you have said, Let me eat flesh—for your soul desires to eat flesh—you eat flesh of all the desire of your soul.
Na Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, na prae to lensak naah, moi anghaeh parai pongah, moi ka caak o han vop, tiah na thuih o nahaeloe, na koek zetto moi to na caak o thaih.
21 When the place is far from you [in] which your God YHWH chooses to put His Name there, then you have sacrificed from your herd and from your flock which YHWH has given to you, as I have commanded you, and have eaten within your gates, of all the desire of your soul;
Na Angraeng Sithaw mah angmah ih ahmin to suek hanah, a qoih ih ahmuen to nangcae ohhaih ahmuen hoiah angthla parai nahaeloe, Angraeng mah paek ih tuu hoi maitaw to bop oh loe, kang thuih o ih lok baktih toengah, na oh o haih ahmuen ah koeh karoek to caa oh.
22 only, as the roe and the deer is eaten, so do you eat it; the unclean and the clean alike eat it.
Tasuk hoi sakhi moi to na caak o baktih toengah, kaciim kami doeh, kaciim ai kami doeh caak thaih.
23 Only, be sure not to eat the blood, for the blood [is] the life, and you do not eat the life with the flesh;
Toe athii loe caa o hmah; hinghaih loe athii ah oh; to pongah hinghaih to moi hoi nawnto caa o hmah.
24 you do not eat it—you pour it on the earth as water;
Athii to caa o hmah; tui baktiah long ah krai oh.
25 you do not eat it, in order that it may be well with you and with your sons after you when you do that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH.
Athii to caa o hmah; to tiah nahaeloe Angraeng mikhnuk ah katoeng hmuen to na sak o pongah, nangmah hoi hmabang angzo han koi na caanawk to khoisak hoih o tih.
26 Only, your holy things which you have, and your vows, you take up, and have gone to the place which YHWH chooses,
Toe na paek ih kaciim hmuennawk, paek han lokkamhaih sak baktih toengah paek ih hmuennawk to sin oh loe, Angraeng mah qoih ih ahmuen ah caeh oh.
27 and you have made your burnt-offerings—the flesh and the blood—on the altar of your God YHWH; and the blood of your sacrifices is poured out by the altar of your God YHWH, and you eat the flesh.
Angan hoiah maw, athii hoiah maw sak ih hmai angbawnhaih to na Angraeng Sithaw ih hmaicam nuiah sah oh; angbawnhaih athii to na Angraeng Sithaw ih hmaicam nuiah krai oh loe, angan to loe caa oh.
28 Observe, and you have obeyed all these words which I am commanding you, in order that it may be well with you and with your sons after you for all time, when you do that which [is] good and right in the eyes of your God YHWH.
Hae tiah kang paek o ih loknawk boih hae tahngai oh loe, sah oh; to tiah na sak o nahaeloe, Angraeng mikhnuk ah kahoih hoi kamsoem tok to na sak o pongah, nangmacae hoi angzo han koi na caanawk khosak hoih o tih.
29 When your God YHWH cuts off the nations—to where you are going in to possess them—from your presence, and you have possessed them, and have dwelt in their land—
Na Angraeng Sithaw mah na caeh o moe, toep han ih prae thungah kaom kaminawk to nangcae hma ah amrosak boih naah, nangcae loe na caeh o tih, nihcae ih prae to na toep o ueloe, nihcae ih prae thungah kho na sah o tih;
30 take heed to yourself lest you are ensnared after them, after their being destroyed out of your presence, and lest you inquire about their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods, that I also do so?
nangcae hma hoiah nihcae anghmat o boih pacoengah, nihcae ih tuinuen to pazui moe, dongh pongah aman han ai, nihcae loe kawbangah maw angmacae ih sithaw to bok o moe, tok a sak pae o? A sak o ih hmuen baktih toengah, ka sak o toeng han, tiah na hnik o han ai ah, acoe oh.
31 You do not do so to your God YHWH; for every abomination that YHWH has hated they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters with fire for their gods.
Nihcae mah sak o ih baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw khaeah sah o hmah; nihcae loe Angraeng mah hnukma moe, panuet ih hmuennawk hoiah angmacae ih sithawnawk to bok o; a capanawk hoi a canunawk mataeng doeh angmacae ih sithawnawk hma ah hmai angbawnhaih ah a paek o.
32 The whole thing which I am commanding you, you observe to do it; you do not add to it, nor diminish from it.”
Kang paek o ih loknawk boih hae pazui oh loe sah oh; patomh o hmah, azuk doeh azuk o hmah.
