< Deuteronomy 11 >

1 “And you have loved your God YHWH, and kept His charge, and His statutes, and His judgments, and His commands, [for] all the days;
Ko ia ke ke “ʻOfa kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea tauhi maʻuaipē ʻene pule, mo ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, mo ʻene ngaahi fakamaau, mo ʻene ngaahi fekau.
2 and you have known today—for it is not your sons who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of your God YHWH, His greatness, His strong hand, and His outstretched arm;
Pea ke mou ʻilo he ʻaho ni: he ʻoku ʻikai te u lea pe ki hoʻomou fānau ʻaia naʻe ʻikai ke ʻilo, pe mamata ki he tautea meia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ko ʻene māfimafi, mo hono nima mālohi, mo hono nima kuo mafao atu,
3 and His signs and His doings which He has done in the midst of Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to all his land;
Mo ʻene ngaahi mana, mo ʻene ngaahi ngāue, ʻaia naʻa ne fai ʻi loto ʻIsipite, kia Felo ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsipite, pea ki hono fonua kotoa pē;
4 and that which He has done to the force of Egypt, to its horses, and to its chariot, when He has caused the waters of the Red Sea to flow against their faces in their pursuing after them, and YHWH destroys them, to this day;
Pea mo ia naʻa ne fai ki he kautau ʻo ʻIsipite, ki heʻenau fanga hoosi, pea ki heʻenau ngaahi saliote; ʻa ʻene ngaohi ʻae vai ʻoe Tahi Kulokula ke lōmakiʻi ʻakinautolu ʻi heʻenau tuli ʻakimoutolu, pea mo e fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻe Sihova ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ni;
5 and that which He has done to you in the wilderness until your coming to this place;
Mo ia naʻa ne fai kiate kimoutolu ʻi he toafa ʻo aʻu ki hoʻomou hoko ki he potu ni;
6 and that which He has done to Dathan and to Abiram, sons of Eliab, sons of Reuben, when the earth has opened her mouth and swallows them, and their houses, and their tents, and all that lives which is at their feet, in the midst of all Israel—
Pea mo ia naʻa ne fai kia Tatani mo ʻEpilami, ko e ongo foha ʻo ʻIliapi, ko e foha ʻo Lupeni: ʻi he mafaʻa ʻe he kelekele hono ngutu, ʻo ne folo hifo ʻakinaua, mo hona kakai, mo hona ngaahi fale fehikitaki, mo e meʻa moʻui kotoa pē naʻa na maʻu, ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo ʻIsileli kotoa pē:
7 but [it is] your eyes which are seeing all the great work of YHWH which He has done.
Ka kuo mamata ʻe homou mata ki he ngaahi ngāue lahi kotoa pē ʻa Sihova ʻaia naʻa ne fai.
8 And you have kept all the command which I am commanding you today, so that you are strong, and have gone in, and possessed the land to where you are passing over to possess it,
Ko ia ke mou tauhi ai ʻae ngaahi fekau ʻoku ou fekau ai kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻaho ni, koeʻuhi ke mou mālohi, pea ʻalu atu ʻo maʻu ʻae fonua, ʻaia ʻoku mou ʻalu ke nofo ai;
9 and so that you prolong days on the ground which YHWH has sworn to your fathers to give to them and to their seed—a land flowing with milk and honey.
Pea koeʻuhi ke mou fakatolonga ai homou ngaahi ʻaho ʻi he fonua, ʻaia naʻe fuakava ai ʻa Sihova ki hoʻomou ngaahi tamai ke foaki kiate kinautolu mo honau hako, ko e fonua ʻoku mahutafea ʻi he huʻahuhu mo e honi.
10 For the land to where you are going in to possess it is not as the land of Egypt from where you have come out, where you sow your seed and have watered with your foot, as a garden of the green herb;
“Ka ko e fonua, ʻaia ʻoku mou ʻalu ke maʻu ia, ʻoku ʻikai tatau mo e fonua ko ʻIsipite, ʻaia naʻa mou haʻu mei ai, ʻaia naʻa ke tūtuuʻi ai hoʻo tengaʻi ʻakau, pea fakaviviku ʻaki ia ho vaʻe, ʻo hangē ha ngoue ʻoe ngaahi ʻakau kai:
11 but the land to where you are passing over to possess it [is] a land of hills and valleys—it drinks water of the rain of the heavens—
Ka ko e fonua, ʻoku mou ʻalu ai ke mou maʻu, ko e fonua moʻungaʻia mo tokalelei, pea ʻoku ne inu vai ʻi he ʻuha mei he langi:
12 a land which your God YHWH is searching; the eyes of your God YHWH [are] continually on it, from the beginning of the year even to the latter end of the year.
Ko e fonua ʻoku tokangaʻi ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua: ko e fofonga ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻoku ʻafio maʻu ki ai, mei he kamataʻanga ʻoe taʻu ki hono ngataʻanga ʻoe taʻu.
13 And it has been, if you listen diligently to My commands which I am commanding you today, to love your God YHWH, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
“Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, kapau te mou faʻa tokanga ki heʻeku ngaahi fekau ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau ai kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻaho ni, ke ʻofa kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, pea ke tauhi ʻaki ia homou loto kotoa mo homou laumālie kotoa,
14 then I have given the rain of your land in its season—autumn rain and spring rain—and you have gathered your grain, and your new wine, and your oil,
Te u tuku ai kiate kimoutolu ʻae ʻuha ʻo homou fonua ʻi hono faʻahitaʻu totonu, ʻae ʻuha muʻa mo e ʻuha mui, koeʻuhi ke ke tānaki hoʻo uite, mo hoʻo uaine, mo hoʻo lolo.
15 and I have given herbs in your field for your livestock, and you have eaten and been satisfied.
Pea te u ʻatu ʻae mohuku ki he fonua ki hoʻo fanga manu, koeʻuhi ke ke kai pea ke mākona.
16 Take heed to yourselves lest your heart be enticed, and you have turned aside, and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them,
Vakai kiate kimoutolu naʻa kākāʻia homou loto, pea mou tafoki, pea tauhi ʻae ngaahi ʻotua kehe, pea lotu kiate kinautolu;
17 and the anger of YHWH has burned against you, and He has restrained the heavens and there is no rain, and the ground does not give her increase, and you have perished quickly from off the good land which YHWH is giving to you.
Pea tupu ai ʻae houhau ʻo Sihova kiate kimoutolu, pea tāpuni ai ʻae langi, ke ʻoua naʻa ʻuha, pea ke ʻoua naʻa tupu ʻi he fonua hono ngaahi fua; pea mou ʻauha vave mei he fonua lelei ʻaia ʻoku foaki ʻe Sihova kiate kimoutolu.
18 And you have placed these words of mine on your heart and on your soul, and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes;
“Ko ia ke mou ʻai ʻeku ngaahi lea ni ki homou loto mo homou laumālie, pea nonoʻo ia ki ho nima ko e fakaʻilonga, pea ke ʻiate koe ia ko e pale ʻi he vahaʻa ʻo ho mata.
19 and you have taught them to your sons by speaking of them in your sitting in your house, and in your going in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up,
Pea ke mou ako ʻaki ia ki hoʻomou fānau, ʻo talanoa ki ai ʻoka ke ka nofo ʻi ho fale, pea ʻoka ke ka ʻeveʻeva ʻi he hala, ʻoka ke ka tokoto hifo, pea ʻoka ke ka tuʻu hake.
20 and have written them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
Pea ke ke tohi ia ki he ngaahi pou ʻoe matapā ʻo ho fale, pea ki ho ngaahi matapā.
21 so that your days are multiplied, and the days of your sons, on the ground which YHWH has sworn to your fathers to give to them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.
Koeʻuhi ke fakalahi ai homou ngaahi ʻaho, mo e ngaahi ʻaho ʻo hoʻomou fānau, ʻi he fonua ʻaia naʻe fuakava ki ai ʻa Sihova ki hoʻomou ngaahi tamai ke foaki kiate kinautolu, ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi ʻaho ʻoe langi ki he māmani.
22 For if you diligently keep all this command which I am commanding you to do—to love your God YHWH, to walk in all His ways, and to cleave to Him—
“He kapau te mou hangahanga tauhi ʻae ngaahi fekau ni ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau ai kiate kimoutolu ke fai ki ai, ke ʻofa kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ke ʻalu ʻi hono ngaahi hala kotoa pē, pea ke mou pikitai kiate ia;
23 then YHWH has dispossessed all these nations from before you, and you have possessed nations greater and mightier than you.
Pehē ʻe toki kapusi ai ʻe Sihova ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē mei homou ʻao, pea te mou hoko ʻo maʻu ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku lahi hake pea mālohi lahi ʻiate kimoutolu.
24 Every place on which the sole of your foot treads is yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the Euphrates River, even to the Western Sea, is your border.
Ko e potu kotoa pē ʻe tuʻu ki ai homou ʻaofivaʻe ʻe ʻomoutolu ia: mei he toafa mo Lepanoni, mei he vaitafe, ʻae vaitafe ko ʻIufaletesi, ʻio, ʻo aʻu atu ki he tahi mamaʻo ko homou potu ia.
25 No man stations himself in your presence; your God YHWH puts your dread and your fear on the face of all the land on which you tread, as He has spoken to you.
26 See, today I am setting before you a blessing and a reviling:
“Vakai, ʻoku ou tuku ʻi homou ʻao he ʻaho ni ʻae monūʻia mo e malaʻia;
27 the blessing when you listen to the commands of your God YHWH which I am commanding you today;
Ko e monūʻia, ʻo kapau te mou talangofua ki he ngaahi fekau ʻa Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate kimoutolu he ʻaho ni:
28 and the reviling if you do not listen to the commands of your God YHWH, and have turned aside from the way which I am commanding you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.
Pea ko e malaʻia, ʻokapau ʻe ʻikai te mou talangofua ki he ngaahi fekau ʻa Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ka mou tafoki ʻo afe mei he hala ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate kimoutolu he ʻaho ni, ke ʻalu ʻo muimui ʻi he ngaahi ʻotua kehe, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai te mou ʻilo.
29 And it has been, when your God YHWH brings you into the land to where you are going in to possess it, that you have given the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the reviling on Mount Ebal;
Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ʻoka ʻomi koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ki he fonua ʻaia ʻoku ke ʻalu ki ai ke maʻu ia, te ke ʻai ʻae monūʻia ki he moʻunga ko Kelisimi, mo e malaʻia ki he moʻunga ko Ipale.
30 are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going in of the sun, in the land of the Canaanite who is dwelling in the plain opposite Gilgal, near the oaks of Moreh?
‌ʻIkai ʻoku na ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Sioatani, ʻi he hala ʻaia ʻoku ʻalu hifo ai ʻae laʻā, ʻi he fonua ʻoe kakai Kēnani, ʻaia ʻoku nofo ʻi he toafa ʻo hangatonu atu ki Kilikali, ʻo ofi ki he ngaahi tafangafanga ʻo Mole?
31 For you are passing over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which your God YHWH is giving to you; and you have possessed it, and dwelt in it,
He te mou hoko atu ki he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Sioatani ke ʻalu atu ʻo maʻu ʻae fonua ʻaia ʻoku foaki ʻe Sihova ko homou ʻOtua kiate kimoutolu, pea te mou maʻu ia, pea nofo ki ai.
32 and observed to do all the statutes and the judgments which I am setting before you today.”
Pea ke mou tokanga ʻo fai ʻae ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni mo e ngaahi fakamaau ʻaia ʻoku ou fokotuʻu ʻi homou ʻao he ʻaho ni.
