Deuteronomy 10
1 “At that time YHWH has said to me, Hew two tablets of stone for yourself like the first, and come up to Me into the mountain, and you have made an ark of wood for yourself,
Naquele tempo o SENHOR me disse: Lavra para ti duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras, e sobe a mim ao monte, e faze para ti uma arca de madeira:
2 and I write on the tablets the words which were on the first tablets, which you have broken, and you have placed them in the Ark.
E escreverei naquelas tábuas palavras que estavam nas tábuas primeiras que quebraste; e as porás na arca.
3 And I make an ark of shittim wood, and hew two tablets of stone like the first, and go up to the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.
E fiz uma arca de madeira de acácia, e lavrei duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras, e subi ao monte com as duas tábuas em minha mão.
4 And He writes on the tablets according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which YHWH has spoken to you in the mountain, out of the midst of the fire, in the day of the assembly, and YHWH gives them to me,
E escreveu nas tábuas conforme a primeira escritura, os dez mandamentos que o SENHOR vos havia falado no monte do meio do fogo, no dia da assembleia; e as deu a mim o SENHOR.
5 and I turn and come down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the Ark which I had made, and they are there, as YHWH commanded me.
E voltei e desci do monte, e pus as tábuas na arca que havia feito; e ali estão, como o SENHOR me mandou.
6 And the sons of Israel have journeyed from Beeroth of the sons of Jaakan to Mosera; Aaron died there, and he is buried there, and his son Eleazar acts as priest in his stead.
(Depois partiram os filhos de Israel de Beerote-Bene-Jacacã a Moserá: ali morreu Arão, e ali foi sepultado; e em lugar seu teve o sacerdócio seu filho Eleazar.
7 From there they journeyed to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
De ali partiram a Gudgodá, e de Gudgodá a Jotbatá, terra de ribeiros de águas.
8 At that time YHWH has separated the tribe of Levi to carry the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, to stand before YHWH, to serve Him, and to bless in His Name to this day;
Naquele tempo separou o SENHOR a tribo de Levi, para que levasse a arca do pacto do SENHOR, para que estivesse diante do SENHOR para servir-lhe, e para abençoar em seu nome, até hoje.
9 therefore there has not been a portion and inheritance for Levi with his brothers; YHWH Himself [is] his inheritance, as your God YHWH has spoken to him.
Pelo qual Levi não teve parte nem herança com seus irmãos: o SENHOR é sua herança, como o SENHOR teu Deus lhe disse.)
10 And I have stood in the mountain, as the former days, [for] forty days and forty nights, and YHWH also listens to me at that time; YHWH has not willed to destroy you.
E eu estive no monte como os primeiros dias, quarenta dias e quarenta noites; e o SENHOR me ouviu também esta vez, e não quis o SENHOR destruir-te.
11 And YHWH says to me, Rise, go to journey before the people, and they go in and possess the land which I have sworn to their fathers to give to them.
E disse-me o SENHOR: Levanta-te, anda, para que partas diante do povo, para que entrem e possuam a terra que jurei a seus pais lhes havia de dar.
12 And now, O Israel, what is your God YHWH asking from you, except to fear your God YHWH, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul,
Agora, pois, Israel, que pede o SENHOR teu Deus de ti, a não ser que temas ao SENHOR teu Deus, que andes em todos os seus caminhos, e que o ames, e sirvas ao SENHOR teu Deus contudo teu coração, e com toda tua alma;
13 to keep the commands of YHWH, and His statutes which I am commanding you today, for good for you?
Que guardes os mandamentos do SENHOR e seus estatutos, que eu te prescrevo hoje, para que tenhas bem?
14 Behold, the heavens, even the heavens of the heavens, [belong] to your God YHWH, [as does] the earth and all that [is] in it.
Eis que, do SENHOR teu Deus são os céus, e os céus dos céus: a terra, e todas as coisas que há nela.
15 Only, YHWH has delighted in your fathers, to love them, and He fixes on their seed after them—on you, out of all the peoples, as [at] this day.
Somente de teus pais se agradou o SENHOR para amá-los, e escolheu sua descendência depois deles, a vós, dentre todos os povos, como neste dia.
16 And you have circumcised the foreskin of your heart, and you do not harden your neck anymore.
Circuncidai pois o prepúcio de vosso coração, e não endureçais mais vossa cerviz.
17 For He, your God YHWH, [is] God of the gods and Lord of the lords—the great, the mighty, and the fearful God, who does not accept by appearances, nor takes a bribe;
Porque o SENHOR vosso Deus é Deus de deuses, e Senhor de senhores, Deus grande, poderoso, e terrível, que não faz acepção de pessoas, nem toma suborno;
18 He is doing the judgment of fatherless and widow, and loving the sojourner, to give bread and raiment to him.
Que faz justiça ao órfão e à viúva; que ama também ao estrangeiro dando-lhe pão e roupa.
19 And you have loved the sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
Amareis pois ao estrangeiro: porque estrangeiros fostes vós em terra do Egito.
20 You fear your God YHWH, you serve Him, and you cleave to Him, and you swear by His Name.
Ao SENHOR teu Deus temerás, a ele servirás, a ele te achegarás, e por seu nome jurarás.
21 He [is] your praise, and He [is] your God, who has done these great and fearful [things] with you which your eyes have seen.
Ele é teu louvor, e ele é teu Deus, que fez contigo estas grandes e terríveis coisas que teus olhos viram.
22 Your fathers went down to Egypt with seventy persons, and now your God YHWH has made you as [the] stars of the heavens for multitude.”
Com setenta almas desceram teus pais ao Egito; e agora o SENHOR te fez como as estrelas do céu em multidão.
