< Daniel 8 >
1 “In the third year of the reign of Belshazzar the king, a vision has appeared to me—I Daniel—after that which had appeared to me at the beginning.
Iti maikatlo a tawen a panagturay ni Ari Belsazar, Siak a ni Daniel, ket adda nagparang kaniak a sirmata (kalpasan iti immuna a sirmata a nagparang kaniak).
2 And I see in a vision, and it comes to pass, in my seeing, and I [am] in Shushan the palace that [is] in Elam the province, and I see in a vision, and I have been by the stream Ulai.
Bayat ti panangkitkitak, nakitak iti sirmata, nga addaak iti nasarikedkedan a siudad ti Susa idiay probinsia ti Elam. Nakitak iti sirmata nga addaak iti abay ti Karayan Ulai.
3 And I lift up my eyes, and look, and behold, a certain ram is standing before the stream, and it has two horns, and the two horns [are] high; and one [is] higher than the other, and the high one is coming up last.
Timmangadak ket nakitak iti sangoanak ti maysa a kalakian a karnero nga addaan kadagiti dua a sara, nga agtaktakder iti abay ti karayan. At-atiddog ti maysa a sara ngem ti sabali a sara, ngem nabunbuntog nga agtubo ti at-atiddog a sara ngem ti ab-ababa ket linumbaanna a dimmakkel daytoy.
4 I have seen the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward, and no living creatures stand before it, and there is none delivering out of its hand, and it has done according to its pleasure, and has exerted itself.
Nakitak nga agwangwang-it ti kalakian a karnero nga agturong iti laud, kalpasanna iti amianan, ken kalpasanna iti abagatan; awan ti sabali nga ayup a makaparmek kenkuana. Awan kadakuada ti makabael a mangispal iti siasinoman manipud iti pannakabalinna. Inaramidna ti aniaman a kayatna, ket nagbalin isuna a nabileg.
5 And I have been considering, and behold, a young male goat has come from the west, over the face of the whole earth, whom none is touching in the earth; as for the young male goat, a conspicuous horn [is] between its eyes.
Kabayatan a panpanunotek daytoy, nakakitaak iti maysa a bulog a kalding nga um-umay manipud iti laud, iti ngatoen ti entero a daga, kasta unay ti pardas ti tarayna, kasla saan nga agdisso dagiti sakana iti daga. Addaan iti dakkel a sara ti kalding iti nagbaetan dagiti matana.
6 And it comes to the ram possessing the two horns, that I had seen standing before the stream, and runs to it in the fury of its power.
Nagturong isuna iti ayan ti kalakian a karnero nga addaan kadagiti dua a sara—nakitak ti karnero nga agtaktakder iti igid ti karayan—ket nakarungrungsot a nagtaray ti kalding nga agturong iti ayan ti karnero.
7 And I have seen it coming near the ram, and it becomes embittered at it, and strikes the ram, and breaks its two horns, and there has been no power in the ram to stand before it, and it casts it to the earth, and tramples it down, and there has been no deliverer to the ram out of its power.
Nakitak nga umas-asideg ti kalding iti karnero. Makapungtot unay isuna iti karnero, ket sinangdona ti karnero ket natukkol dagiti dua a sara daytoy. Awan ti kabaelan ti karnero a makiranget kenkuana. Tinumba isuna iti kalding iti daga ket impayatpayatna daytoy. Awan ti siasinoman a makaispal iti karnero manipud iti pannakabalinna.
8 And the young male goat has exerted itself very much, and when it is strong, the great horn has been broken; and a vision of four comes up in its place, at the four winds of the heavens.
Ket dimmakkel unay ti kalding. Ngem idi pimmigsa isuna, natukkol ti dakkel a sarana, ket iti nakaikkatan ti sarana, nagtubo dagiti uppat a dadakkel a sara a nakaturong kadagiti uppat nga angin dagiti langit.
9 And from one of them has come forth a little horn, and it exerts itself greatly toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beautiful [land];
Adda nagtubo a sabali a sara manipud iti maysa kadagitoy, bassit idi un-unana, ngem dimmakkel unay iti abagatan, iti daya, ken idiay nadayag a daga ti Israel.
10 indeed, it exerts to the host of the heavens, and causes to fall to the earth of the host, and of the stars, and tramples them down.
Dimmakkel unay daytoy a kasla makigubat payen iti armada ti langit. Sumagmamano iti dayta nga armada ken sumagmamano kadagiti bituen ket naitappuak iti daga, ket impayatpayatna dagitoy.
11 And to the prince of the host it exerts itself, and the continual [sacrifice] has been taken away by it, and thrown down the base of his sanctuary.
Bimmileg unay daytoy, kabilbileg pay iti armada ti nadiosan a mangidadaulo. Ti kadawyan a daton a mapuoran ket innalada kenkuana, ken natulawan ti santuariona.
12 And the host is given up, with the continual [sacrifice], through transgression, and it throws down truth to the earth, and it has worked, and prospered.
Gapu iti panagrebelde, maitedto ti armada iti sara ti kalding, ket maisardengto ti daton a mapuoran. Itinnagto ti sara ti kinapudno iti daga, ket agballiginto daytoy iti aniaman nga ar-aramidenna.
13 And I hear a certain holy one speaking, and a certain holy one says to the wonderful numberer who is speaking: Until when [is] the vision of the continual [sacrifice], and of the transgression, an astonishment, to make a treading down of both sanctuary and host?
Kalpasanna, nangngegko ti maysa a nasantoan nga agsasao ket sungsungbatan isuna ti sabali a nasantoan. “Kasano kapaut dagitoy a banbanag, daytoy a sirmata maipapan iti daton a mapuoran, ti basol a mangyeg iti pannakadadael, ti pannakaiyawat ti santuario, ken ti panakaipayatpayat ti armada ti langit?”
14 And he says to me, Until evening—morning two thousand and three hundred, then is the holy place declared right.
Kinunana kaniak, “Agpaut daytoy iti 2, 300 a rabii ken agsapa. Kalpasan dayta sumayaatto ti santuario.”
15 And it comes to pass in my seeing—I, Daniel—the vision, that I require understanding, and behold, standing before me [is] as the appearance of a mighty one.
Idi nakitak ti sirmata, siak a ni Daniel ket pinadasko nga awaten daytoy. Ket adda nagtakder iti sangoanak nga aglanglanga a kasla maysa a tao.
16 And I hear a voice of man between [the banks of] Ulai, and he calls and says: Gabriel, cause this [one] to understand the appearance.
Nakangngegak iti timek ti tao nga agpukpukkaw iti nagbaetan dagiti teppang ti Karayan Ulai. Kinunana, “Gabriel, tulongam a maawatan daytoy a tao ti sirmata.”
17 And he comes in near my station, and at his coming in I have been afraid, and I fall on my face, and he says to me: Understand, son of man, for at the time of the end [is] the vision.
Isu nga immasideg isuna iti pagtaktakderak. Idi dimteng isuna, nagbutengak ket nagpaklebak iti daga. Kinunana kaniak, “Anak ti tao, awatem a ti sirmata ket para iti tiempo ti panungpalan.”
18 And in his speaking with me, I have been in a trance on my face, on the earth; and he comes against me, and causes me to stand on my station,
Idi makisasao isuna kaniak, nakaturogak ti narnekan a sipapakleb iti daga. Ket sinagidnak ken pinatakdernak.
19 and says: Behold, I am causing you to know that which is in the latter end of the indignation; for at the appointed time [is] the end.
Kinunana, “Kitaem, ipakitak kenka ti mapasamakto iti maud-udi a tiempo ti pungtot, gapu ta maseknan ti sirmata iti naikeddeng a tiempo iti panungpalan.
20 The ram that you have seen possessing two horns, [are] the kings of Media and Persia.
Ket maipapan iti nakitam a kalakian a karnero, ti addaan kadagiti dua a sara— isuda dagiti ari ti Medes ken Persia.
21 And the young male goat, the hairy one, [is] the king of Javan; and the great horn that [is] between its eyes is the first king;
Ti bulog a kalding ket ti ari ti Grecia. Ti dakkel a sara iti nagbaetan dagiti matana ket ti umuna nga ari.
22 and that being broken, four stand up in its place, four kingdoms stand up from the nation, and not in its power.
Ket maipapan iti sara a natukkol, iti disso a nagtuboan ti sabali nga uppat— tumaudto dagiti uppat a pagarian manipud iti nasionna, ngem saan a kabilbileg ti pannakabalinna.
23 And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, a king stands up, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things;
Iti maud-udi a tiempo dagitoy a pagarian, inton agpatingga ti kinadakesda, tumaudto ti maysa a nakabutbuteng ti rupana nga ari a nalaing unay.
24 and his power has been mighty, and not by his own power; and he destroys wonderful things, and he has prospered, and worked, and destroyed mighty ones, and the people of the Holy Ones.
Nabilegto ti pannakabalinna— ngem saan a babaen iti bukodna a pannakabalin. Nalawanto ti dadaelenna, ket agballiginto isuna iti aniaman nga aramidenna. Dadaelennanto dagiti nabileg a tattao, tattao a nasantoan.
25 And by his understanding he has also caused deceit to prosper in his hand, and in his heart he exerts himself, and by ease he destroys many; and he stands against the Prince of princes—and he is broken without hand.
Babaen iti kinasikapna rumang-ayto iti panangallilaw iti imana. Tumakderto pay isuna a bumusor iti Ari dagiti ari, ken maparmekto isuna— ngem saan a babaen iti pannakabalin ti tao.
26 And the appearance of the evening and of the morning, that is told, is true; and you, hide the vision, for [it is] after many days.
Ti sirmata a naibaga maipapan kadagiti rabii ken kadagiti agsapa ket pudno. Ngem selioam ti sirmata, ta dakdakamatenna daytoy dagiti adu nga aldaw iti masakbayan.”
27 And I, Daniel, have been, indeed, I became sick [for] days, and I rise, and do the king’s work, and am astonished at the appearance, and there is none understanding.”
Ket siak a ni Daniel, kimmapsut ken nagsakitak iti sumagmamano nga aldaw. Kalpasanna, bimmangonak ket intuloyko ti pakaseknan ti ari. Ngem maikulkulengak gapu iti sirmata, ket awan ti siasinoman a makaawat iti daytoy.
