Daniel 3
1 Nebuchadnezzar the king has made an image of gold, its height sixty cubits, its breadth six cubits; he has raised it up in the Valley of Dura, in the province of Babylon;
El rey Nabucodonosor hizo una estatua de oro, la altura de la cual era de sesenta codos, su anchura de seis codos: levantóla en el campo de Dura, en la provincia de Babilonia.
2 and Nebuchadnezzar the king has sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the rulers of the province, to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up.
Y envió el rey Nabucodonosor a juntar los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes: oidores, receptores, los del consejo, presidentes, y a todos los gobernadores de las provincias, para que viniesen a la dedicación de la estatua, que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.
3 Then are gathered the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the rulers of the province, to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up: and they are standing before the image that Nebuchadnezzar has raised up.
Y fueron congregados los grandes, los asistentes, y capitanes, los oidores, receptores, los del consejo, los presidentes, y todos los gobernadores de las provincias, a la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado; y estaban en pie delante de la estatua que había levantado el rey Nabucodonosor.
4 And a crier is calling mightily: “They are saying to you: O peoples, nations, and languages!
Y el pregonero pregonaba a alta voz: Mándase a vosotros, pueblos, naciones, y lenguajes:
5 At the time that you hear the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, the symphony, and all kinds of music, you fall down and pay respect to the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up:
En oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del atambor, de la arpa, del salterio, de la sinfonía, y de todo instrumento músico, os postraréis, y adoraréis la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor ha levantado.
6 and whoever does not fall down and pay respect, in that hour he is cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”
Y cualquiera que no se prostrare, y la adorare, en la misma hora será echado dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.
7 Therefore at that time, when all the peoples are hearing the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and all kinds of music, falling down are all the peoples, nations and languages, worshiping the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up.
Por lo cual en oyendo todos los pueblos el son de la bocina, del pífano, del atambor, de la arpa, del salterio, de la sinfonía, y de todo instrumento músico, todos los pueblos, naciones, y lenguajes se postraron, y adoraron la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.
8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans have drawn near, and accused the Jews;
Por esto en el mismo tiempo algunos varones Caldeos se llegaron, y denunciaron de los Judíos:
9 they have answered, indeed, they are saying to Nebuchadnezzar the king, “O king, live for all ages!
Hablando, y diciendo al rey Nabucodonosor: Rey, para siempre vive.
10 You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and the symphony, and all kinds of music, falls down and pays respect to the golden image;
Tú, o! rey, pusiste ley, que todo hombre en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del atambor, de la arpa, del salterio, de la sinfonía, y de todo instrumento músico, se postrase y adorase la estatua de oro:
11 and whoever does not fall down and pay respect, is cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
Y el que no se postrase, y la adorase, fuese echado dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.
12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the work of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, these men have not made of you, O king, [any] regard; your gods they are not serving, and to the golden image you have raised up—are not making worship.”
Hay unos varones Judíos, los cuales tú pusiste sobre los negocios de la provincia de Babilonia, Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago: estos varones, o! rey, no han hecho cuenta de ti: no adoran tus dioses, no adoran la estatua de oro, que tú levantaste.
13 Then Nebuchadnezzar, in anger and fury, has said to bring in Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. Then these men have been brought in before the king.
Entonces Nabucodonosor dijo con ira y con enojo, que trajesen a Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago: luego estos varones fueron traídos delante del rey.
14 Nebuchadnezzar has answered and said to them, “Is [it] a laid plan, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego—my gods you are not serving, and to the golden image that I have raised up you are not worshiping?
Habló Nabucodonosor, y díjoles: ¿Es verdad, Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago, que vosotros no honráis a mi dios, ni adoráis la estatua de oro que yo levanté?
15 Now behold, you are ready, so that at the time that you hear the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, and the symphony, and all kinds of music, you fall down and pay respect to the image that I have made! But if you do not worship—in that hour you are cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; who is that God who delivers you out of my hands?”
Ahora pues, ¿estáis prestos para que en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del atambor, de la arpa, del salterio, de la sinfonía, y de todo instrumento músico, os postréis, y adoréis la estatua que yo hice? Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio del horno de fuego ardiendo: ¿Y qué dios será aquel que os libre de mis manos?
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego have answered, indeed, they are saying to King Nebuchadnezzar, “We have no need concerning this matter to answer you.
Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago respondieron, y dijeron al rey Nabucodonosor: No curamos de responderte sobre este negocio.
17 Behold, it is; our God whom we are serving, is able to deliver us from a burning fiery furnace; and from your hand, O king, He delivers.
He aquí nuestro Dios, a quien honramos, puede librarnos del horno de fuego ardiendo; y de tu mano, o! rey, nos librará.
18 And behold—not! Be it known to you, O king, that we are not serving your gods, and we do not worship the golden image you have raised up.”
Y si no: sepas, o! rey, que tu dios no adoraremos, y la estatua que tú levantaste no honraremos.
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar has been full of fury, and the expression of his face has been changed concerning Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; he answered and said to heat the furnace seven times above that which it is seen to be heated;
Entonces Nabucodonosor fue lleno de ira, y la figura de su rostro se demudó sobre Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago: habló, y mandó que el horno se encendiese siete veces tanto de lo que cada vez solía.
20 and to certain mighty men who [are] in his force he has said to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, to cast into the burning fiery furnace.
Y mandó a hombres valientes en fuerza que estaban en su ejército, que atasen a Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago, para echarlos en el horno de fuego ardiendo.
21 Then these men have been bound in their coats, their tunics, and their turbans, and their clothing, and have been cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Entonces estos varones fueron atados con sus mantos, y sus calzas, y sus turbantes, y sus vestidos, y fueron echados dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.
22 Therefore, because that the word of the king is urgent, and the furnace heated exceedingly, those men who have taken up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego—the spark of the fire has killed them.
Porque la palabra del rey daba priesa, y había procurado que se encendiese mucho. La llama del fuego mató a aquellos hombres que habían alzado a Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, have fallen down in the midst of the burning fiery furnace—bound.
Y estos tres varones Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago cayeron atados dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king has been astonished, and has risen in haste; he has answered and said to his counselors, “Have we not cast three men into the midst of the fire—bound?” They have answered and are saying to the king, “Certainly, O king.”
Entonces el rey Nabucodonosor se espantó, y se levantó apriesa, y habló, y dijo a los de su consejo: ¿No echamos tres varones atados dentro del fuego? Ellos respondieron, y dijeron al rey: Es verdad, o! rey.
25 He answered and has said, “Behold, I am seeing four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth [is] like to a son of the gods.”
Respondió, y dijo: He aquí que yo veo cuatro varones sueltos, que se pasean en medio del fuego; y ningún daño hay en ellos; y el parecer del cuarto es semejante a hijo de Dios.
26 Then Nebuchadnezzar has drawn near to the gate of the burning fiery furnace; he has answered and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of God Most High come forth, indeed, come”; then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego come forth, from the midst of the fire;
Entonces allegóse Nabucodonosor a la puerta del horno de fuego ardiendo, y habló, y dijo: Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago, siervos del Alto Dios, salíd, y veníd. Entonces Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago salieron de en medio del fuego.
27 and gathered together, the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, and the counselors of the king, are seeing these men, that the fire has no power over their bodies, and the hair of their head has not been singed, and their coats have not changed, and the smell of fire has not passed on them.
Y juntáronse los grandes, los gobernadores, y los capitanes, y los del consejo del rey para mirar estos varones, como el fuego no se enseñoreó de sus cuerpos: ni cabello de sus cabezas fue quemado, ni sus ropas se mudaron, ni olor de fuego pasó por ellos.
28 Nebuchadnezzar has answered and has said, “Blessed [is] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who has sent His messenger, and has delivered His servants who trusted on Him.” And the word of the king changed, and gave up their bodies that they might not serve nor pay respect to any god except to their own God.
Nabucodonosor habló, y dijo: Bendito el Dios de ellos, de Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago, que envió su ángel, y libró sus siervos que esperaron en él, y el mandamiento del rey mudaron, y entregaron sus cuerpos antes que sirviesen ni adorasen otro dios que su Dios.
29 “And by me a decree is made, that any people, nation, and language, that speaks erroneously concerning the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, he is made pieces, and its house is made a dunghill, because that there is no other god who is able thus to deliver.”
Por mí pues se pone decreto, que todo pueblo, nación, o lenguaje que dijere blasfemia contra el Dios de Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago, sea descuartizado, y su casa sea puesta por muladar; por cuanto no hay Dios que pueda librar como este.
30 Then the king has caused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, to prosper in the province of Babylon.
Entonces el rey ennobleció a Sidrac, Misac, y Abdenago en la provincia de Babilonia.
