Daniel 12
1 “And at that time Michael stands up, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of your people, and there has been a time of distress, such as has not been since there has been a nation until that time, and at that time your people escape, everyone who is found written in the scroll.
E naquele tempo se levantará Michael, o grande príncipe, que se levanta a favor dos filhos do teu povo, e haverá um tempo de angústia, qual nunca houve, desde que houve nação até àquele tempo; porém naquele tempo livrar-se-á o teu povo, todo aquele que se achar escrito no livro.
2 And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground awake, some to continuous life, and some to reproaches—to continuous abhorrence.
E muitos dos que dormem no pó da terra ressuscitarão, uns para vida eterna, e outros para vergonha e para nojo eterno.
3 And those teaching shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars for all time and forever.”
Os entendidos pois resplandecerão como o resplandor do firmamento, e os que a muitos ensinam a justiça como as estrelas sempre e eternamente.
4 “And you, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the scroll until the time of the end, many go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.”
E tu, Daniel, fecha estas palavras e sela este livro, até ao fim do tempo: então muitos passarão, lendo-o, e a ciência se multiplicará.
5 “And I have looked—I, Daniel—and behold, two others are standing, one here at the edge of the flood and one there at the edge of the flood,
E eu, Daniel, olhei, e eis que estavam em pé outros dois, um desta banda, à beira do rio, e o outro da outra banda, à beira do rio.
6 and he says to the one clothed in linen, who [is] on the waters of the flood, Until when [is] the end of these wonders?
E ele disse ao homem vestido de linho, que estava sobre as águas do rio: Até quando será o fim das maravilhas?
7 And I hear the one clothed in linen, who [is] on the waters of the flood, and he lifts up his right hand and his left to the heavens, and swears by Him who is living for all time, that, After a time, times, and a half, and at the completion of the scattering of the power of the holy people, all these are finished.
E ouvi o homem vestido de linho, que estava sobre as águas do rio, e levantou a sua mão direita e a sua mão esquerda ao céu, e jurou por aquele que vive eternamente que depois do determinado tempo, determinados tempos e a metade do tempo, e quando acabar de espalhar o poder do povo santo, todas estas coisas serão cumpridas.
8 And I have heard, and I do not understand, and I say, O my lord, what [is] the latter end of these?
Eu pois ouvi, mas não entendi; por isso eu disse: Senhor meu, qual será o fim destas coisas?
9 And he says, Go, Daniel; for hidden and sealed [are] the things until the time of the end.
E disse: vai, Daniel, porque estas palavras estão fechadas e seladas até ao tempo do fim.
10 Purify themselves, indeed, make themselves white, indeed, many are refined: and the wicked have done wickedly, and none of the wicked understand, and those acting wisely understand;
Muitos serão purgados, e embranquecidos, e provados; mas os ímpios obrarão impiamente, e nenhum dos ímpios entenderá, mas os entendidos entenderão.
11 and from the time of the turning aside of the continuous [sacrifice], and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, [are] one thousand, two hundred, and ninety days.
E desde o tempo em que o contínuo sacrifício for tirado, e posta a abominação assoladora, serão mil, duzentos e noventa dias.
12 O the blessedness of him who is waiting earnestly, and comes to the one thousand, three hundred, thirty-five days.
Bem-aventurado o que espera e chega até mil, trezentos e trinta e cinco dias.
13 And you, go on to the end, then you rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.”
Tu, porém, vai até ao fim; porque repousarás, e te levantarás na tua sorte, no fim dos dias.
